    Fun fact, the reason you get alliums with the onions is because they're in the same family, along with garlic, chives, ect. There's a specific "ornamental onion" which is what the flowers are, but regular onions and chives ect flower just like that

      Less fun fact: they also smell rather strongly like onions/garlic, they really aren’t appealing flowers to keep, especially indoors.

    As a 28 year old, I want to tell you one thing when I heard your piece around the 1:30:02 mark: breathe. You will never feel like you have enough time and I 100% understand your stress… bro I thought I would be married with kids and all that at 25 at the MAXIMUM, but that is definitely not how life played out, and I am so ok with that. Now, it might not be for you. Your timeline might be exactly as you think but please remember that you really do have a lot of life left. It’s what you DO with that life that makes it worth living.

      In Hardcore it's just best not to deal with Wardens at all. Like there's 0 reason for you to go Ancient City or Deep Dark diving unless you want the armor trim and even then you only need 1 so once you get it just dip as fast as possible. Don't even worry about it trying to shoot you, as long as your tunnel is long enough you should be able to outrun it because its beam attack is only like 25-30 blocks range and it'll eventually give up once it looses the ability to attack you after X amount of time.
      I'm on a modded server with prot 7 full netherite and resistance and strength buffs permanently active and even I still get bodied by Wardens because they just do THAT much damage. Wardens are those mobs that you really just don't wanna mess with, ever. Not even a totem will save you because the second the totem pops it'll just charge up another beam attack or slap you into your astral form seconds later. The loot isn't worth dying for in any medium especially on Hardcore and bro should've dipped the second he set one of those shriekers off to begin with instead of pushing his luck.
      You can only set them off 4 times per player or X times in general and after that every subsequent shrieker scream will spawn a Warden. Yes, even if you go to a new ancient city/deep dark, you will continue to spawn Wardens, just don't do it.

    • @PurplePansyttv
      @PurplePansyttv 5 днів тому

      @@darkstone_official_2427 Or just learn how to get better at looting cities, hiding from wardens, and placing wool. Its really not hard to just avoid them. Just learn about the warden. Then go and get the loot. Going in blind will likely get you killed. If you know what you're doing.. and you still die. Then that's a skill issue.

    15:59 what I find difficult about series is that UA-camrs are so inconsistent with uploads and then they suddenly quit the series because they're bored or they've tried to do two series at once. Alongside that, UA-camrs are doing such big projects, episodes are sometimes months apart and by then I've forgotten everything. I also find that they don't put an episode number in the title or thumbnail so you never know what episode you're on.

    ---
    I'm not a competitive person at all. I'm also not very persistent. At least not in a way that I could build a UA-cam channel like you do. But luckily it still is enough that I could get a bachelor in electrical engineering. After that I started working in the industry and helped writing low level code for devices that can be used in trains. It's a job I enjoyed and one which I plan on continuing, once my masters is finished.
    After 3 years of working in my job, I started to have a little mid life crisis, even though I was only in my late twenties. Until I finished my bachelor I always had a goal to work towards. I always felt like I was moving into a fruitful direction. In the first year or two of working I had to get used to my workplace, as the job takes quite a while to get proficient in. But after a while it started to get repetitive. There was no girlfriend in sight, and therefor also no family. Even though I was working on some hobbies I enjoyed, they didn't really bring any purpose or big narrative. So I decided to go back to the place where I felt comfortable - I went back to school.
    Now I'm two years into my masters in photonics. Photonics is basically engineering or physics that concerns itself with on light or electromagnetic radiation. By now I noticed that I don't feel at home anymore at school. Partially it is enjoyable, and I certainly learn a lot of stuff. I love learning, so that is great. But balancing the projects with school work and stuff like this is not to my taste. Also I prefer the industry over the academy as a workplace.
    There is another and probably even better thing that happened in my live thanks to school. When I grew up I always went to my local church. But as I grew older, all my friends moved to various places in Switzerland. And so my social network there basically dissolved. When I was about a month into my masters, my father asked me if there is some sort of bible club at school. After a quick google from his side, I joined the one he found. That club works in all universities of Switzerland and by now I participated in various nationwide events. I got to know many Christians who study various disciplines. I also visited several churches all around Switzerland.
    I'm aware that this is not something that I can do for the rest of my life. At some point my master is over and at some point I have to settle down. But I will definitely milk the situation I'm in. And hopefully I will also find my significant other during that time.
    One thing I fear a little is that once my master is over, I'm back again where I started and I can pick up my midlife crisis where I left it. I can see two solutions to solve that. Either having a family or working on a project that gives me a long term goal.
    For some reason I seem to have a problem with finding a girlfriend. I would love to do stuff together with women in some group and then something develops out of that. Cold approach and dating seems pretty boring and exhausting to me. Also I enjoy my life alone, so my drive to find a woman is pretty low.
    Another problem I have is that in most of my environments there is one woman for every twenty men or so. And in those places where there are more women, I'm pretty good at the platonic interaction with them, but nothing romantic ever came out of it. This isn't made any easier for me, since every social interaction I see around me is either platonic or they are already in a relationship. I don't think I ever saw anyone ask anyone out. So I don't really know how to proceed as I lack both experience and role models. The only good thing I noticed is that women pay slightly more attention to me in the last two years.
    When it comes to the long term project that may give me purpose I also see some problems. I love learning stuff, but I'm bad at working on stuff. And even if I could work on a project and get things done, I feel like it should be an actual improvement for a community or a customer base. Otherwise it would just be a thing I did for myself. The combination of not seeing a customer base and being pessimistic about my work ethics makes me think that I'm not likely to find fulfillment in a hobby project.
    ---
    Considering this video and the topics you talked about, I thought you wouldn't mind if I went a bit personal in my comment. I'm happy for you that you have your goal and you pursue it at the age of 23. Thank you for making the videos you make. Perhaps I will watch a second one if the UA-cam algorithm shows one at the right time.
    Based on the other comments it looks like you read all the comments, but you don't respond to them. So I won't expect a response either. But be aware that you are valued for your job and I wish the best of luck to you in your journey.

