I just found this channel and this was the most emotional thing I've seen in a while, it hit me right in the "you've never had a real home" and made me actually start working on the house I wanna live in for the rest of my life. With the current market in my area it's almost imposible to get a house that is both practical and affordable, but this made me think that, at the end of the day wherever I make my home, it's going to be just mine untill I die, and later on it will be someone elses house untill they get to find their perfect place. Making something just for the process, even if it wont last forever, but still giving the thought of the eternal life in its own space, is the most human thing out there

this really got me... i've been homeless most of my adult life and have never had a place i could call my own. i've played a lot of minecraft, ignoring the optimization meta and just building. building a home for myself over and over again. standing around, walking through it, just getting immersed in this place i made for myself. it certainly fills a void, both creatively and spiritually for me. i've decided my best course of action with this housing market is to get a van and put everything i need in it. electricity, shower, kitchen, etc. i can make that my home. it will be the only way i can 'own a home' in this economy, and i'll be very proud of it. one day i'll upgrade, and probably sell it to someone else who can't afford anything better and who will appreciate the humble but intentional craftsmanship i'll put into it. i have so many years of practice making a home for myself out of nothing, both in and out of the digital world.

This video is my introduction to you, and you absolutely did not disappoint. You’re aesthetic and genuine passion and interest in this build made me extremely happy. I love when creators like you drag parts of their personal lives into things that add real character.
This is a perfect example of the maximalist house i want when I get older. Its charming, it has character, and you can really imagine yourself spending everyday in it. obviously, its a minimalists hell on earth, but its gorgeous

This is the first video I’ve ever seen from you and I am totally amazed. I’m so glad you took the time to make something completely for yourself. You can really see all the love you put in with no pressure from anyone else, no expectations, no deadlines, just you and your creativity free to roam and build as it wants to. It’s a shame that the world ended up being pretty much inaccessible, but it’s fitting that the cottage now exists completely on it’s own. Every detail you added seemed well thought out and intentional. I absolutely love this build. Also the way your Minecraft character is animated when you’re narrating is so cute. To say you did a great job would be an understatement. I’m very inspired!

oh I totally teared up at the end,,, what a beautiful story :) I always love ur stories sniff!!! this was such a beautiful build and I loved all the thought that went into it! A house that is lived in,, with the open window and the curtains spilling over the table,, how it reflects who built it, who lives in it, and who will live in it,, I learned a lot from this little video! and my respect for architecture has definitely gone up!
this is literally the coolest minecraft building video i’ve ever watched. not only because the build is incredible, but also because of the history and architecture knowledge that you used to help the build? this is awesome. definitely earned my like and subscribe.

let me just say that this build is so detailed, and so good, that i genuinlly didnt recognize that it was a minecraft build in the thumbnail. i thought it was something straight out of the sims 4 from how smooth it looked. so props on you for that.
The pointy roofs also served as a way to keep deep snowfall from building up and crushing the roof. A crucial and sometimes necessary feature in regions with heavy snow during the winter.
i dont watch building minecraft stuff but at this point this isnt minecraft its insanely cool 3d pixel art XD like u basically built this whole thing bit by bit. Thats so impressive :D
Only found your channel a short whiles back and subbed immediately for the vibes. I can't understate how the exterior and how the interior is based off tudor design is 1 for 1 my dream home I've drawn plans for lol. Always a joy for your videos to pop up!

