FOOD PANTRY TOUR FOR OUR FAMiLY OF 10 🛒😉

- Here is a tour of my pantry that my husband built for me. I do a lot of canning from our garden and I had nowhere to put all of my canned goods and to have a backstock of food so I don’t have to go to the grocery store every three days. He built the shelter for me with Joshua and surprised me and then I needed a little bit more room because I make too many jams and my husband added more onto my pantry. It’s nice because it’s underneath the porch and like a seller type atmosphere so it stays cool down there and it keeps the food fresh or longer.

The sweetest woman. Anyone would love to have you as a mom ❤.
From one canner to another. Take your rings off your jars, you don’t want to end up with a possible false seal. Also, don’t store you jars one on top of the other without some kind of a barrier. Again, you could end up with a false seal.
Truth. New tech for us long timers
i was thinking the same thing
Actually, even Ball says you can keep the rings on loose. I keep my on for extra protection from being bumped.
I just started following you guys about a few weeks ago and let me tell you I am hooked like obsessed. I have already made your broccoli cheddar soup oh my God my husband and my neighbors are still talking about that soup yeah it was good. Thanks so much for sharing y'all's life with us. PS if you can make some more easy breakfast recipes I would greatly appreciate it thank you
Thank you
@@Justthebells10 🥰 PS I will be making the breakfast pot pie in the morning 😁 I can really appreciate a easy recipe because I'm not that confident in the kitchen but I'm learning I've come a long way 🥰❤️
@@shurondaadkins5944 I just recently started watching them too and I've been the same way! So I totally understand you! One of their easy breakfast dishes I just saw last night that I can't wait to make is called Breakfast Monkey Bread! Oh my goodness it looks so amazing and so simple to make! It's not the dessert either, it's made with real breakfast foods but pulls apart like the dessert. I can't wait to go grocery shopping again so I can get the ingredients for it that I don't have. So if you haven't seen that video you definitely should check it out! My mouth is literally watering now thinking about it!
Life is so much nicer when things are organized 🙂
This is the first video of yours I've watched. I just love your energy! SUBSCRIBED!
Thank you for wonderful, wholesome content that features a blended, adopted family. Love to see your kids joining in to cook, and the fun games you do as a family. Keep up the great content!
I just got into canning this past summer and i see all the things you canned i need to do more. Your food pantry is a dream.
I used to have a stockpile to last about a year but It’s diminished a lot. I want to get back into it. I love how organized you are.
WHOA Now that one hell of a pantry , & you are well stocked & in order love it . Lady Bell you DON'T have to explain NOTHING about your pantry being dirty like you said it's a cellar dust & stuff collect down there like any room in the house . to me you have a in home store & you stay on top of your game by keeping it fully stocked , thanks for the tour enjoyed it take care my friend ❤🍀👍🌹🙏
Keurig can be used in many vehicles to have hot water when the power goes out.
Plug the Keurig in the truck. Put a cup with instant coffee or tea bags under it for easy coffee. You can do hot chocolate or the apple cider powder packets.
You can also buy instant noodle cups and put it under the Keurig to add hot water. Then you cover the instant noodle cups until they get soft. That's lunch when the power goes out.
You can also prepare a Mountain House pouch under the Keurig in the truck for dinner when there is no electricity.
It can be used as a alternative for drinks and meals when there is no electricity by plugging it into a truck with the regular outlet on the dash.
Keep the Keurig as an Emergency preparation item especially if you have a truck with the outlet.
I love watching your videos when I am having a bad day. You sound like my step mom. She was more of a mom to me in so many ways and it just comforts my inner child so much 💜💜💜💜
Wow! Your pantry looks amazing! It’s almost like a mini store lol. Love the organization! I wish we could’ve watched you organize it. You are so motivating!! ❤❤❤
That costs a small fortune
They must be very blessed
Nice pantry storage. You really should remove the rings around all your home canned food. It is not advised to store them on the jars, due to the fact if a seal failed, you would never know it.
