Very good vid man. Very helpful. I had gone to the service shop, they ran a scan and the code was P0128 (thermostat). They said that it would cost ~$100 to replace. Now I can see how easy this is and will do it myself. Greetings from Dominican Republic.
No problem, did you replace it already? Code kept coming up on mine and would stick around for awhile disappear and come back. Once I figured out what the code was for I replaced the thermostat and it been fine ever since.
I haven't seen any error codes but my '12 civic runs cold. Never comes up to operating temp in the winter. Hope a new thermostat will solve . Thanks for the video. (Local shops want $100-$150 to do this so will try to do it myself.)
Yes because you should drain it from underneath first. If not you will loose it all from the thermostat housing anyway. Use a basin to catch the fluid. I wouldn't suggest using the same fluid again unless it's new. It's cheap enough just to replace it
