@@awcole86 you'd be stuck with a crappy engine with really low, non existent tuning potential. No matter if you forge the econobox engine and then add two turbos, you won't beat the high end engine even stock.

I don't know anything about cars. You all do such a great job of explaining things, and doing both cheap and expensive parts I've one, learned so much and two, makes me think I can buy a used car and work on it. Thank you for all you guys do!
@@Litassa that would very interesting but still being above 15k per vehicle + mods that would be equivalent to STI money territory. It just doesn't seem practical. But you're right the Honda thing does seem over done
You guys went with JDM for the first season which was a great way to start off hi low, but personal I’m a muscle bro. I’d love to see season two bring in some awesome hi and low American muscle. Keep up the great content
Yes, the ubiquitous Civic, and the mustang and Miata are great choices as well. Also, I think anything from the best cars under 10k video would be good
I'd say definitely an Mx-5 or an e36. you can buy both for really cheap and they are great driving platforms. Maybe even do a cheap rally car or drift car challenge instead of a pt.2 track car
Truthfully, I would love to see a Hi-Low with miatas. They're cheap cars and yea they're slow but that's a car a lot of people buy to beat on or even learn stick shift. Regardless, I think itll be fun to watch. I think team hi was better, but for that price, team low won imo........I'm also broke so if anything thatd be the long term route I'd take🥺🥴
Hello from Australia....Super entertaining series and format starring a bunch or legends! I want to see LOTS more HiLow....maybe a 4x4 one 🤘 keep up the awesome Donut Media work!
I'd love to see a 92' - 95' civic HiLow season!!! other suggestions would be a vw golf mk 4 or a bmw e36. regardless of the car, I love the first season and the whole idea of the series
Yal are the most real car channel on UA-cam. Next do high low with the MR2. I would say do it with the first gen but second gen would be more practical.
For the next season I would love to see this: Take a really cheap car and an expensive car, install the expensive parts on the cheap car and install the cheap parts on the expensive car. That'd be a really cool twist on the whole thing.
Maybe I wasn't clear. I'm not talking about undoing any work on any cars, never mentioned that. The idea is to see whether you can make a cheap car perform better than a more expensive car. Cheap baseline vs expensive baseline End up with roughly the same overall spend Cheap car: $5000 initial buy with $30,000 in parts Expensive car: $25,000 initial buy with $10,000 in parts Both spending about $35,000 overall Just as an example
All the numbers added up correctly. My guess is they redid the graphic of the money for the last mod going up to keep the aesthetic of them both rising in cost. Or it’s just a mistake, idk
Great series guy, really fun to watch. I'd love to see your list for the "mid-car" build. What low parts would you put on and what hi parts were worth it? What would be your perfect combo?
@@likeaboss11123 I was thinking of a pure mix of high and low, but yeah, I kind of wish we could see what mid range price mods would be like. For example, what if low car had gotten a nicer single turbo kit? They went pretty bottom end and the install was a nightmare. Would the performance be worth it?
A week of weak build due to appearance. I would still take the LoCar if Nolan hadn't screwed up (in confidence over consciousness) GOIN HARD IN THE PAINT. aka PlastiDip.
So what do you think? After all this, are you Team Hi or Team Low?

I don't know anything about cars. You all do such a great job of explaining things, and doing both cheap and expensive parts I've one, learned so much and two, makes me think I can buy a used car and work on it. Thank you for all you guys do!
Do honda civics HiLow
Immense aftermarket support and still relatively cheap and easy to upgrade
Civic is boring now :D Cuz it's overused car everywhere. I think GT86 would be interesting :)
@@Litassa that would very interesting but still being above 15k per vehicle + mods that would be equivalent to STI money territory. It just doesn't seem practical. But you're right the Honda thing does seem over done
@@mangokraken Yeah just suggestion, I think Integra or RSX would also be nice for lower starting price than GT86
A cheaper Sti would be perfect for next season.
I love you James. ❤️👋🏼
It'll blow up once you put any power to it
Haha "out"
This was so far one of the best car series i have Ever Seen
See it's season two on FB
You guys went with JDM for the first season which was a great way to start off hi low, but personal I’m a muscle bro. I’d love to see season two bring in some awesome hi and low American muscle. Keep up the great content
In the 12 years I’ve been watching UA-cam, this was my favorite series to watch.
