Thank you guys, for youtubers, my 2010 Honda civic yellow engine light was on, diagnosed ECT 2 sensor, I didn't replace coolant for 10 years since brand new. After replacing coolant, keep driving car with yellow lights for a month. Finally yellow is gone never come back. Honda quality still good ECT2.

Note: the top sensor in the engine has a BLACK female receptor, while the unit at the bottom of the radiator
is a WHITE one (2009 Civic). They are not the same sensors top and bottom as stated in the video.

Wasnt able to get the bottom one off. Didnt have the time to mess with it. Wondering if you could tell me that one would be for the bottom.

I did some radiator work on my 2006 Honda Fit last night, and when doing the "burp" procedure it took 50 minutes(!) of idling before the fans finally came on, and over an hour before they ran a second time. Each time they only ran for about 5 seconds. Coolant temperature (ECT1) was about 95 degC, so I don't think there's a problem, just be aware that you might have to wait a while!

Is it the same location as what looks like a Honda Civic in the video? 2.) In the video the wiring for the ECT male looks like it’s connected to a circular part. What is that part?

I have a bad thermostat code P0128, replaced it. But check engine light came back after 2 weeks. Cleared the code. 2 weeks later, it came back. Could it be a bad temp sensor? Both fans comes on when the AC is on (this is the only time my cooling fan will come on, otherwise it does not come on when temp is at normal range). Temp gauge was good, not overheating. But now a week later my temp gauge doesnt even get close to the normal range which would normally be half way on the gauge. It would only go up 1-4-1/3 up now, still on the cool side. Coolant was drained, bled and topped off. I really hope it was not a faulty thermostat. Maybe bad ECT? Please help.

I couldn't find a concrete answer - I would assume the sensor before the radiator (top) since it's a better representation of the coolant temp in the engine but for fan control there's likely some control logic based on the difference between the inlet and outlet temps on the radiator so both.

the white radiator sensor Part No is: 37870-RTA-005
And the black top sensor part No is: 37870-PLC-004
My 2010 Civic EX was also running cold So I changed the Thermostat and all of the codes went away.

What were the symptoms? I have the same problem I think

@@IzzyFX007 I changed the sensors shown on the video with OEM parts and I also changed the Thermostat all at the same time and that fixed my problem to this day.
The symptoms were that my Honda was always running cold, the temperature meter would never go above 2 or 3 dots. I was also getting very poor gas milage.
Once I replaced the sensors and the thermostat it all went away.
But make sure you get the OEM parts specially the thermostat.
I had previously changed the thermostat with an aftermarket part and it never worked.
