yes, alcohol evaporates when cooked, but over time
its just like water, but cooks off faster
alcohol doesnt disappear the moment you start cooking something, it just evaporates away over time, faster than water but nowhere near close to being instant
alcohol in food thats cooked can be 0.01% left at the end with long cooked dishes
but in the case of this video, where rie added it to the caramel mixture that had been cooled down with butter, i assume not even half of the alcohol was cooked off
no this doesnt mean you can get drunk off of food cooked with alcohol, as the servings are so small they arent enough to impact you in that way
but for people who for one way or another cant or dont want to consume alcohol i wouldnt reccomend using it in cooking

I'm European and we do the same thing.. but I'm from the more eastern side of Europe, sooo Romania. I don't know if the more civilized countries do this, Romania is a complete mess every time, all the time.

Us is one of the only countries that doesn’t offer paid mat leave which is really sad
We should have more parental leave but this seems like the kind of thing where it's mostly work from home and then one day in the studio. Aybody with a baby knows once in a while a day away from it is kinda refreshing haha. When my sister had a six month old and a three year old she was kinda glad to go to a two day work conference and leave the babies with their dad and grandma.

this is a tip my mother gave me, when having a baby food container you can put enought baby wipes for a trip so you don´t have to bring the whole bag, they won´t dry so is pretty useful

It’s been 2 years but I use Vegemite to add umami depth to my savoury dishes including spag bol, savoury mince, taco meat etc… I think it is more of an ingredient than a … food, like the Big Mac, turkey stuffing etc. but I would love to see what she can come up with, I’m sure she’d blow away all our expectations

Tendinitis is something that can take a long long time to fix, I’m also a chef and trust me most of the times you have no choice but to work through it. Her best bet would be to get a wrist brace and go to a physio for exercises to strengthen her wrist.

It's also against all rules and regulations in every job to force someone to come to work during a pandemic especially with a young child. No-one is allowed to be forced to work now. Sure she might be exhausted but firstly, she has a four month old child. Secondly, she had a choice and she chose to go to work to make something people would enjoy watching and maybe even making themselves. She even said her wrists probably hurt due to holding her baby. I take it you made the comment before watching the entire video.

Wash the jar and boil it with liquid gel, take the label off and wash again and dry. Then add spices in it. Works great.
