This "just chatting" style of Let's Play, especially in Survival instead of Hardcore, has quickly become one of my favorite video formats to come back to. Minecraft's exploration, the mods used, and even the IRL-focused tangents you go on all work together very well, not to mention the laid back approach to progression. I hardly ever comment on videos, but I feel this like needed to be said. Thanks for doing what you do.

Agreed 100%, I love this style and I notice with a lot of people creating the minecraft hardcore videos seem to 'lose' that social aspect of the video, I think it's important to have it

Having respawns makes your deaths so much more funny, because if you get one tapped by a stray you have the option to laugh it off instead of getting mad.
Man, that skybox is amazing at nighttime😍.

One of the greatest feelings of watching the same youtuber for 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, etc. is that you get to see them grow along with their content. I have been watching your videos from when you were around 90-100k subscribers. To see you now reaching 250k+ and now having all your videos average over 100k views and being over an hour long is absolutely bewildering. I wish you success in every endeavor you pursue and I cannot wait to watch this new video of yours on the drive home from work. Your videos truly bring me a sense of peace, serenity, and enjoyment that no other youtuber to this date has been able to replicate. I thank you for everything you do and I hope you continue to grow and provide even more content for us to watch. Love you man, best of luck!

EnvironmentZ has a broken config out of box. I found this out when I added it to your pack a few days ago. The thermostat shows the temperature of the given area you are in, and the other hud aspect you hid shows YOUR temp, which is why you kept dying when no longer cold. I changed the config to have it in long term where it only does damage after 15 minutes in a very cold or hot biome and it was a nice addition

I like the switch to normal survival. Just because everyone else is doing hardcore doesn’t you gotta follow all the time. You can play a little less careful and be a little more reckless, which is another fun way to play. Awesome video by the way!

You might also want to try the mod "Homeostatic" for a Temperature Mod next time. It does add the need to drink, but as long as you have access to sand you can make water bottles and purify water on campfires (or in furnaces / etc). Might be a bit hard in the cold, but as long as you get a campfire you should be sorta fine (by default you also see your temperature by a gui element, but I think that can be turned off).
Compared to other Temperature Mods Homeostatic feels actually fine - not really taking center stage unless you are in extreme environments (Desert / Icy Biomes) - though there is no difference for being "inside", only heat sources actually count (i.e. like a campfire for example), and frankly I don't think any mod does that yet.
Homeostatic does make torches (placed, at least) give of some heat, but its very little - too little to survive in colder biomes.
That said LevelZ might make this infeasible if you cannot build an early campfire or smelth glass bottles early (since you need a source of water)

I think you've really struck gold with the way that you edit, style, and format your videos, and it's SUCH a breath of fresh air in the wild west of the internet. I hadn't played Minecraft is ages because I always got bored of vanilla with only shaders or a different texture pack, but I found your channel from the better adventures+ modpack and decided to try it with some of my own additions as well I have been having so much more fun!
Also, the long form chatting type of content is awesome, and your editing quality is fantastic. I think I remember you mentioning that you might have ADHD in a video before, and coming from someone with ADHD, I can definitely relate to the way that you talk and structure your thoughts in conversations by getting off topic and linking seemingly random ideas together, and it is incredibly entertaining and comforting to watch or listen to in the background for long periods of time, much more so than super structured or animated talking you see from a lot of other youtubers haha

Im in my undergrad right now, and most of my day consists of either studying or working at the hospital. Finals are coming up soon, and the workload is heavier than ever so I'm pretty stressed out, but every night before I go to bed I always put on one of your videos. Even if I have already watched it. I rarely get to play Minecraft with my limited free time being taken up by work, school, or my girlfriend, so watching these videos is just truly the most relaxing and calming part of my day. I love watching you try out all these cool mods and listen to your random talks while playing survival mode, and the shaders and music really do add the perfect finishing touch. But yeah, I'm fairly new to your channel as I only found it by chance 2-3 months ago and I'm so glad I did. I've binge watched so many videos already and, even if I am in my stupid neuroscience research methods lecture and I get a notification that you posted, I get so hyped and excited to hop into my bed and just relax and watch. - As a note on the whole "biological clock" thing - when men are older, there's a higher risk of there being birth defects, it's just not something that's commonly known/discussed. And oof, yeah - been on the receiving end of comments when mentioning that I and my partner don't want kids, and people get So awful about it or like, wish an accidental pregnancy on people, which is....kinda a pretty awful thing to wish for a kid to have parents that didn't want them. Especially since we've both got health issues that we wouldn't want to pass down.

I love watching your vids over other Minecraft creators because those vids all feel like they’re targeted for children, but yours are calmer and feel less juvenile. So as a24yo adult who recently got back into Minecraft from when I was like 12, I really appreciate the long form content that’s not all screamy kid jokey type. Keep up the good work!