I save veggie scraps, peels, etc in a gallon size freezer bag then once it's full I make veggie stock. Cover them in water, season them up, boil away. You can can it, freeze it, use it right away.
Wow just watching a lot of ur u tube . U guys are RICH ALL THE GOOD THINGS GOOD FOOD, NICE VACATIONS WOW DONT NOW HOW U VLOG IT . Just jeoulous not a lot of people could do that.
Congratulations on Your Subscribers, it keeps going up and thats a good thing! I love your channel! Thank you for ALL the things!!
Vintage Hulk lunchbox ...this is a awesome pantry
Your pantry/food storage is a bit bigger than mine, but I can understand your happiness in having it all organized. I know it is your kitchen/pantry, your rules, but you shouldn't store home canned goods with rings on. They can cause a false seal and thus increase risk of botulism. Also, if you are going to stack the jars, they say a board is good. Just thought I would share that. I love! love! your pantry.
White Condensed milk is good in your coffee with no sugar needed and also to cook your oatmeal in
Pantry goals
I love this!! More people should stock up 😊 do you have a white board in the cellar to write on if you need to replace things?
Thank you for sharing. Pantries just make me happy.
Heather do yourself a favor get the sugar bin off of the floor. Sugar attracts ants and any kind of moisture in the concrete floor will make it lumpy. Sooo put sugar high 😊
Your family is great a bunch of workers
Love the video! I cannot wait to have an actual pantry space. ❤from Oklahoma
Loved it all very smart lady stocking up.
I think your celar pantry looks great ! Great thing to be always prepared for shortages and things thats not on self at stores . Or emergency
Love the pantry
I buy Mayo by the gallon its more cost wise that way, we go through a lot of it. Also look into beef base and chicken base and they sell a veggie base as well
Olive salad on a muffaletta sandwich.
With your baking and oatmeal bars, I would invest in an Excalibur dehydrator. I dehydrate, fruits, veggies, mini marshmallows. I love kine
Loved how neat your pantry is. You are a real worker.
My favorite mom and family!
Love your energy🙏💛
I love your channel! So glad I found ya!! Your pantry is beautiful!
Thank you
Can you please make videos about canning?
I am new to canning and want to learn more.
love your videos❤️
Watch the All American Canner videos
Becky from Acre Homestead does a lot of canning, and Jamerrill Stewart has been getting back into canning.
Thanks Ladies
@@MrsGry-EST Also check out Simply Living Alaska.
Oh my gosh I love you- the only drama on your channel is sugar-flour" drama! 😂 That's brilliant.. sending love from England xx
I love watching your videos esp while eating❤️ I hope you would have a nice day
Thanks
Take your sweetened condensed milk, remove the label and pressure cook for 20 mins. Let cool completely before opening. Instant caramel and cheaper too!
Also Thr flour, and dried milk, if you have the space throw it in the freezer.. abs we get 5 gallon buckets of peanut butter
Freezer is great, but if space is low they can also be stored in the long term buckets with the added oxygen absorbers, or Mylar bags and oxygen absorbers.
Your pantry is awesome! And you are such a lovely person .
That is a nice setup.
It’s a beautiful pantry. I enjoy your videos.
I've gotta start cooking from my freezers and fridge so I can have room for my two holiday meals and the food I make for going to families houses. Oh I love your pantry. We try to keep ours full for our kids and family, church food pantry, and anyone we come across needing help.
Just found you. Love your sparkling personality... Your pantry is beautiful ❣️
I’m not a canner so I’m impressed that you are. My only concern is my Aunt who does can says you shouldn’t double stack your jars.
I’m not a canner but I’m now curious why your aunt doesn’t double stack?
@@rebecca5131 The weight of the jar on top can break the seal of the jar on the bottom.
The rings should be removed as well.
