I just watched your video and I am speechless in front of your editing. simply STUNNING. The most beautiful PORSCHE 934 RSR 1/12 TAMIYA that I have seen on the net. it changes from the eternal racing version JAGERMEISTER or VAILLANT. Moreover, I'm really a fan of this 934 RSR 1/12 TAMIYA that I also built a long time ago and also in a "street" version. Another big BRAVO. Long live your next "victim".
Awesome build. Only comment I would make is I saw another builder add small magnets to the doors/bonnet to ensure there was a flush close. Your panel gaps would have been awesome.
I got this exact kit for Christmas when it came out as a kid! Was the first 1/12 scale model I did and I worked really hard on it. I still have it all these years later sitting in my office on a shelf. Like you I went the street look. All these years later I actually own an air cooled 911. It’s SHOCKING how accurate the parts are to a real 911. Such a great kit. It was expensive but so detailed.
I read a book about Tamiya's history. To assist with the design of the first 911 kits, they literally bought a real Porsche and took it apart to study each component.
Finally a model video without stupid background music, I would much rather listen to a sped up, sound of sanding, scribing or painting over some auto computer generated music. And besides that absolutely astonishing work thank you for the absolute best viewing experience for this build.
Not only is it a tribute to your amazing modelling skill,s but also to the incredible skill and artisanship of the engineers at Tamiya in producing this model all those years ago.
Looking at your build bring back memories to me. I made with my father this model when i was a kid at the end of the eighties it was a gift from an aunt and uncle. Tears come to my eyes they're all gone now, only the souvenirs... Nice build
@@OMGscaleworks thanks for your reply and king words. We built the jägermeister version even if i would do the blue green version but impossible to find the color at this time and i always got it! Nice build 👍
My friend, I am subscribing. Simply from the fact that you pay more attention to the engine in this one video than most other modelers on UA-cam have ever done in all their videos combined… most either don’t do an engine at all or do it very generically. But you took this and made it perfectly.
I built one of these many, many years ago. Like in the 80’s. I was a rookie by comparison. Mine was mediocre at best. This one is just…. Wow. Brings back some memories. I don’t have that model anymore. But I do have the box. lol
Loved those 1/12 scale kits since I was a kid. I had a GT40 one somebody else built many moons ago. I only like fully functioning models these days though.
I'm spechless after watching this video. All of the details require efforts, meticulousness and talents. It's great that you had all of them!! Great building as always! Keep it up!
I assembled this kit many years ago. The glue has dried out and parts are coming loose. I wish I’d had your detailed guidance at that time. Your demonstration is encouraging me to start up again but using the correct tools. I never could find the matching Jägermeister paint. Also, I almost got frostbite on my finger from the aerosol spray! I’ve learnt a lot from you. Many thanks.Subscribed
LOL. I had my local shop order the Jagermeister kit for me when it first came out and, many years later after several house moves, had the same problem with the lousy glue just giving up and the model falling apart. It was binned as another house move came along but I've just 2 days ago finally bought another one and the all-important Jagermeister orange paint. Going to use some better cement this time too! LOL. Can anyone tell me the brand of the translucent blue tape used for masking the window surrounds? Looks very useful.
Very clean build, clean paint. Some details i wouldve wanted more but this one is good. Tamiya quality is also nice. Im considering making one once im not too busy
Great build, congrats! The idea to use Micropore to figure the carpeted surfaces is very good, as well as the use of half full plastic bottles to handle the body. The Glasurit 2K Clearcoat seems to be a very good suggestion (I am a fan of the 2K Gravity Clear coat Gloss but I suppose the Glasurit is a cheaper option). Your video will be a source of inspiration while I intend to build this kit soon... Thanks for sharing!
Amazing piece of work when you see the opening shot at the reveal it could be a real Porsche you are looking at its that good and for a model kit of this age looks like the fit was still good. Love the finish its immaculate.
This was my friend's radio control. The first Tamiya radio control as you know. We're still kids back to 1980 or so. Mine was Toyota Celica turbo. Watching from Japan. My hometown is Nagoya, the city of Toyota is very close. Shizuoka prefecture in Japan, we all know famous for plastic models and also, Yamaha both motorcycles and pianos etc. instruments. Part of motorcycles of Honda, and Suzuki plants are in Shizuoka.
Thanks for your following! Greeting from BKK, Thailand. I've traveled to Japan twice and I think I really love your country. Next time I might try to visit Nagoya. I heard that the “ Yakitori “ there is very yummie.
I built the original version of this kit years ago. It was nowhere as detailed as this one, no wiring, bumper gaskets, and no front underhood features. Still made a great build.😊
Absolutely wonderful video! Great! I have the same model kit in my cellar; but version 2.0 with some photo etched parts (e.g. the discs of the breaks). From my point of view: one of the very best model kits ever! So, your video is a great inspiration for me! Thanks a lot to that! And... I love the street version and would never build the ornage (uuuhh.... ugly!) racing version!
Just got a kit like this one 2 days ago, cant wait too start building, you did an awsome job at this one! Great work and detail! Keep up the good work !
Absolutely incredible build. During unboxing, I was quite skeptical that you would be able to complete properly as some of the plastic shell components seemed to have bent out of true a bit due to their age. In addition, when you were initially painting it white, I was at first a little disappointed. BUT, you managed to overcome the challenges the slight deformities presented in masterful fashion and the final result with the racing white paint job was positively stunning.
Really fantastic work and it was cool to see how an older model of this quality came together at the hand of a true artist. I did have a question - when you filled in the lines with Sharpie and sanded away, I assume that was to remove that molding mark and not to do undershade?
Well done, so realisitic right down to the finish of the paint. Would you please tell me what you did to the exhaust system to get that realistic color. You are inspiring me to start building cars but, as always, you set the bar very high.
Sorry about late reply. For the exhaust I paint it with chrome first then paint clear yellow on top to tint them look a bit gold then paint clear smoke in some area for sheding.
Thank you very much for watching. Yes, it would be a great experience to try driving a modern Porsche, but it could be a nightmare to try a retro Porsche. 😂
Love your work. Level of detail is superb. I'm sure I'm showing my ignorance, but it seems you only applied "cement" a few times, and then only a tiny amount on the outside seam once the piece was in place....am I missing something??

This is absolutely flawless work! Can’t wait to get to this level! Quick question, what glue are you using when putting together the painted pieces? Liquid cement or superglue?
Thank you very much for appreciating my work. For glue to use on painted parts, if you are a beginner I recommend using Tamiya Craft Bond because it does not damage the paint layer and can be easily fixed if a mistake is made. However, if you are an experienced modeler, using Super glue will allow you to work faster and the parts will be stronger. Just be sure to choose a type that does not cause fog. 😊
