Came on here to find out how to deep button during upholstery and found this ... absolutely brilliant, couldn't be clearer, and to be honest it's a relief not to have to listen to someone wittering on when the video speaks for itself. Thanks for posting ... I'm off to deep button a foot stool!

How could 29 viewers give this a thumbs down? It was clear, direct and no wasted time rambling or forcing the viewers to watch stupid commercials. Not to mention the talent of the upholsterer. I suppose out of a quarter million that's quite good, Excellent vid, keep 'um coming.

Rick James because it's not informative it's a tiny bit of footage of a man deep buttoning!

The camera should have filmed from the wadding going on and the formation of the first diamond shape and the development of the rest as progressing to the final two. We get the idea that the needle goes in the top front and emerges from the back!!!

    hi thanks for this video,
is there any rule how can I choose the right hole size (diameter) on the padding relation to the button size for this excellent finish? same smaller or a bit bigger as the button itself?
    thanks in advance

Does anyone know how to do the knot that he used? Or maybe a step by step how to for deep buttoning? I have a couch I am reupholstering and it would be really helpful!

My name is also Darren, the knot he is using is a slip knot the most used knot in upholstery. Good work but don't understand using terylene on an antique piece instead of cotton or wool felt.

Daniel - if you can't figure it out and you feel you wasted 3 minutes of your life watching this... who is the stupid one? There was nothing stopping you from walking away from the screen. Why don't you get busy making your idea of a better version, and post it as a reply so we can all laugh.

Why people are stupid enough to call video's 'how to...' with out giving out any instructions as to how, what or why they are doing things defeats me. Just wasted another 3mins of my life watching some middle aged man shuffle around at no benefit to myself.
