They thought they had picked like-minded folks when they were eliminating the black people from the process, but the very people they felt would be biased were just the opposite. That was a very fair and just verdict. Thanks to the Lord, jurors, prosecutors, judge, and Mrs. Wanda Cooper- Jones/Mr. Marcus Arbery. Now there's more to be locked away for the parts they played in this hateful act. Their BUTTS are literally out.

I was using this as a hypothetical example of deputizing myself with a weapon and confronting a criminal or suspected criminal trying to be a hero which is often a motive for incidents like this. Likely these two wanted to “play hero” and that is why they confronted a suspected criminal with weapons. McMichael sounds like he is clearly bragging of his “Red Man Training” in the testimony. They likely wanted fame as heroes and likely set this up from the get-go thinking they could hone their training skills as vigilantes. Likely Ahmaud fought because the McMichaels confronted him as if they were white supremacists lynching him from a pickup truck with an armed man standing in the back. Ahmaud likely thought he was being lynched by them which is why he chose to go out fighting. They likely decided to use Ahmaud as a target to hone their training on and set up a stunt to impress law enforcement by their “heroism” given their law enforcement status. Travis McMichael told several lies on the stand. 1) He said the reason why he didn't pursue Arbery when he allegedly saw him at the open site 2 weeks prior to the homicide was because he's, "NOT gonna chase after a person IF I THINK THEY'RE ARMED" Wow!!
That's a lie & contradiction because he told police the day he killed Arbery that the reason they chased him with guns was because they "THOUGHT HE WAS ARMED"
      2) He said he saw Arbery coming straight at him "like a running back". Well I guess he don't watch too much football because it's clear as day that Arbery was running at a jogging pace based on the evidence of the video! AND his testimony completely contradicts what he told police the day he killed him because both he & his dad told investigators that Arbery "appeared to be getting tired" and that Arbery "knew we had him trapped like a rat"
      3) Travis testified when he was pursuing Arbery that he "asked" him to "please stop we wanna talk to u"
Well that's not what his dad said to the detectives. Because the detectives said that Greg McMichael admitted to shouting at Arbery to "Stop running or I'll blow ur f@cking head off!"

The way no one tried to render aid to Mr. Aubrey as he was still holding on. They wouldn’t have even been charged if the media gone National with the video. L Browne,
I lost count of Travis’s lies. As you say, he probably knew Arbery didn’t have a gun, since it would’ve fallen from his pocket or waistband as he ran. Also, the stuff about fearing for his father’s safety makes no sense. His dad was up in the bed of the truck with a gun. Arbery was on the ground and obviously unarmed. Greg had the upper hand in that situation, and Travis knew it.
      Other lies:
      1. He said he knew his dad had a gun but he didn’t see it. That makes no sense. Look at how tight Greg’s pants were that day. No way a gun would fit in them, especially if he was leaning forward and wedging himself into that kid’s car seat. The gun was obviously out and in Greg’s hand and Travis knew it.
      2. Greg told police he said, “Stop, or I’ll blow your f*cking head off!” When the prosecutor asked Travis what his dad said, Travis said he couldn’t remember his dad saying that and couldn’t remember what his dad said. Yeah right.
      3. He tries to act like Ahmaud was “attacking” Roddie’s truck. This lie was so blatant and stupid that I guffawed and felt insulted at the same time. Does Travis think everyone is stupid?!
      4. All that stuff about Ahmaud looking menacing 12 days before the murder sounds like bad acting from Travis. He says Ahmaud lurked in the shadows and was reaching for his waistband as though reaching for a gun. Sounds like he’s exaggerating and wants everyone to think that Ahmaud is some scary boogeyman. If he was so scared of Ahmaud that night, why go home and get his father, a man who has had a stroke, a heart attack, and a busted hip, to go into the dark house before the police even arrive?!
