One of the best DIY videos I've seen. Easy to understand and helpful all the way through 👏
Thanks appreciate you!
Ty for this video. I’m a 25 year old woman and was able to do this on my 2012 Civic with no issue thanks to you and several other repair videos I’ve watched. I’ve replaced my blower motor, engine air filter, and now my thermostat thanks to helpful people like you giving us these gems. This was my first repair that I’ve done under the hood. I was intimidated at first but once I got going I found the confidence to continue. Thank you for saving me money and keeping me educated on my car. I love my civic! These cars are so reliable and relatively inexpensive and easy to repair when issues crop up. I’m a Honda owner for life. Only ever driven Honda’s and they’ve never failed me. 💁🏽♀️💙
🖤👊🏾!
Very helpful with the mirror. Thank you!
Thank you for this dude!
great job , thank you JBP
The fucking mechanics charge me 170 dollar for the same shit I can't believe it's that easy. Thank you for sharing this video brother. We need more video like this people who has Hondas look for videos like this brother
Price sounds correct. Parts and labor .
More maintenance video of the 9th gen civic please
Good video. When refilling the cooling system, it is recommended to turn the Heater Temperature Selector to HOT and the blower to HIGH to remove air bubbles from the heater core.
Yes, you are right.
thanks for the tip bros👌
Good job, have you used the Autozone universal coolant in a lot of vehicles?
Thanks, not really wouldn’t be my first choice. My nephew bought the parts..
Great Video. Thanks.
What is easiest way to replace coolant in my 2012 civic?
Open the radiator drain plug and make sure to bleed the system on refill.
good video thanks how about the other sensor on the rad. ?
Didn’t need it.
What if the coolant temp on my 2013 civic is too cold? I noticed its like 140 or 150 according to my scan tool.
That's probably the thermostat being stuck open?
Yes, thermostats.
just curious, isnt it a good idea to change both the upper and lower hoses since the coolant is now drained? and to have fresh hoses ?
It really all depends on the condition of the car and what the owner is willing to pay for.
@@Jbonly21 thanks
If your hoses are effed up sure if not why spend the money
I bought both water temp sensors for 2012 Civic 1.8. one is 37870-RTA-005 and the plastic is white, the other is 37870-RWC-A01 and the plastic is gray. which one goes where???
RTA 005 fits?
Yes! It takes both of them.
Do you HAVE to drain the coolant when changing the thermostat?
Yes, or it’s just going to spill out when you remove the housing.
What if my radiator fans aren't coming on and it overheats?
You can disconnect the fan connector and check if you have power at the connector. If you do the fan is bad, and if you don’t check the fan relay and fuse.
Coolant sensor is responsible for fan to automatically turn on?
No, there is a fan switch sensor and a fan relay.
Yeah it must be my thermostat because the bottom hose is dead cold.
Hondas only take Blue coolant
The universal extended life coolant he used is perfectly fine, works in all makes and models and mixes flawlessly with any color coolant.