You should then also chek project mx5 by car throttel
B 10 miatas ain’t that interesting to me
I'd like to see either a Honda Civic HiLow or something out there like a Ford Mustang
Or even a Miata
or a Honda S2000
Why not a pair of old jeeps?
Yes, the ubiquitous Civic, and the mustang and Miata are great choices as well. Also, I think anything from the best cars under 10k video would be good
Fox body street/strip cars would be cool
That would be perfect. I'm down to watch all three.
I'd say definitely an Mx-5 or an e36.
you can buy both for really cheap and they are great driving platforms. Maybe even do a cheap rally car or drift car challenge instead of a pt.2 track car
Where the S13 boys 🤣
I would love to see that! I own a e36 myself sooo would be kind of helpful :)
YNG & RCKLSS yesssss
Or do a c4 corvette preferably the lt1 like 3-4k for a v8 autox track monster 300hp stock easily 400whp with heads and cam
A bimmer is going to be high maintenance but the MX-5 is perfect for an enthusiast on a budget.
I need more hi low in my life I could watch these all day every day or even just how to videos on different car parts
Nolan: "Roll that sweet sweet footage"
*ad comes up*
Thanks Nolan!!!!!
E36 or E46 M3's would be awesome for high-low!
Please do the BMW E30
I also wouldn't be mad at a Volvo
Bruh, definitely need to see a "hi-lo" Prius episode that would be so fun!
-said no one ever
Literally the best series I've watched on UA-cam
Watch the channel Goonzquad, they have some nice stuff too like this
Truthfully, I would love to see a Hi-Low with miatas. They're cheap cars and yea they're slow but that's a car a lot of people buy to beat on or even learn stick shift. Regardless, I think itll be fun to watch.
I think team hi was better, but for that price, team low won imo........I'm also broke so if anything thatd be the long term route I'd take🥺🥴
Agreed Miata's and mo cheap is mo betta
i don't think james and nolan would fit in a miata well, im 6'1" and i CAN NOT fit in one with the seat all the way back it feels like a go kart.
Don't forget that's just the price of parts not labor. That high car would be insanely expensive for a non mechanic to build
Miatas are for try hards. Buy something decent like a Lexus
Hilow: acura rsx
Audi tt
Ae86
Eclipse
2000gt
90’s Bmws
240sx
Impala
Hello from Australia....Super entertaining series and format starring a bunch or legends! I want to see LOTS more HiLow....maybe a 4x4 one 🤘 keep up the awesome Donut Media work!
Missed opportunity! They should have done a Holden HiLow when Down Undah recently!!a
I'd love to see a 92' - 95' civic HiLow season!!!
other suggestions would be a vw golf mk 4 or a bmw e36.
regardless of the car, I love the first season and the whole idea of the series
HiLow on a mk4 gti would be interesting to say the least... (meant that on a good way)
James: "I can't afford one!"
Also James: "For HiLow I make $4,000,000 an episode."
uraveragecarkid I think it was sarcasm though. Do you think they make that much? Honest question
@@austinconverse3578 Dude i'm not that dumb, i'm thirteen i think i know what sarcasm is by now
Chris Semaan 13 is a the pinnacle of sarcasm. Its a new concept to them. Fresh and unbridled. 😂
Austin Converse bro he is a big boy of course he knows sarcasm smh 🤦♀️
Sarcasm? Whats that taste like?
I’d really like to see a Golf GTI HiLow season so James can get his VW fix
he sent his golf to the shop, he posted on IG! im pyched to see how that comes out
Or the rabbit 2.5 because then we get to see them put a turbo on the i5
Joshua Rhamey I would love another 40 minute episode of near mental breakdown to turbo them
lol wut maybe it got an ls swap lol
Yal are the most real car channel on UA-cam. Next do high low with the MR2. I would say do it with the first gen but second gen would be more practical.
For the next season I would love to see this:
Take a really cheap car and an expensive car, install the expensive parts on the cheap car and install the cheap parts on the expensive car. That'd be a really cool twist on the whole thing.
But those cheap parts would still have to be better than stock
Of course they would. But that isn't the point of this, is it. You could argue the same thing with this first season so I don't get your point at all.
That would make no sense to undue all the work on both cars, and then put more effort into another shitbox.
theyll go broke unless they get sponsored
Maybe I wasn't clear. I'm not talking about undoing any work on any cars, never mentioned that. The idea is to see whether you can make a cheap car perform better than a more expensive car.
