The Tamron 50-400mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD (Model A067) is the unprecedented, next-level ultra-telephoto zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. Featuring a stunning 8x zoom ratio, it provides a wide range of focal lengths that covers the standard 50mm and stretches all the way to 400mm ultra-telephoto to offer an unmatched level of versatility. With of its wide 50mm starting focal length, full-body shots of subjects like wildlife can be captured together with the surrounding background. The wider end of this unique mirrorless zoom lens is particularly useful for side-line sports, animals and other subjects that move closer as you are shooting, allowing you to continue photographing without the need to change lenses. Despite its high resolving power throughout the entire 8X zoom range and extraordinary reach, the 50-400mm is incredibly compact with a length of just 7.2" and a light weight of 40.7 oz. Hi, may I know the model of the star tracker 2:27 that appeared in this video? I am thinking of using this lens for astrophotography, (moon, nebula, comment). Thanks for the info.
I am not 100% sure, but I think that is a Vixen SXP2 equatorial mount. This or other relatively small equatorial mount should be capable of handling this lens, depending on your use case and needed exposure time. It is easier at the wide end, and might need autoguiding on the long end for long subexposures. Best regards!