    To try to motivate farming I made a mod that adds a selling bin; Stardew Valley style the food you leave in it over night is "sold" and turned into emerald nuggets according to the hunger each item restores. It’s strange to say I idolize the way you communicate since I’m 21 and you’re only two years older, but I think the freshness of your movie style videos is that it almost feels like a roadtrip drive where you just talk and someone listens, you drive the content with your own ideas and we get to sit in the passenger seat along the way. My girlfriend and I of two years recently just broke up and so I haven’t really had motivation outside going to the gym to do anything, but listening to your videos is almost therapeutic and takes the mind off of the surreal environment in my mind. For serving, I understand the unicity, being one piece of this all serving group, but I think I personally prefer to provide individualistically. If everyone’s away in the army, people back home still need someone to put their weight onto, and I much enjoy that place and being there for others by just being me. I also understand being stressed and overwhelmed by the tsunami of life that just keeps coming every year, marriage, wanting to settle but also feeling like everything is just beginning and wanting to try new things like traveling, building a home, it’s all just, a lot. I actually think “Horton hears a Who” helped me grasp my own feelings on everything, seeing my life as a piece of pollen on a flower in a greater space of being, taking everything in slower and following the pace of my own progression and not trying to jump to things that I don’t have to just yet.

And you apply mods and shaders to make it slightly less predictable- without it being too much. I like to have you on in the background while I do other things, like a podcast. And when I’m done I can sit down and watch you without switching content. It feels like real, raw ‘content’. Like how UA-cam used to be.

    Idunno if you ever discovered it, but you can move bee hives/nests with carry-on. You sometimes need to jump to be close enough to grab them, but it doesn't anger the bees, and it lets you get away without needing to transfer bees from a nest to a hive.

    As a kid I used to really love watching a variety Minecraft videos from the famous creators at the time but as I've gotten older I lost interest in Minecraft videos in general and veered towards more mature content while still watching the occasional games that are trendy, but with your videos I found myself looking forward to more Minecraft content lately with the videos being yours primarily. It makes me happy in a way where I feel like I can connect to my younger self and just forget about everything or when I have deadlines coming up I can listen to your videos and it feels just like I'm chilling with a friend over at discord. Thanks for reigniting my love for Minecraft, the game that I grew up with!

    What you said about time...woah. I watch your videos every now and then when getting ready in the mornings, and I was drawn to this one for some reason. When it got to what you said about time, I started crying. I want to be a writer, and recently I've been struggling with getting drafts out because I feel like I have all this time. But I don't. I'm 18, I'm going to school to be a Toxicologist, I have a whole book that's just sitting and waiting for me. Not for anyone else, but for ME. It really spoke to me. You are wonderful, and I can't help but be astounded by your powress and your will to go forward in life. I envy it very much, and you made me think of so many stirring, reflexive habits I have of "Oh, I can do this task later, It's okay, I can do this other task instead". I need to get focused and immersed in what I'm doing and never give up, just like you haven't. Thank you so much for this. I hope everything made sense, if you even read this, as English is my third language. Have a wonderful day!

