Ironic how Rie is the one who usually uses liquor/alcohol in everything.. and now, she's the only one NOT using either if em. Oh, how the times have changed 😌
In Mexico they almost always put kalhua in it. I only see it on menus at sushi restaurants, and totally thought it was a mexican thing, not being traditionally japonese, and I’m now pleasantly surprised

If I have just the tiniest amount of coffee left in my French press when I go to clean it before I make dinner, I really, really like adding that to any sauces I'm using, or I'll sometimes add a bit of it into some hummus and it's incredible.
I just watched the show and Bucky reminds me of someone that I can't point out, but for some reason I keep thinking it might be Andrew, who I don't think look that much alike. Seeing someone else thinks the same, I believe it's the attitude or the body language, like his intense stare or something.
Inga, you did it again, amazing creativity! Mascarpone is basically lighter butter or clotted cream. :D Most store-bought lady fingers have sugar-coating, so yes, it's normal.
just found this series but I absolutely love it. it's like a couple friends getting together and talking about cooking in an educated, thoughtful manner
Coffee jelly takes me way back! The recipe is spot on to my mom’s actually! I remember eating this every summer outside my balcony with my parents just chillin…
Making a tiramisu has been on my to-do list for sooo long but i was always scared of messing up with the egg whites (having done so before in another recipe) so Andrew's tiramisu gave me inspiration. Watched the video only a few days ago and made my tiramisu this way and it turned out so good. Thanks for the motivation.
In Indonesia, our unique way of using coffee is to mash / juiced our avocadoes then put in some milk, condensed milk, and a little bit of coffee into it
I love these segments! If I could suggest a concept - I think it would be cool to see a follow along type of video where the team is recreating these recipes while the creator is explaining what they made.
Can there be a spin off series called “Tell us what you used” going over various cookware/equipment and there needs to be an episode guest starring Andrew Rea from Binging/Basics with Babish, with a video featuring tiny whisks!! Just saying!!
I like to add coffee and a bit of Mexican chocolate to my Japanese curry! It really adds more depth to the flavor and somehow tones down the spice level. I think it actually gives the spice something to hold onto.

Hey Rei, try making Norwegian egg coffee. It a process where you scramble an egg and add coffee ground to the egg and mix well, and then boil, strain (well) before serving, but it removes all bitterness (the bitterness is created during the roasting process) by purifying it while cooking, maybe you can get away with sugarless jelly that way.
Love these three. Such great video to watch while I'm eating dinner. Coffee jelly might not be my thing, but I never thought I'd eat boba and now I'm addicted. The ribs looked so good but I'll never deep fry. I would totally order it. And I wish I had the tiramisu right now.
Inga : mentions tiny whisk
*babish fandom is summoned*
Add kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, then tiny whisk until homogeneous. Now set aside and let the flavors get to know each other.

Or maybe coffee rub steak because he like steaks
Or coffee brownies

I wish Alvin had been part of this video, and done a Dalgona, a different version, there are new flavors, on Facebook food videos as well as here.