Cheap baseline vs expensive baseline
End up with roughly the same overall spend
Cheap car: $5000 initial buy with $30,000 in parts
Expensive car: $25,000 initial buy with $10,000 in parts
Both spending about $35,000 overall
Just as an example
Miata? I would absolutely love to see how one of those does with 30K+ pumped into it
I mean I'm sure you do but do you watch car throttle? Phil cost £25000 which is around $30,000
no no no miata gets money pit
Rolls. That's what it does. Lol
Miata 😂😂😂 gay
M iata
I s
A lways
T he
A nswer
That was the most mild yelling I have ever heard. Nolan is clearly such a nice guy. Great vid guys!
I would love seeing a bmw e30 highlow
well this aged well
Welding:
Low car: FREE
*Adss 1k to the money
Me:
ಠಿ_ಠ
Ákos B my guess is labor work...but idk if they added it for the rest of the mods
All the numbers added up correctly. My guess is they redid the graphic of the money for the last mod going up to keep the aesthetic of them both rising in cost. Or it’s just a mistake, idk
Idk but it looks weird they wrote FREE and adding 1k😂😂😂
more aaron pls
that dude is the coolest
I'm pretty sure he has his own UA-cam channel
facts
James: I make 4 million dollars for every episode of Hi Low
Also James: I can’t afford the $33,000 car
Did he actually say that?
I believe he means views...
kevin smith i meant him saying he cant afford it
@kevin smith he might make more money by ads and sponsors? right?
He sang a song, said "that's why I get paid the big bucks", followed by the $4 million each episode line. He says a lot of things, that are jokes.
So awesome to see that you guys came to New Mexico to test HiLow. We love you guys out here and would love to see you again in the future!
James just here flapping his moose knuckle on interview.
hot
Twisting Terrain I’m not seeing what your talking about
Skonny oh bro I can’t unsee it. It’s there when I sleep, it’s there when I’m at work. Every time I close my eyes I see James’ cramped ballsack
Great series guy, really fun to watch. I'd love to see your list for the "mid-car" build. What low parts would you put on and what hi parts were worth it? What would be your perfect combo?
lo car with the kw's would be perfect.
@@Træfisk I agree that's be awesome
Mid car without the high end seats. Wheels. High dollar brakes And wrap. That's what 10k less?
By mid I think he means mid range parts, so not high end but also not cheap lol not a mix of low and high
HiLow BRZ, Miata or WRX!
*also Up to Speed on Jessica* looking at you PUMPHREY
yea rally builds
BRZ would be a good idea
Wrx would be fun
BRZ PLEASE
Mr-s got miata in pocket😂
Wow... what a go series.. dont change the platform, i love every episode.
Do season 2 with an s2000 that’s would be awesome🤟🏼
Or or do a high car brz give that shit to nolan and a low car FRS and give the shit to James since they are for the most part the exact same car
Does more expensive mean more better?
Nolan: *Well yes, but actually no*
nolan gonna replace the charecter from that meme
Like same same but different
What about an older BMW Z3? They aren't worth a whole lot right now and they are a ton of fun to drive.
Kingsummit or a 97-06 BMW e46 325i cheap fun and I can friends in the car
I did this 13 hours ago, and you do it now and get more likes?
It bothers me that they STILL haven't replaced Lo Car's headlight.
This is like 3 months old bro
Low*
A week of weak build due to appearance. I would still take the LoCar if Nolan hadn't screwed up (in confidence over consciousness) GOIN HARD IN THE PAINT. aka PlastiDip.
This whole series feels like a Top Gear special and I fuckin love it.
This series was actually amazing
Do a “Hi-Low” with the E46 M3!
I love you, Donut 🥺❤️
There's nothing low in M3 e46 it will be Hi and Super Hi
Alfredo Tovar that would be retarded they’re already way overpriced junk
Aidan Barrett Lmao Hater ass . I got one in my fleet of cars it’s one of my favorites next to my 96 impala ss .
Gabriel Garcia you underestimate the power of Ebay, my friend lmao
Great one! You should do something Rally inspired like a WRX STI, Evo or BRZ
Brz's are not rally inspired lol
Bump on the WRX, STI, or Evo
fr I'd like to see a 2008 sti (hatch)
it's one of my favorites, AND James said it's his favorite Subaru in the up to speed on Wrx's
Subaru or EVO for sure. Maybe a Forester XT over the BRZ lol
Do a season with Miatas but this time do Hi, Low, and Mid
