  • Young designer Phil Crook won a competition for innovative furniture design in 2009. This is the story of how his sofa 'design for compact living' was upholstered. The intricate and innovative shape posed some interesting challenges.

    I quite like the idea behind his design. The whole sofa can be split into two functioning chairs that also happen to be part of a three seater Sofa.
    I deal Homes is a great showcase for you're ideas mate, I've been there and i loved it! :)

    Oh yeah, I would love to spend a bunch of money on an ugly, uncomfortable couch. Where do I sign up?
    Maybe instead of spending extra money on a ugly, crappy couch, the couple this douche bag envisions would buy it could maybe get a bigger place and a nice couch. Anyway, this couch would be a pain to move, and it looks cheap, and it looks like it sucked making it, especially since the reward was a piece of shit. What could these other designs have been like that he won?