Also if the product in the jar goes bad you will never know because it will just reseal. So no stacking and no rings. I just learned that myself.
@@jeanineeley2811 My mother canned for 60 plus years. She never took her rings off!
My hero how awesome lol! I’m so glad to hear you say you gotta let stuff marinate bc I just did pears and they tasted terrible the first couple days after. I’m hopeful they will get better. Very sweet!
I know Heather really wont see this..but i save a ton of money by buying parchment paper at GFS in the baking asile...like 4.00 bucks for a 100 sheets
Awesome pantry!!
Do you have a pantry for washing/cleaning supplies?
How much Tide/Downy do you use a week? Or wash loads? Dawn dishwashing liquid?
wow, i just ran across your family videos, i used to watch dd, ( can't stand her anymore ) your family looks wholesome
I have not canned yet and am wanting to get into it. I would love videos of you doing canning!
Ooooo sustainability 💖 i just love how everything is in bulk and all the canned goodies you do 🌻
Just stumbled on your channel. Thanks for sharing! I started with pastas and pasta sauce for my rotational pantry. We go thru atleast 4 jars on sauce a month and a few pasta boxes. With the way things are going, I am more at ease knowing that we have we extras! It has gotten alittle more expensive!
Have you tried the better than bouillon? It comes in a jar. They have a lot of different flavors. Less salt. It's really good. Takes a tsp to make a cup of brooth.
You can boil the cans of the condensed milk and they turn into the dulce de leche you use for the apples ! My mom would make caramel that way and it would taste the same 😊she would take the paper wrap off and place the cans in water and have them boil for about two hours
Thank you I have some cans i needed to use
wow! nice info.
Your home canned goods look amazing! From one canner to another, try putting a piece of cardboard between the jars you are stacking. We work so hard putting all that deliciousness in jars, you don't want any failed seals from stacking.
Patera from Appalachia Homestead just did a video about cardboard in your pantry. She said don't use cardboard because it attracts mice. I guess mice like to chew cardboard. Never knew that.
I think your cellar is clean.
I'm impressed w/ your Canning.
Would you show more videos on that.
From the preparing of the jar, the making of the food & the cooking & cooling of the product.
I've canned & my jams become so rubbery they're jammed.
All my peas popped.
I got so discouraged.
I want to make raspberry jam again.
I hate failing.
Just a little tip on the dust on jars, don't cut the plastic completely off the box so when done just use the plastic to cover the tops of jars in the box. It saves a lot of dusting time
It looks great. And I love your shorts too.
I bought 120 pounds of pumpkins at a pumpkin patch and canned the pumpkin. Some I did as chunks, some I processed in a puree with pumpkin pie spice and a little brown sugar its a great starter for pumpkin bread, muffins, or pie, I used my stick blender after I boiled the pumpkin.
Wow 🍪🫘🥫🫙🧄 👍🏻 Heather you are soo organised, well done 👍🏻😍 I love the big hearty meals you cook for your family 😋
That enchilada sauce is good.
Take chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese regular chilis some of that sauce, roll in tortillas, cover with rest of sauce and cheese and bake.
Or stuff in burritos and fry for chimichangas
Really good
There are some can racks that will store sideways and automatically force rotation; with as much as you have to stock might try?
Gives you at a glance inventory so you know what you have also.
Modern Homestead Alaska uses them, not sure of price, but it makes deciding what to buy really easy
Traverse City ❤️ as a little kid we used to go for the ice sculpture festival! I so want to go back soon and take my family to Northport where I also lived and have ALOT of family history!
Thanks for the tour!! It's great.
Hey, got 2 canners as well! Glad not to be the only one. And about 30# of lids, replacement rubber parts, weights, gauges(on order). Just wish my stove would work 2 canners at same time, 😕.
And yes, organizing does help not to lose stuff. We ❤️ cube storage in this 🏡.
