Me too when I was a kid in the 60's and early 70's. The amount of detail in modern kits vs then is incredible.
in the 80's the quality wasn't like that but just as good as it looked. Ive assembled less 10's that time and only four were the best ones I did with a bit of more effort to made it much better than the previous.

I absolutely loved the whole process! I initially wanted to fast-forward and just watch the last minute, but I was hooked from the very first few shots. Absolutely stunning artwork. And yes! I found myself thinking about the original designers of this beautiful Yamaha motorcycle model too. I'm completely satisfied with 10 minutes of my time well spent! Bravo! ❤

Once I learned about injection molding and how that process works and the skill set in making the molds it took my appreciation of these kits to another level.
The skill to make all those parts inside out and reversed to make the end plastic model just knumbs the sense's!!!
For me it is not the guy who assembles that, but the manufacturer who built perfect parts that can be assembled in that scale

But oddly Yamaha are linger in my life 😁.. 74' LS3 are my late Uncle had.. Soon i collected Yamaha's small n cheap '80 L2G's ' 80 V75 '74 AS3.. FZ 150 Vixion.. Finally in 2023.. Thank God.. An Yamaha liter Superbike 01 R1(5jj).. Yup.. I love Yamaha.. Oo i almost forget.. Even iam not a Winner in a design competitions.. My sketches of the next Yamaha 2strokes are bought to Japan by Yamaha Designers ( my buddy got a prize money USD 100/ year 1996)..
