    Beautiful piece! 38mm was the right call for your wrist. I’m also happy to hear to are wearing it daily. It’s sad when people don’t wear their watches because they want to keep them perfect. Screw that....life is short. Wear it, use it, enjoy it!

    Gorgeous, love this watch. I never considered the white dial AT, but it really has a classic mid-century look to it. I too have a bracelet with polished center links, and mine are scratched to hell. It’s inevitable. I don’t mind it anymore, it adds character.

      I love the way the polished centerlinks look with scratches. I don't know why, but it just looks really cool to me lol. I often switch my AT over to a oem black rubber strap bc the black and white contrast is just beautiful! I'd definitely recommend checking out the white AT in person, video does not do it justice

    Great piece man. I just ordered the same one with the black dial. As far as divers go, I can’t recommenced the Oris Aquis enough. I have the green dial version and it’s unbelievable looking.

    I recently went back in the boutique and traded my SMP 300M for this exact piece. I have roughly the same wrist circumference as you and the 42MM beast of a diver just little too heavy and bulky for daily usage. No regrets and your piece looks like held up well and certainly well-worn/loved.

    Bought a 38 mm black dial last weekend.
    A beautiful piece, at night, the indices and hands catch all kinds of light reflection slightly as you move your wrist a bit and it is a beautiful thing to see.
    Perfect size. Goes with everything

    First, really nice and honest video, and thank you for making it. I am happy to hear that you are happy with your Omega AT. That white dial makes the watch really special, and having a clean look. In any case, it proved to be robust for every day use and some beating, which is most important. As for losing 1 s/d, since I still plan to add Omega AT in my collection, I asked at Omega boutique here in Munich what to do if watch is losing time on average. The answer was this is covered by warranty. Nevertheless, the free-sprung balance is difficult to regulate and involves actual servicing, thus watchmaker cannot know the result before assembling back the whole movement, so it could happen you need several weeks or month to get you watch back from this service. Therefore, the result might be that your watch starts gaining time even up to 4s/d, and it will be inside of the official specs of up to +5 s/d, and you could not make your claim anymore. This process is based on luck, and it is upon one's decision is it worth to be without a watch for longer period of time, and risk a bit lesser accuracy, but on positive daily average rates.
    As for comparison, watches like JLC and Zenith El Primero based watches are also in practice as accurate as Omega Master Chronometers, but are much easier to regulate and this can be done free of cost as well in case the rate runs negative on average.

    • @nshdwatches9352
      @nshdwatches9352  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you! I'm very glad you enjoyed the video. I do plan on taking my watch in for servicing eventually, but for now I'm okay with the way it performs. I'll definitely take it before my warranty expires, but I am not looking forward to going so long without my watch haha 😅

      @@nshdwatches9352 What came to my mind is to ask you which is the resting position of your watch when you do not wear it? Is it dial up or some vertical sideways position? Changing the usual resting position may help that your watch gains or not lose seconds per day. You need simply to find a watchmaker to measure the positional rates on the timegrapher and tell you if there is a position where your watch gains time (e. g. It could be even dial down). This might be a simple fix for your small problem.
      On a side note, usually dial up position is regulated to be dead + 0 s/d, under the condition that the other major positions are on positive rate side.

    • @nshdwatches9352
      @nshdwatches9352  4 роки тому

      So I actually only really take off my watch when I shower. I keep it on at all times besides that. I even sleep with it, for reasons to do with terrible eyesight and waking up randomly lol. I haven't been keeping track of the time on it recently, I just adjust it every month or so. I plan on sending it in for service next year

    • @Watcher_in_the_Dark_studio
      @Watcher_in_the_Dark_studio 4 роки тому

      @@nshdwatches9352 Thanks for clarifying. Now I understand why in your case it happens that your Seamaster is running slightly slow. It sounds funny, but most likely the watch gets into the odd vertical position while you sleep which naturally makes the rate offset from designed average rate, and the watch was factory regulated to be dormant in dial-up position for ca. 8 hours per day while the owner is sleeping. Actually, due to this circumstance, I believe your Seamaster is running extraordinary accurately. Sure, it can be regulated to be on average faster for 1 s/d which would solve your problem or try leaving the watch dial up over the night and see what happens with the daily rate.
      What I would recommend at the moment watch goes to service is not to say you are sleeping with your watch on the wrist, they might try to confront you that the watch was not design for that (I know it sounds funny). Rather say that you wear it almost all day and you have some average daily activities.

    That dent is part of your watch’s history, its story. Things happen. That’s life.
    It might be fun to get a timegrapher to see how it’s running from time to time.
    I do that with my everyday watch every now and then. It’s an idea.

    • @nshdwatches9352
      @nshdwatches9352  4 роки тому

      NSHD Watches,
      You might want to check on the certification of Omega watches. I’ve heard that, by their certification, they are not supposed to lose time, but always run slightly fast. You may be entitled to service under warranty to get it running just right. They need to live up to their hype, if what I’ve heard is true.

I’m looking at a ladies Aqua Terra 34 mm and I’m torn between three dial colors: navy with Sedna rise gold hands and markers; white with Sedna rose gold hands and markers; and a white dial with white gold hands and markers like yours. It’s not like a lume monster or anything, but I’ve never had any issues viewing it at night. The only thing is you’ll have to get used to finding the minute hand since it kinda blends in when it’s only lume visible.
      I have very poor eyesight, so I typically wear a watch to bed in case I wake up and need to know the time. The watch is there and the lume is good enough for me to always be able to have a quick glance and know if I can go back to sleep or not! Haha

    Will you consider polishing it during service?

      Probably not. Depends on how bad it gets. I quite like the look of a worn in watch though :)

      @@nshdwatches9352 i have one 41mm in black dial too. I was thinking of polishing when servicing but then few weeks later, it will be scratched again and with a thinner case

    That mid polished link is a deal breaker for me. They just don’t go well with the brushed ones. Without those I would get it in a heart beat

      I didn't like them at first, but it's really grown on me. I like the way the polished links pick up scratches, it just looks really cool to me lol

    Having owned one, I hate to say it's obviously very very silver. Anyone who have true white dial would know. (I own smp 300m white dial as well) . Silver dial and white dial have very very different nuance. Silver dial is more classic and gentlemanly, white dial is more pop and young and fun. They are very different

      I would disagree that it is very very silver. I agree with your take on silver vs white dial.
      It is technically called a silver dial on omega’s website, but I would say a true silver dial is the Aqua Terra with the blued indices. I think older models without the “teak” pattern are very silver, but not this one. Only in certain light does it actually look silver; in most other light it looks white and I hadn’t had anyone disagree about that. It’s not a solid white as you would find on actual white dial watches, but it’s definitely more white than silver imo

    if it's losing time it could be because you dropped it

      Oh definitely. I never bothered checking it after it fell, but it was still losing time even before that