If you haven’t done this already you should go on Amazon and buy some of those LED strip lights for under the cabinets. That way you can see what’s in the back of the shelves better since you don’t have much overhead lighting in there.
Block the people who are not nice. Everything looks great!!
Dulce de Leche from sweetened condensed milk
You can instapot (pressure cooker) it, slow cooker or just stove top. Pull the labels off and
1.) instapot use the trivit, cover cans with water to the fill line. Set to high and let cook 35 minutes when pressure reached. Regular pressure cookers - use your lighter weight bell. Depending on the size of your pot make sure they aren't touching - Basic canning rules
2.) put cans in crock pot and fill with water to the maximum fill line. Make sure you have an inch of water over the top of the cans. Cook on high for 8 hours.
3.) cover cans with at least 1" water (best if it's 2") cover pot, bring to a boil and then turn down to medium for 3-3.5 hours. Do check water levels. Where I live I have to add water when humidity drops below 20ish.
Buy a case at Sam's and it'll cost about $2 a can instead of $4.
You are lucky to have a basement. The only bad thing about your basement is you need to mouse proof the food. You have a nice pantry. Well done!
Beautiful Pantry Mom Bell! You are so inspirational❤I like how you know everything you have and you know exactly what you will use. Rather than just have random sale items that you won't really use. Also from this and other videos I got my wellness to buy list: 1) Liquid Aminos 2) Super Seed blend 3) Tart cherry juice. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!
Beautiful!
Very organized all good things.
You are doing such a great job. You could easily be canning all your beans too!
Where did you find your bins? Love them with the handle. Blessings to you and your family.
I have the same problem with brownies. I don't know why either.❤😊
You are so sweet. Love your family.
You energy is amazing and I love this pantry set up!
Brownies! My grandmother could never cook brownies either! She over cooked them because she couldn't get past pulling it out of the oven if the toothpick she checked with was still slightly wet.
your pantry is set up like my parents...but have one outlet for the 5 shelf freezer. good job!!
you should try making cookies with cane sugar instead of regular sugar they are better that way and cane sugar is a little bit better for you than regular
I love making jams and jellies. I can 32 different kinds. I also can fruits, veggies and meats. If you make tamales you can can them as well and they are wonderful
19:56 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Beautiful pantry your husband was a wonderful man to help out like that and build it. You are very fortunate.👍
Can't wait to see when you really stock up on supplies for your pantry. My investment is nice when I don't pay high price like I bought three flats of cranberries hole and not . I payed 50 cent's a can now it's on sale for $1.50 wow I paid 50 cent's a box of stuffing now it's $1.99 or $2.50 a box I can't believe the amount of food cost. I've been on my store at home for 10 years it's been a chore and even being my kids are out of the home there home everyday and with there kid's. It's mom's food they say .
I would give ANYTHING to get my hands on some of your homemade canned goods 😫😭 I wish I knew how to do it! My grandma made the best jelly’s!!! It all looks/sounds amazing!!!
Now I know why there was a picture of Michigan on the wall at your daughters house. I live in Michigan. My grandmother used to sell black cherries from traverse city in her ftont yard in wolverine back in the 60's
I love when you say my Noah or my Dave, feeling all the love there 💕
Very nice!! I love organization !
I wish I had a basement like that to have the food storage in 1 place. I have taken over 3 closets 1 bedroom and under 1 bed soo far with mine as I just have a crawl space I was always wondering if you canned as I see your grocery hauls
Where did you find your brown sugar/rice/sugar bins? I love that they have handles and are deep.
I'd like to know too! Love them!
They have an entire line available at Walmart. I have the half size bins that are great for storing home made bread. These bins are durable!