I really liked the survival mode instead of hardcore. and I love that your videos are long, I think it helps to make moments as varied as just playing the game or talking about anything else happen. In general your videos have always transmitido un poco de paz y cozyness, I put them in my ipad while I play in my own world.

Hi flow, I haven't watched the video yet (obviously), but I just wanted to say, that I've only recently found you and I am literally in love with your videos. I've always thought of myself as a chill, never stressing guy, but while I'm watching you (and for some time after) I feel the peace that I think I've never felt before. That made me wonder if maybe I'm stressing all the time, but that's besides the point.
I suspect, that that peacefulness I feel is partly because minecraft was the first game I've played (I'm 23 btw) and is so familiar to my mind, but also greatly because of the immersive modpack you've created and your playing/narrative style. The is no rush, no deadline to mind, no excessive expression and emotions. It's just you in a new world, guiding us through your journey and telling interesting stories.
You're truly unique and I'm glad you could quit your job (congratulations!) to go full time into creating this content for us. Since I found you it's almost only your videos that I watch on YT. So I guess, thank you. I really appreciate it.
On a side note, I've always liked to play with my voice, doing audiobooks, singing etc. and you've inspired me to try and create something similar for a polish audience. Cozy and peaceful minecraft videos with me, trying my best to soothe people with my voice. Once I upgrade my PC, I'll start and we'll see if I could be for someone, who you are for me.

I know I’ve left a ton of comments on this video, but I just wanted to share one more thing. The other day, this guy stopped me on a street corner to try and get me in his religion. I figured I’d be polite, so I stood there for like 10 minutes listening to his whole pitch. When he finally finished, he handed me a few piece of paper with a quiz on them based on his religious text. I was like, "Bro, I’m not even part of this religion!" Anyway, I ended up being late for school, lesson learned. Also I love the music in the video, I feel like it really matches with whats going on.

I have a pretty bad PC and I'm not sure I'll actually commit to that but I'll keep pondering. I had a few ideas on how to make an hopfully good temperature mod. Maybe one day!

1:53:33 going off the gym talk, something that helped me, as stupid as it may seem, was to plan my day around going to the gym. Set a time you want to go and be finished at the gym. Maybe do this with recording as well, give yourself time between work and the gym to record, eat dinner then head straight to the gym afterwards, or do the opposite in the morning. I don’t know how busy you are but there is always time to improve your health, even if it’s for 30 min a day, it’s better than nothing. Hope this helps, love what you’re doing, keep it up.

The rant about food at cca 53:00 is so relatable, I always order same things over and over. Me and my friends have a tradition (ig?), for years we go every Friday for a dinner, it started when we attended the sane chesa club, so we just went after every lesson. It's really nice and I love it, anyway, we go into Asian restaurant(s) mostly, we order 3 things on the menu most of the time. It's very comforting, we know we like it and no one needs to make a decision, which we all struggle with. Me and my brother struggle with change in general, but I think everyone finds comfort in repetitions and traditions sometimes.

This has inspired me to wanna make a video similar because I struggle with trying to edit, and commentary on my videos and lives. I have a lot of brain fog no matter what I’m doing. and the little helpful tips you add are a help too. I just recently found your channel this morning and I absolutely love it. I get burnt out from streaming and have been for awhile now, and it’s because my audience isn’t really growing as I thought it would. But, I really appreciate your content even though I just found you. 🖤🖤 Thank you so much.

I lived in Seoul (the 8th largest city in the world for those unfamiliar) and all I gotta say is- train to walk quickly. Salesman and religious people are very persistent and often annoying, but most won't pursue you if you're a speedwalker. Sometimes they won't even bother if they can tell you're going to zoom by them. Man... I was so fit when I lived there, lol.

Hi Flow! As a fellow survival enjoyer I would really suggest You trying out Tough as Nails mod. From what I see TaN is so much better balanced and just more intuitive. Also the temperature bar is better made and You see how and when You're warming up and cooling down!
But be ready for thirst 🤭
And I just wanted to say I really love this video, it's so calming and well made. Echo effect putted on Your voice in ravines, those shaders?! It's so climactic! In Poland, where I live, it's getting cold for the first time in this year and this (oh my- in this moment my roommate literally came and said that it is snowing for the first time in our city! 💗☺️) video is perfect, I feel the cold between trees and warm in caves 🥰
Thank You so much, in this hardcore world I would love to see more videos like this, with slower progress but calmer and with climate 💖🥰

The reason why long videos do so well is because it doesn't just make you more money but youtube as well. So longer videos are recommended to people more than shorter ones. UA-cam's most valuable viewers are sleeping ones because sleeping viewers don't skip ads.
