I had to restart FFT 3 separate times cuz I got stuck at certain parts of the game, but was so glad when I finally finished it. Seeing the raid definitely brought pleasant (and not so pleasant) memories.

No. Even if they had the lines back then it would have been awful. Early PS1 voice acting was terrible as it wasn't a respected medium at the time and they often just grabbed randos from off the street. Remember Megaman 8 or Castlevania SOTN's voice acting?

@dbappio the tribal quests keep getting better from there. The namazu are my favorite but you get dwarves, fae, and quikirn in shb and oliphants, robots (!!!), and lopporit in ew. All of them have great rewards too. 😃
@@gateauxq4604 While I've yet to start the loporrit's one so far, I've got to agree that nothing has matched the namazu so far. It was the only tribal quest where I was distraught that I had to take them at the pace set by the daily limit.
I'm a long time fan of Tactics and excited for the news of a remake/remaster, and have played 14RR but haven't played since the 2nd or 3rd content expansions. I really appreciate the attention to detail in this fight, working in the actual visual effects. Someday I want to get back into this game, and when I do I'm going to love the hell out of this. Are the holy sword lines spoken in game or are these just AI readings of them for dramatic effect for your video?
As the biggest Tactics fan I know, I'll just emphasize that this raid series absolutely did justice to it. I cried a little the first time I ran the final raid. It's real damn good.

This has people speculating that they may be working on a full remake instead, judging from some things that were said about some of the Tactics talents being busy on other projects in relation to them being missing on other known Square projects. So hope isn't completely lost there, I think.

This is an Alternate Timeline situation where Ramza and friends failed to beat Ultima and basically use the Zodiac Stones to transform into Holy Jailors to contain the greater evil until worthy heroes (The FF14 players) prove their might and succeed where they failed.
@Joseko_T It's pretty good. Admittedly a slow boil though as the base games story is alright, but it really picks up immediately after. You can play for free to try it out, and your character can change his class freely so you can enjoy all of the content on 1 character. It's a very story focused MMORPG and even the classes have their own storylines.

Maybe I'll have to watch some lore vids on alternate Ivalice.

Agrias Oaks, the GOT's Brienne of Final Fantasy. Old school FF Tactics DEFINITELY needs either a remaster or a MORE ACCURATE REMAKE......none of this multiverse and different timeline nonsense that convolutes the story. Always loved the Game of Thrones and Berserk style story telling.
I appreciate the effort in the video and modding FFT to display the MMO's overly dramatic quotes... But these aren't the same characters. Though newer renders and graphics, they're worse than the original game.
