Which was overshooting? Dome pressure or boost pressure? If dome pressure then yeah you can mess with PIDs to correct, but if it’s boost pressure overshooting even though your dome is solid then PID for dome target won’t impact that. Can’t wait to see how it does at the track!
@@MRE_Motorsports thanks for the info. I've been trying to figure out what hp and torque can be expected and safe from a stock 5.3 with upgraded injectors under certain amounts of boost. Looks like 10lb boost is the highest number that is safe and probably will provide just over 500hp
I had trouble spooling a 7875 on a 351. I don’t believe I was seeing positive boost until 5100-5200 rom which is almost worthless for a street car turbo 400. I don’t know if I have a leak somewhere or something else fd up 😔
For grins and giggles check your waste gate to make sure it has the “fire ring” in it it’s a common mistake for a waste gate to be installed with out it will give you an 1/16 to 1/18 inch gap all around the waste gate valve causing epic lag I may or may not have had the same issue with my s475 s10 I always joked it’s a Honda because life didn’t begin till 5250 rpm🤣
how much power can you push out of these 5.3 LS's with a forged rotating assembly I got a motor from AMS racing on the way he said it would take 1000 whp all day and hes even got some guy making 1200 whp

Stock heads,block and rods and pistons. Upgraded cam, valve springs and turbo kit.

Could be tuning related or something small as a leak

They can make quite a bit. I built one for a local racer and it made 1350hp.