I just checked out your farmer mods video, and tbh I got curious about your channel overall, so I clicked on this video and- WOW. Seriously, just- wow. The details, the animations, your character moving around with ACTUAL FACIAL EXPRESSIONS- I'm OBSESSED with the little details, and this video definitely made my day Keep up your work bc I swear I’ve never seen such quality and effort in a Minecraft video
i just came across this video, i was watching it for a while and i subscribed when you brought it up because of how hard you worked on this. such a gorgeous build!
9:28 Lord I know that feeling too well. I've submitted a LEGO tram design to an official contest and everyone I've showed it to says "wow! It's so beautiful, you're so talented, I'm sure it will win!" but here I am thinking to myself "there's at least ten flaws I can think of looking at this thing from a glance, I'm a hack, I have no chance of winning whatsoever."
absolutely loved this video! it’s been a while (bc of my awful attention span) that I’ve been able to just sit down and whole a video all the way there. the narrative, the personal thoughts, the actual building itself, everything worked so well to enthrall me. this felt like sitting down during the autumn cold, staring out the window dreaming of something bittersweet. it was great to watch you have fun and build something for just yourself. and you’re so right at the end about the strange poetry of having this be unsharable, like it’s this whole, small, intimate story inaccessible to all but you. loved this video!!
@Snifferish , I love this whole thing, I’ve never used chisel and bits, so you are vastly more talented than I on this matter. However I think I can help you make hyper realistic builds. Next time you make a bookshelf, have a book extend past the frame of the bookshelf. I know if you have ever had a bookshelf, you’ve had a book that didn’t fit, it really hits the nail on the head of “less realistic to be more realistic in reality” or however you said it. Anyway I wish I could make something like this today, but I’ll have to start practicing I’ve been inspired. Thank you for that, have a good one Lmk if you wanna co-lab, I don’t have a Chanel, but I’m pretty good with redstone, even in older versions
This absolutely can be my dream house. You did it so well that I took a screenshot because if I ever have a house in the future, I want it to look like this.
Glad you returned to mchorses mods like you use to use back in the day with blockbuster mod and now with his lastest mod bbs mod, miss sniffer. I'm RoeRaven the gentlemen who mentioned it to you! Me & mchorse is happy for your return!
you inspired me to add chisel and bits into a modpack for me and my friend. I am having so much fun with it but in the same breath I am even more in awe of your absolute innate talent and all of your hard work to make such incredible creations with it. I love your stuff! Thanks for sharing it with us!
I am in love with every part of this build. The story telling, the details, the ideas or some parts that are thought to be realistic. My first time seeing this channel and I am already in love with it.
25:52 you did not have to shoot me through the heart at the end there. May I use this cottage as a hidden D&D location? I'll probably never use it but it would be my own way of immortalizing, and interpreting it.
Love the house! Also, fun fact side note, the reason for high sloped roofs was also for the added benefit of not allowing snowfall to put too much pressure on the supports by making it slide off earlier, so not having an attic is completely valid, the roof still isn't purely aesthetic!
I love watching ppl build detailed things in minecraft, very specifically i like watching more cottagey- timey houses, i can tell im gonna love this channel.
26:20 THIS MADE ME CRY 😭😭😭😭😭 Cause thats how i feel sometimes. I build stuff in Minecraft, roblox studio, blender and sometimes I feel alone while doing it but it feels like its my own personal safe space
I have been missing minecraft lately as a sims 4 girly myself lol because every project I start in minecraft makes me feel MASSIVE burn out so when I saw this in my suggestions I thought I’ll just watch it because honestly I need more build ideas in the sims 4 but honestly this video was breathtaking and beautiful I felt like every part of it was carefully crafted (pun intended) and I just have to say that you rekindled my love for minecraft this was absolutely incredible
I like the poetic idea of it being lost. I’ve thought about a mod where if you die you spawn in a random location in Minecraft’s massive world. I know the majority would hate that, but for me it would be a kind of semi-hardcore. You lose easy access to your grand builds but for me there’s something magical about knowing they’re still out there, just really really far away, and one day you might be able to travel back
I can’t believe I’ve lived my life this long without seeing a single one of your videos! #1. YOU ARE ADORABLE #2. You’re so easy to listen to. And #3. You are freaking talented as all hell! I’ve played vanilla Minecraft for over a decade and I could NEVER! You are literally like an architect but in Minecraft! You should be hired by mojang to make highly detailed maps for minigames and such!!!!
I did not expect to cry at the end of this video, wow. I just thought of all the houses I built for myself as a kid that I can’t access anymore but will always be somewhere out there frozen in time. Thank you for this ❤

This video is my introduction to you, and you absolutely did not disappoint. You’re aesthetic and genuine passion and interest in this build made me extremely happy. I love when creators like you drag parts of their personal lives into things that add real character.
Same, we need a team of modders to recover the world and fix it to not crash a computer.
This is a perfect example of the maximalist house i want when I get older. Its charming, it has character, and you can really imagine yourself spending everyday in it. obviously, its a minimalists hell on earth, but its gorgeous

Fun fact: this is called a breakfast nook, these spaces are supposed to be considered as more informal dining rooms and tend to feature large windows to allow the morning sunlight to make it's debut while you eat in the morning
as someone who is a professional interior design HATER, i really like to look at your interior designs and it helps me pick and choose what i should and shouldn't build in my interiors. thank you snifferish for just being, you. (love ur vids)
Was not ready for the character rendering at the beginning but I’m all for it
THANK YOU for finally making a long-form video of one of your builds!!! i've wanted this for so long, wishing that they weren't just delegated to shorts
watching through this video more, i can confidently say that this has to be one of my favourite youtube videos of all time. this is absolutely gorgeous, you've outdone yourself. you're a brilliant artist
i don't know if you'll read these comments, but if you do-- i'd love if you made sims build videos too!! and hopefully they'll be less of a time sink for you
This is the first video I’ve ever seen from you and I am totally amazed. I’m very inspired!

