I was just learning ROUX and then stop today because I was hopeless because of my times but this video made me think again Thanks ❤️ ...
Don't give up. It takes some time to get used to Roux. Believe me, it is a really fun method as soon as you get the hang of it!!^^
I use roux method. Definitely watch a lot of Kian Mansour vids too. Shawn and Kian are the ones that have helped me the most by far. My fav speedcubereview vid is how to turn slowly AND solve fast. And my fav of Kian’s is his inspection vid.
dude u sound like the nicest person ever lmao
nice! look forward to following your progress!
The collection of
Cubes is insane just like the amount of subscribers! Keep growing!
Also as a note for LSE. You don't have to use the same edges from the blocks you made. It can be any 2 opposite edges. So here you used red/orange. You can use any two edges for your inserts during arrow. Whichever one is already on bottom just put it's opposite down, and then insert them where they go. It requires an extra U move at the end but it's still faster than and more efficient than using both block edges. Likewise, if you already have a white on the bottom, just insert the other white edge during arrow. And your most likely ending up with a U-Perm can also be H or Z, but when you control where everything goes, it is unlikely. You only use the block edges if one of them is already in the bottom and oriented. And if the other block edge can be inserted during arrow.
At first I thought roux was harder than Cfop and when I try to do f2l it was like struggling and I learned about first block and second block for beginners and I found out roux was actually easier than cfop and intuitive!
Interesting. I learned roux a while back but kinda gave up on improving but this helped a lot. Thanks for the awesome video as always!
Such a good video! I agree with you in the emphasis of efficiency over speed for roux. Actually, that’s why roux is more fun to me than cfop. I look forward to seeing you progress. I really think you’ll match or get better times with roux than cfop eventually.
I’ve been stuck at sub 25 for so long with Roux. I look forward to your tutorial
it has been like 11 days of my month of roux and i am very close to my CFOP times and i am definitely enjoying my time with it
WOW. This is really helpful. I just learned cfop And planning to learn roux.
I think I have a relatively stiff cube so I'd add: clean and lube your cube well! I did that yesterday and after so long of frustrating 60s-70s solves, suddenly I got it down to the 30s. Those M slices have double the surface area for friction, so just being able to do those faster helped immensely. Now I'm at the problem of my brain keeping up because it was used to slow solves :P
I see the areas I can improve on so I'll be getting faster times, but I don't even know CMLL yet, I just spam other algs from other methods.
Roux is going to be my fastest method for sure.
You're amazing.
Can you please do a full tutorial on Roux , explaining colour neutreulity.
I have a Roux tutorial here ua-cam.com/video/flx94vSY0I4/v-deo.html.
For Roux CN do yellow or white on bottom and any color in front
you should start implementing the use of misoriented centres(MC) to make your LSE more efficient.
For example at 7:55, M U M U M' U M U2 M' solves MC EOLR . The way it works is that you do an M move to orient & place one of the LR edges on the bottom, then orient edges from a different axis. Since a non-U/D centre is on top, the edges should have the white/yellow facing the side(except the other LR edge, since ULUR should be correctly inserted to reduce the unsolved pieces to the M-slice). After doing so, you will get to 4c with the M slice edges being one slice move off from normal. From there, you can just orient the centres and cancel into your normal 4c solutions.
TL;DR instead of reading this unorganised garbage, watch Kavin Tangtartharakul's video titled '6-flip repetoire'
That makes sense. I have done this sometimes but only when super obvious.
I’m thinking about learning roux for OH, maybe practice 2 handed sometimes, because it’s hard for me to do cfop OH
That one 3x3 on the left 😂😂😂
Uploaded just one hour after I decided to practice Roux more. Nice
Man you look much younger now
I am a returning subscriber after 4 months
#NewShaun 😊😂😄😀😁😃

That's nice!
(By the way, my nephew has changed the name to Kim Jong Un I am not him)😅
When will the giveaway winner announced?
I practiced roux for two weeks, and as a joke, tried out petrus. Roux practice had increased my blockbuilding speed and the more I practiced roux, petrus became faster. Petrus was always 5-7 seconds faster, so I started using that
Lol I was using F2L for block building too before watching this video. This definitely helped as you suggested. Thanks. I'll practice from the links you've given. 👍
👍👍👍
Just now I am watching your video only
Interesting🤭🤗
Eaalrryy gang
Belt method ftw
Does full cn for roux worth it?
Most top solvers are just x2/y CN meaning yellow or white on top and then any color in front that is left.
Thumbnail: Namaste! Lol
Roux is interesting but I'm probably never going to use it.
Lol I'm your classic CFOP user
I just started roux from few weeks ago
Very late comment but how many moves do you average with roux? I average low 20s
Averaging low 20s is not possible. The world record setters in Roux average in the mid-40s. I average around 50 which is in the top tier for move count with Roux.
@Slapthesushi ah, I don't keep average times anymore however it's fairly close to what I do with CFOP
I have never learned CFOP or layer by layer the I started with roux, that makes learning it more easy
Sir please put video on very very advanced full f2l cases every angle every case full A to z f2l
If you give algs for cases often it will not be "advanced". There would need to be a couple hundred algs which is not a good way of learning F2L.
@@SpeedCubeReview please sir I am was very worst in f2l I will take about 15 sec for f2l
It sounds like you don't quite understand that "algs" or cases will not be more efficient. Watch ua-cam.com/video/X0nneDFsJDk/v-deo.html
I tried a month of roux and for about 2 weeks I was improving a lot but when I got to low 20s (I average 16) and then I stopped improving
im sub 20 with cfop and just trying roux within a week
and i guess its not bad, im avg about 35 with roux
Wow
RouxRoux
Nice thumbnail lmao
You should do Rubik’s cube ASMR
i prefer coll because it's easier to lookahead
I used to do this and still do COLL for EO skips however the algs for CMLL are often much better and the next step is learning what edges flips for certain CMLLs.
Roux has
51 like
Second
I make videos..
Sorry
Hi
You’re still here?
Ok, it is over
Yeah,the rouxvolution is here.
Lol
yes
