- This is the second video in the "Why You're Not Sub-X with Roux" series. If you want this series to continue, please watch, like, comment, and share this video. Also, I encourage you to give me feedback on what parts of this video were helpful and what you would like to see more of for next time. The rest of the series will be found here: bit.ly/2anzP3E
The solve that I critiqued was given to me by Thibaud Ou.
The cubes used in this video can all be purchased from SpeedCubeShop.com. - Розваги
Your videos are awesome, Kian. Keep up the good work.
Wow thank you so much!
1:07 Obviously my algs are the best.
Alan J Obviously. (The document is the best because its the most up to date and has lots of algs to choose from. The algs i personally use in my solves can still be improved, I should probably learn from myself haha)
0:46 LOL, roux master race
yeee lets go boys
Pedro Sousa q
This series has been very helpful so far, thanks! :D
you're welcome!
Awesome work! Thank you !
Very thorough and well made!
thank you!
kian gets a sub7 OH solve and he didnt react. What a professional cuber
I had a mini-reaction. If you pay attention near the end of the video, I kind if did a fist-pump with my left hand (it's mostly out of frame but you can hear the motion)
Really great video.
NiiFu thank you!
16:00 That Voice Crack XD
were letting it slide coz he’s a G
Amazing video.
thanks!
good quality video
I started learning full cmll at 22s and now I’m at 15-16 but i didn’t finish learning. Any tips ?
very useful for beginner like me,,,thanks
You're welcome!
really cool
great video (:
Thanks! :)
When you talk about movecount are you counting M as one move
Yes
13:35 ik this vid is older but does nobody notice the voice crack he had
For LSE, how about
U2 M U' M' U2 M2 U M U2 M U'
It's like EOLR but UFUB, so... EOFB?
I'm transitioning from CFOP (was sub 14) to Roux (currently a few weeks in and sub 20 without full CMLL). Your vids help a lot Kian!
Your solution in the video was 14 STM and this one is 11. Personally, I think the cost of those 3 moves is recognition - but for me that's not a problem since I've been doing UFUB since I started Roux.
Yep, looks like you're doing well! If you're able to quickly recognize both UFUB and ULUR positions and pick which to do on a solve-by-solve basis based on efficiency then that's awesome!
Hi guys !! Thank you to Kian for making the video I'm the nub in this vid, I know I'm bad im the Chris Olson of roux lol
So I went to try slow solving again, I aimed for the 27-30s time for slow solves and I turn too fast but lack pauses. First time was 22, second was 16. What does this mean? Had I been turning faster on the 16s solve i think I would've gotten 11s or so. BTW, I love your videos, and they've helped me improve the most by far
But that's the thing, if you didn't pause like in slow solves you'd be way faster.
@@bguy510 yeah, that's the point of slow solves. But I can't turn faster either
even though i dont use roux, i found this video to be very epic
thanks!
Hi, I have been cubing for a month and a bit now and average 27 seconds using CFOP and 45 using roux (I have only been using roux for a week). Do you think I should go with roux as I am improving rapidly and I enjoy the method, however I feel I am almost wasting time as I know pll and think if I really tried hard with CFOP could get sub 20. How long do you think It will take me to average 30 using roux? I have heard roux solves get fast very quickly. I feel as though CFOP is the well worn somewhat boring path, however Roux has lot's of potential and feels as though you are always learning. I am only commenting on this video as it is more recent and I feel I will have a better chance of you responding to my comment.
Hello! I actually respond to most comments on all my videos. If you prefer roux, think it is faster, and find it more fun, then you should switch. If you think CFOP is better and you enjoy it more, then switching to roux will be impossible for you. I think it will only take you a few weeks to get down to 30 seconds with roux.
Wow, That was a speedy respond. I definitely
enjoy Roux more and feel I could get fast if I really pushed it (School Holidays lol). I think I have settled on roux and hopefully one day I might be fast. Thanks for the swift response and keep making high quality informative videos.
I get notifications, so I'm pretty quick. If that's what you think, then Roux it is. Good luck! Thank you! I will conitinue!
Can i use my coll algorithms for cmll?
Yes but eventually you're gonna want to learn the proper CMLLs, since they are much much faster.
@@Kian_Mansour okay thanks
Do you think I should learn 1look cmll to reach sub 15???
You must learn 1 look cmll
@@novaren7166 i already did👍
@@pramilaahirwar2929 Great job!
This is pure content no lies no smut just pure content AND WE GIVE BACK... NO DISLIKES 😉
I am 10 months after your count .. still np dislikes yay
What does AUF mean?
Adjust Upper Face
How can you improve lse and lse tps? I've seen my solves and its my weakest step
Damian :v Better lookahead definitely helps. Learning EOLR improves your ULUR tracking, and then all you need is better 4C prediction/recognition. For TPS just clean up your fingertricks and make sure you are doing the moves the way that I/Kavin/Alex teach them
waiting for sub 10 video ^_^
sub 10 and sub 8 videos will be fun
Are you counting m slices as 2 moves or 1
1
Kian Mansour ok
I’am currently a cfop solver and I’am starting to hate it so I’am switching. Not sure wether to use roux or ZZ-ct though
@@kennycrage7503 Definitely Roux. ZZ-CT is very overrated and not nearly as good as roux.
Kian Mansour but what physically make roux better because with roux you can’t really get any skips and in ZZ-ct there are high chances
I think Cfop is better for singles and meh for average
And Roux is better for average is meh for singles
I agree 100%
So you're sub 10 ?
+BL Production sub 8
PenguinsDontFly wow ! i have a friend that averages 9 and his pb single is 8 ...LOL ( on roux )
+BL Production oh thats very weird. My pb is 4.73 and i average mid 7, and I know CFOP solvers my speed who have low 4 and even sub 4 pbs.
I'm not sub 15 cuz my CMLL isn't completely one-look yet, and i take about 4 seconds to perform a single alg :/
You should probably finish learning full CMLL and then make sure your algs are good. After that, just drill your algs to speed up execution.
PenguinsDontFly That's the plan!
Pro
Wasting moves: Haha! In my PB 9.68 I had U2 U' and U U' in f2l (cfop)
I think CFOPpers waste more moves and rotations, especially between F2L pairs.
+PenguinsDontFly Maybe, but usually I don't waste mowes, but it was really lucky solve: 3 move x cross or 8 move double x croxx, also I saw 3d pair in inspection and 4th pair was easy, then easy oll and easy pll. About wasting rotations, in this solve I did 2 or 3 rotations, which is really good for cfop. But now I'm learning zz. Half year ago I was doing the same and learning full zbll. After sub10 I decide to come back to zz and zbll, but after some thinking I decide to learn zz-ct, now I can't waste my rotations. On zz I average around 21-20 seconds but it's without 15 seconds inspections, because with it I get around 1 DNS every 3 solves, EO Line is HARD to do in 15 sec!
+Neon Solves wow thats cool! Good luck with ZZ-CT!
+PenguinsDontFly Thanks. I wanted to learn it for some time but only for OH, because almost all algs in second step is RU or RUL or RUD and all algs in first step can be only RU. But after Cyotheking's video from Nationals where inventor (forget the name) was talking about advantages of zz ct over zbll and I decided to gave up my zbll progress, and switch to zz ct with 2H. It's really potential method!
Use CFOP!!
we obviously care about this comment
Cfop is great because it is soo researched and is used by a lot of famous cubers. Whereas roux is not soo as it is a recent method.
So U Can Never Tell Which Method Is Better And Which To Use
Roux has more fun and creativity,I guess
Like CFOP,everyone just solves the same way
