For the rubber strap on a dress watch question, I assume humid climate might have prompted that question (Florida?), what about Milanese mesh? Looks better than rubber, breaths better than solid leather strap, and doesn't frail. Would that work for you, Fed?
Would a perlon strap for summer keep the dressy style together or be another no go in your opinion?
My beef with the omega railmaster and the sea master 300 is the faux patina. Why not just do the same watch but with white lume. Would make a huge difference.
I agree, fauxtina looks silly to me.
The Railmaster " Denim" has white lumen , not Faux patina, thats why i chose it !.
@@treasurecoastgypsy I also own the denim Railmaster. I love it, but the fabric strap NATO had to go; made it look comical. I wear in on leather or other colored NATOs.

38-40 is good for a near bezeless watch, 38 even looks great. On a diver, 42, is good, because I like to see the dial, 40mm diver is like a 36 or 38mm diall. At least for my wrist. Only exception is fliegers, they were meant to be big. 44-48mm especially B dials. Again to each their own.

I appreciate the Railmaster v. Explorer comment. I am currently waiting on the "not-a-list" wait list for an Explorer while I save/think of excuses to run past the wife. I may end up going to an Railmaster when I hit 5K (or think of a good enough excuse). As always, I love the video. You bring a different perspecitve to the hobby that I realy enjoy.

I have to be honest when fed mentioned shoes I though he was going mention garbage brands, pleasantly surprised with his response especially the Crockett and Jones mention, they make great shoes and Allen Edmonds are solid.

I personally think 40mm is to big with the exception of dive watches. I think 36mm-38mm is the perfect size.
It's all in proportion to the size of the wrist though

So there are folks who really first need other’s opinion whether they should put rubber straps on dress watches? Wonder who picks their daily wardrobe
As someone managed to run the Railmaster as a owc I have to strongly disagree with you there.
The Railmaster gives a completely different vibe then the Exp1. If you are looking at the Exp1 you might look at the bb36, not at the Railmaster. Take both side by side and you will know the difference. The Railmaster would compare to the 1016, the Tudor Ranger or Sinn 556A.
Dont buy the Railmaster as a placeholder, substitute or alternative for the Exp1. It just is not.
The Rolex Cellini is WR to the same level of the bar sink as a Speedy Pro is and both look equally hideous on a rubber strap.
Hate the fake tritium lume on the Railmaster

One could purchase every dial color of the BB36 and still have enough left to buy a nice Seiko. Rolex prices are completely retarded.

@@FedericoTalksWatches I don’t think any of us are commenting on Del Ray’s sales strategy, which is sound. More of a commentary on the craziness that Rolex has caused.
I’m not questioning Delray watch pricing at all. The people who buy set the price. I like making money too. My point was you can dislike Rolex all day long but there are not many products you can walk out of the store and make 40% on.

Rolex is overrated. When I had a chance to buy a $6,000 watch I did not hesitate to buy my blue dial sea master. Omega is absolutely the best watch in the market. Not to mention Omega was the first watch that went to space.
