Beautiful. I've always loved model kits since a young age. Dinosaurs, Airfix planes etc, then the odd imported Japanese SciFi model such as Xabungle and Vifam series from Bandai. Always to a competent level but never beyond that, I just don't have the patience. Would actually love to find someone with the skills seen here who would be happy to sell on their finished model work so I could admire a high quality model without needing the skills lol.
That is a great build, but the nicest surprise was at the end. I actually went for a drive in HNG669L. My cousin married a guy who did road tests for Motor magazine in the UK. Toward the end of 1972, he visited us while driving that actual car, and I went out on a memorable road trip. What a thing for a 10 year old kid!
Now that's what I call true dedication. I have never been a fan of the Lotus Europa, but the amount of detail you put into this is truly awe-inspiring, and I would be proud to have this in my display case. Excellent job !

Very true, I worked for Victoria Speed Concessioners, a Lotus dealer, when VAT replaced purchase tax we had to build all of the kit versions left in stock, nothing fitted without fettling.
@@steverushforth7009 sad…did you read what I said about my mate’s Renault engined one?…the alternator suddenly broke off and we had to have the bracket welded back on at some random garage on the way home. Such a shame. I thought it was such a cool car.
@@derrickgreen9020 Yes, the Renault's were awful, the rear deck was too high, the gear linkage was very sloppy, the Ford was a great car if fact if you drove them side by side they felt like completely different cars, while most people would say the Elan S4 roadster was the best at that time, I prepared the Ford-powered Europa. Here is a weird fact, the Europa has Ford Anglia front bumper.

Excellent work. I made one but configured it for LHD. Hey I live in America! This was my favorite car as a kid back in the mid 70s. My Dad picked up from school after exams once and took me for a ride in a green one. He knew the dealer. Classic! Got my driver's license later that year but Lotus discontinued the Europa before I could drive one.

キーとキーホルダとか細かすぎて、こういうこだわりがとても好きです！
見てたら眠くなってきました（笑）
私の親戚の伯父さんもプラモデルが大好きでした。
デカールの余白部分もカットし、デカール面とクリア層面ギリギリで水研ぎしたり
真鍮パーツなども使って、かなり作り込んでましたね。
そんな伯父さんも90近くになり、目も悪くなり、細かい作業も出来なくなり
認知症の症状も出て来て、いつしか作っている姿を見なくなってしまいました。
こちらの動画を拝見させて頂いて、懐かしい小さい頃の思い出が蘇ってきました。

どうやってこんな光沢が出るのか不思議でした。
“ここまでやるのか！”と、驚きました。
絶対スプレー塗装しただけでは、無理なんです。
キレイな光沢に見えても、よ～く見ると細密な凹凸がありますよね。
さらにそれを何度もコンパウンドし、その工程を繰り返すという事ですね！

50 years ago I was 11 yo. I build my first kit an Aston Martin. That was rhe most beautiful build I ever saw..... till now. Insane.

I'd speculate this model was far better built and finished than any of the real cars were.

こだわりが凄いですね。細かい作業を見てる時こちらの方が緊張して息するの忘れてました。
模型作りは全くの素人なんですが、タイヤが少し沈み込んだり、タイヤの下側が潰れたりすると
重量感が出てリアリティーが増すのかもしれないな～と思ったりしました。
気を悪くされたらすみません。素人の戯言でした。
タイヤの潰れはよく言われるし自分でも考えるのですが、とても面倒なので後回しにしています。いつかやろうと思っています。
やはりロータス・ヨーロッパとフェラーリ・ディーノは特別だなぁ。。