    I feel like a big reason why you are being "rewarded" by youtube is because the content you are putting out is something that you genuinely love doing, and it certainly can be felt by the viewer, which leads them to not only appreciate the product, but also feel a more direct connection with it. You love this format and it can be felt, and even though it might not be for everyone, perhaps costing you a bit in a larger viewership due to trending, you are creating an audience that is more likely to be connected to your channel specifically, meaning it will pay off in the long run.
    Personally, what I love about your long videos, which have a new beginning every time, is that I don't feel compelled to tune in at a specific schedule each time the creator uploads. Sometimes I miss out when a creator starts off a new series, and suddenly there is like 20 videos of 45 minutes each, and I don't even want to start watching it because I feel like there's no point in catching up... (Kinda like One Piece). Whereas with your kind of format, I can choose a video, start it, and don't even need to finish it all in one go... I can leave it there and tune back in when I can and want to, and not feel like I missed out on new lore and new things.
    Also, congrats on going full time, super happy for you! :)
    (edit) you summarised what I said literally three seconds after I commented this...lol

    hey! the video was so enjoyable and peaceful :) when you talked about doing "movies" instead of short episodes,, you could also think/call it long-form content. Which I feel like is getting more and more popular with creators. People don't wanna scroll and watch 5 minute videos anymore and I personally don't find them engaging anymore. Long-form has so much potential within it and there's ways to build a plot or story! anyway, great video! hope to see more like this!

    Wardens don't actually need to hear you moving to track you down, they can sniff you to find you. The devs added this because otherwise you could just stay still and it wouldn't do anything. This way you'd need to bring snowballs or something throwable to distract the warden.
    Really sad that you died, the farm was going to look awesome especially with the other Stardew stuff like the wizard tower and Linus' tent. You could've ended up making all the main buildings or the town square part as well.

    For bees nests, being collected needs a silk touch axe (not sure if needs to be greater than stone)
    And do it at night (cause theyre asleep and not looking for flowers) if you want the bees to stay inside them when transporting :3

    • @phantomjaden
      @phantomjaden 22 дні тому

      It can actually be any tool with silk touch, not just axes! Axes are technically the correct tool for breaking bee nests but that only affects mining speed and tool durability. Silk touch is the only important thing for obtaining the bee nest as an item.

    • @trendane
      @trendane 21 день тому

      You can also build a campfire below the nest (leave at least one box of space between them) and the smoke will pacify the bees while they are inside the nest. Silk Touch tool to harvest the whole nest, bottles to collect honey, shears to collect comb/wax (to seal copper or build new hives).

    Hi Flow. This is the first of your videos I've ever seen. I know its a couple of weeks in so you may not see this.
    Firstly, huge congratulations are in order for you to be able to take UA-cam full time. I for one will be here long yerm to support the choice you have made now.
    This video was excellent. Not only was the in-game content really interesting, but the conversations felt exactly like that. Conversations. Its such a unique skill which many do not hold. It's easy to not recognise with the amount of creators on this platform. For someone who has worked in media and production before and has made attempts at building a UA-cam channel before, it's inspiring to see someone who has similar views, opinions and mindsets as I do being able to achieve what I wish to. It has had me seeking introspectively as to what I want and can achieve and has given me the motivation to really push to achieve my goal now.
    Like your future situation, I have people to support but I'm not in an optimal position in my life but I'm working on that. I've been looking for direction and I woke up today feeling lost and finally realised that I've spent close to the last 9 years doing things I never really wanted to do.
    In regards to the idea of having a server with 10ish people on, it sounds amazing and the chance to do that would be really quite interesting. I have plenty of time to dedicate to it should the opportunity present itself but either way it would be excellent to watch. Also yes, create mod would be a nightmare on that server! Haha. I've run numerous servers (close to 20 now actually) only 2 of which had create on. Of thise 2, the only server which could hold create in all of it's end game glory and not massively impact the server was an extremely costly 16GB server with a max pop of 15 users. I5ts just far too intense to really run in any capacity for a server without having some serious monetary draw to maintain the server. If it's something you did want to look into though and try and optimise, I'd be happy to see what I could do to offer help configuring the server etc. Let me know if that is something that could be of use and we can find a way to connect that suits you.
    A final note, thank you for this video and I wish you the very best with your endeavours into UA-cam and further into the future.
    I sincerely look forward to all of the new videos that follow.

    I'm so glad YT decided to recommend this. It's very fitting that I was playing SDV when I saw it! Flowstate is the PERFECT name too, because long form stuff like this definitely helps me focus (flow!). The self contained stories are wonderful, and if the other comments are right (I'm posting this maybe around 30 minutes in), I've got some good Real Talks to look forward to. I love the idea of starting and ending a world all in one video, because like you said: you don't need any 'lore' for it.
    I also really appreciate you explaining the mods! Whatever packs you're using are beautiful to look at when I glance over at an interesting moment. Your voice is nice to listen to, and the music feels like it's part of the world in a way I can't really explain. Great work!