Very impressive! I wanted to share about a couple of other channels that I follow that might be helpful to you. One is called our tribe of many. They are a family of 13 in Lincoln nebraska. The mom, sarah, shops mainly once a month and usually shops primarily at Sam's Club and sometimes Aldi and Walmart. She is very conscientious about eating clean ingredients in the food that she buys so I know that you seem to follow that philosophy as well so you might want to check out her channel. She also shops at a company called azure standard to get a lot of grains and honey and cheeses. You may want to check them out. I believe they deliver monthly and you have to go to the central location at the time that they have the food there in order to pick up your items from your order. That may not work out for you with your schedule or they may not deliver to your area but wanted to pass it on to you. I'm glad you discovered Sam's Club and I hope you're able to find one close to you to be able to shop at. I think it would really save your family a lot of money and would also allow you to shop less frequently which I find even though it is only myself in my house, if I shop less frequently I spend less on average per week overall. The other channel that I thought you might like is called see Mindy mom. She has some recipes on her channel for homemade mixes like taco seasoning and ranch seasoning. I know you use a lot of those types of items for some of your recipes so I thought you might want to check out her channel and get those recipes and perhaps consider making your own rather than buying some of them. The nice part about making your own as you are aware is you can customize the recipe and if you're making it yourself it may have less preservatives, less salt, etc. Plus if you have someone with a particular food allergy or a preference for or against a particular spice, you can include her excluded if you're making it yourself. Just a couple of suggestions. I realize you're very busy and may not have time to take a look but I know you're on a journey to increase the frequency between your grocery shopping trips so I thought you might want to check out those two channels to see if they might be able to provide you with some tips. I know on our tribe of many she has her menu planned out by having each night designated for a particular type of protein. I know you do that where you have Mexican on Tuesdays so maybe you could check out her menu as well. She does the same thing you do in terms of having simple breakfast and lunches but then focuses on the family dinner in the evening that she really plans around a lot. I'm really enjoying your channel and just thought I would pass on what I had seen. I hope you guys have a wonderful day!
Another channel that has a lot of homemade spice mixtures is Noreen’s Kitchen. It was her channel that introduced me to UA-cam. I was searching for a white chocolate hot cocoa mix & her channel was the first one to come up. After that I became abdicated to UA-cam. I’ve got so many Pinterest boards with lots & lots of recipes I want to try. When my kids were little I would have loved to have a pantry, but we managed. If I had a big pantry, I would definitely use yours as an example of organizing it. Great job!😊
Beautiful cellar 👍🏽 That’s such a great variety and stock of “all the things!” I agree with the honey!
Okay I’m jealous wish I grew up in your household, food looks yummy
Do you use oxygen absorbers in your dry good’s containers?
Flour especially will go bad pretty quickly if not stored properly. It can last for 10 years or more if done properly.
I always put my rice and flour in the freezer for several days, then take out for 4-5 days, then re- freeze for several days to make sure any larvae that may hatch have been killed.
Then I put in Mylar bags w/ absorbers, or a food grade airtight container, again with oxygen absorbers.
I love mount olive pickles. I will get a nother brand if there isn't my favorite is not available. I love baking. I am going g to try to cook from scratch more. I will have to try the tart cherry juice. My arthritis can get pretty bad at times. My mom would do her pie filling and freeze them and then takr out to thaw and then throw in a pile crust. I'm not big on cereal. If I eat cereal it's cheerios and raising bran
I love those containers, could you please share the name and where you purchase it? thanks!!
Available at Walmart.
It's my first time on your vlog! Love it!
Your pantry = My Goals! ♥️
I'd love to pick your brain regarding your recipes for the Grey Poupon and your preserve recipes.
Great video!
Hershey has baking chips in Christmas trees and Stocking shapes and I love to use green Chiles in my breakfast burrito. So good
I’ve been doing a small pantry for years for my kids when they run out for their Families. Even while on Social Security and getting Food Stamps. I Cook Soups A Lot. Because of Dental Issues😂❤
you have to try a green chili and pepperjack grilled cheese! so amazing!
Great organization. You won’t run out of anything anytime soon
Put bay leaves in flour....Saves you from critters in flour.
