Crazy your timing came right into line with my car that I told ya about the previous video, glad it all worked out. I'm sure it'll run the number your looking for now, don't change anything.
New Subscriber here. Wondering if you are going to make it to Sick Summer? I'm in and this is my first drag -n-drive event. Cordova is my home track, and I am in the Quad Cities. Hope to meet you if you make it
I’m not sure exactly what my plan for the summer is! I’ve been battling converter stuff since my motor failure at sick week last year. Definitely gonna do some drag and drives in the future just gotta get this rig happy and fast again! Hell ya man I hope to make it to Cordova for one of the races at least this summer. Ill keep the UA-cam updated. It’d awesome to meet ya!
How much hp and boost can a ly6 take bored to ls3. 4340 fordged rods and pistons. 4500 lb truck..? 7000 max rpm is the timing table below a safe place. For the forged pistons and rods. Stock crank cap. Arp stud and cap bolts 1-4000 rpm 15 psi. 20 degrees of trimming 4100- 7000 24 psi - 20 degrees
I dont think it's a coincidence that you said your last set up was 7 degrees off, then ended up adding 6 degrees on the dyno. The power difference is almost exactly what it needs to go from 5.4s back to 5.17s. Might have been a mistake when verifying timing on last set up, and it actually had more timing than you thought.
that's a lot of horsepower, it worries me a little, i'm going for a completely different stagity and i'm just looking to get in the 10s but still.... 1200 HP is a lot more than anything i ever dreamed of.
It all depends. If the timing is verified, sometimes they don’t like timing other engines do. Just gotta find the sweet spot. I pulled 2* out of the back 2
With my 4400 lb car sbe 6.0 gen 4 Can i set 13 degree timing at 30 psi boost 15 degree timing at 25 psi boost 20 degree at 10 psi. Boost 30 degree of timing before boost kick in . Would this be safe?
@OverydeMotorsports Correct if im.wrong. Right!! I need a test day now! Damn north it’s so cold up here!
Awesome, thanks for sharing information on timing.
Good stuff! She’ll scoot now I’m sure! Enjoy following the build
Thanks man!
Awsome video man! I love the SBE stuff and seeing how hard y’all can push them but still keep them alive 🤟🤟

Hey! Would you be willing to go through some datalogs from the dyno pulls?
Impressive timing and numbers for e85
Oh for sure! That one seemed to like timing

It very well could, have. I’ll double check it again just out of curiosity.
Look in to the Black Sheep waste gates!
Will do!
I was gonna say the same thing.. Turbo John got a pair and loves em.. Boosted Lifestyle
I think once you get the converter Straightened out that will be one bad hot rod
I sure hope so!
How much do you think the heads are helping power wise over stock? Love this sbe stuff
This was actually on stock heads. I wanna do a direct comparison this spring on them
I would of swore this was on methanol....that much timing and boost on e85 is crazy without an intercooler
It has a intercooler. It’s a2w behind the bumper
Those are very impressive numbers for a sbe 5.3. Is it on Methanol or e85?
E85 for now hahah
What do you think about ptc 18-0, 9.5 converter?
My old car had that. It was good. Tight enough to be fast and loose enough for it to not dog out
that's a lot of horsepower, it worries me a little, i'm going for a completely different stagity and i'm just looking to get in the 10s but still.... 1200 HP is a lot more than anything i ever dreamed of.
It’s a lot of power! But it can get spendy in a hurry!
Nice job . When you have 19 degrees of advance at 21psi does that mean that’s the max of advance or do you increase that as the rpm’s raise?
It’s lower in peak torque area then up to that in the peak power area
Nice work. Suprized how quick the 102 lights off. What cam did you choose for it? She will be an animal on M1.
Right! I wanna try it! It’s a custom one a little more aggressive then a btr stage 4

What was your timing table. What individual cylinder stuff did you do. Want to do 11xx hp on gen 4 6.0 sbe in a 4400 lb car, street -strip ..
I pulled 1* out of cylinders 7 & 8 and added 2% fuel. I’m at 16* at 32lbs. That is a heavy car tho I would be very careful with timing

sheesh is it really stock bottom end? or it has piston rods ? but its running nice
Nope that was a stock rods crank and piston deal in an iron 5.3
1570 crank on a stock bottom end is bonkers.

That’s a heavy rig! I would lower all those numbers by 3 or 4 until your above 6500rpms and make sure the shift drop isn’t to large. That bends rods
@OverydeMotorsports

At 30 psi
10 degree 6500 and below
