    For LSE, how about
    U2 M U' M' U2 M2 U M U2 M U'
    It's like EOLR but UFUB, so... EOFB?
    I'm transitioning from CFOP (was sub 14) to Roux (currently a few weeks in and sub 20 without full CMLL). Your vids help a lot Kian!

      Your solution in the video was 14 STM and this one is 11. Personally, I think the cost of those 3 moves is recognition - but for me that's not a problem since I've been doing UFUB since I started Roux.

    • @Kian_Mansour
      @Kian_Mansour  2 роки тому +1

      Yep, looks like you're doing well! If you're able to quickly recognize both UFUB and ULUR positions and pick which to do on a solve-by-solve basis based on efficiency then that's awesome!

    So I went to try slow solving again, I aimed for the 27-30s time for slow solves and I turn too fast but lack pauses. First time was 22, second was 16. What does this mean? Had I been turning faster on the 16s solve i think I would've gotten 11s or so. BTW, I love your videos, and they've helped me improve the most by far

    • @bguy510

    Hi, I have been cubing for a month and a bit now and average 27 seconds using CFOP and 45 using roux (I have only been using roux for a week). Do you think I should go with roux as I am improving rapidly and I enjoy the method, however I feel I am almost wasting time as I know pll and think if I really tried hard with CFOP could get sub 20. How long do you think It will take me to average 30 using roux? I have heard roux solves get fast very quickly. I feel as though CFOP is the well worn somewhat boring path, however Roux has lot's of potential and feels as though you are always learning. I am only commenting on this video as it is more recent and I feel I will have a better chance of you responding to my comment.

    • @Kian_Mansour
      @Kian_Mansour  8 років тому

      Hello! I actually respond to most comments on all my videos. If you prefer roux, think it is faster, and find it more fun, then you should switch. If you think CFOP is better and you enjoy it more, then switching to roux will be impossible for you. I think it will only take you a few weeks to get down to 30 seconds with roux.

    • @something7591
      @something7591 8 років тому

      Wow, That was a speedy respond. I definitely
      enjoy Roux more and feel I could get fast if I really pushed it (School Holidays lol). I think I have settled on roux and hopefully one day I might be fast. Thanks for the swift response and keep making high quality informative videos.

    • @Kian_Mansour
      @Kian_Mansour  7 років тому

      Damian :v Better lookahead definitely helps. Learning EOLR improves your ULUR tracking, and then all you need is better 4C prediction/recognition. For TPS just clean up your fingertricks and make sure you are doing the moves the way that I/Kavin/Alex teach them

    Wasting moves: Haha! In my PB 9.68 I had U2 U' and U U' in f2l (cfop)

    • @Kian_Mansour
      @Kian_Mansour  8 років тому

      I think CFOPpers waste more moves and rotations, especially between F2L pairs.

    • @igortarasow
      @igortarasow 8 років тому

      +PenguinsDontFly Maybe, but usually I don't waste mowes, but it was really lucky solve: 3 move x cross or 8 move double x croxx, also I saw 3d pair in inspection and 4th pair was easy, then easy oll and easy pll. About wasting rotations, in this solve I did 2 or 3 rotations, which is really good for cfop. But now I'm learning zz. Half year ago I was doing the same and learning full zbll. After sub10 I decide to come back to zz and zbll, but after some thinking I decide to learn zz-ct, now I can't waste my rotations. On zz I average around 21-20 seconds but it's without 15 seconds inspections, because with it I get around 1 DNS every 3 solves, EO Line is HARD to do in 15 sec!

    • @igortarasow
      @igortarasow 8 років тому

      +PenguinsDontFly Thanks. I wanted to learn it for some time but only for OH, because almost all algs in second step is RU or RUL or RUD and all algs in first step can be only RU. But after Cyotheking's video from Nationals where inventor (forget the name) was talking about advantages of zz ct over zbll and I decided to gave up my zbll progress, and switch to zz ct with 2H. It's really potential method!