have a wonderful day
oh I totally teared up at the end,,, what a beautiful story :) I always love ur stories sniff!!! this was such a beautiful build and I loved all the thought that went into it! A house that is lived in,, with the open window and the curtains spilling over the table,, how it reflects who built it, who lives in it, and who will live in it,, I learned a lot from this little video! and my respect for architecture has definitely gone up!
I almost cried at the story about naming it the cottage for nobody! It's really moving. Great job Sniff! Subscribing now!
this is literally the coolest minecraft building video i’ve ever watched. not only because the build is incredible, but also because of the history and architecture knowledge that you used to help the build? this is awesome. definitely earned my like and subscribe.
This is one of the most sentimental, inspiring, creative, nostalgic videos I’ve ever seen. I think that whoever thinks this was just all setup to be heartwarming, you don’t have a cold heart, you have no heart.
“Best sandbox game” yet we’re having people say Minecraft lost it’s value
I dont think it has tbh, those people always seem like the type to complain about anything lol
@@viridia1526 to be fair, i do think Minecraft has lost its charm and I can’t play it for longer than 10 minutes without getting extremely bored. 🤷♀️
@@Tildagchicken you just need to do something new when you play it again, like build an entire village in survival or mine a mountain. There is the option to download mods to make it more exciting.
@@HEADHUNTER_FILM While I appreciate your suggestion and I understand that some people may disagree with me I just think that if I tried to do something new and exciting I would lose motivation within a week. (I can’t download mods either! 😔) However I still enjoy watching my favourite Minecraft youtubers make Minecraft videos!
@@Tildagchicken Thanks! Just wanted to make sure you tried other options before giving up😁
I love how this incorporates real history and actual good design. I adore this house and very well done :)
man the production quality of your videos has become absolutely insane!
as someone who wants to go to college to be an architect (after scrapping the unlikely idea of interior designing), also loves green and adores plants everywhere, likes painting and 3D, has played minecraft since they were 4, and also loves building with nature vibes, I'm glad I found this channel, I just gotta figure out chisel and bits now...
let me just say that this build is so detailed, and so good, that i genuinlly didnt recognize that it was a minecraft build in the thumbnail. i thought it was something straight out of the sims 4 from how smooth it looked. so props on you for that.
I love the animation of your character while narrating, it adds so much life.
Also great build
The pointy roofs also served as a way to keep deep snowfall from building up and crushing the roof.
A crucial and sometimes necessary feature in regions with heavy snow during the winter.
this gave me goosebumps, amazing build, meaningful message, and I loved the parts where you talked about the story of the house
i dont watch building minecraft stuff but at this point this isnt minecraft its insanely cool 3d pixel art XD like u basically built this whole thing bit by bit. Thats so impressive :D
I get the feeling Sniff likes Skyrim, I couldn't possibly imagine why, the music definitely gives no hints
That little end speach.... It was sad! 😢 I like your cottage! It's cute! 😊
Only found your channel a short whiles back and subbed immediately for the vibes. I can't understate how the exterior and how the interior is based off tudor design is 1 for 1 my dream home I've drawn plans for lol. Always a joy for your videos to pop up!
8:45 “What does demure mean” 😭😭
I really love how much you talked about the steps and it's just how you talked about how much you like and how you wanted to do it this video is just a master piece❤
I just checked out your farmer mods video, and tbh I got curious about your channel overall, so I clicked on this video and- WOW. Seriously, just- wow.
The details, the animations, your character moving around with ACTUAL FACIAL EXPRESSIONS- I'm OBSESSED with the little details, and this video definitely made my day
Keep up your work bc I swear I’ve never seen such quality and effort in a Minecraft video
Your videos makes me feel like am in a fairyland, cause they r just so magical and calm ,i really look forward for more of those
Movement is such a good song👀 7:42
YESS
3:23 i got so shocked bcs im playing the sims 4 rn with this video in the background LOL what a coincidence
i just came across this video, i was watching it for a while and i subscribed when you brought it up because of how hard you worked on this. such a gorgeous build!
With this detail you could turn every furniture into a full block for a mod, that way it won't take as much to load, and still get the same result
25:43 When you make a build with all your heart that lives up to it's name more than the intent behind it
9:28 Lord I know that feeling too well.
I hope you win tbh
26:32 why is this part of the video so beautiful? In a sad way.
absolutely loved this video! it’s been a while (bc of my awful attention span) that I’ve been able to just sit down and whole a video all the way there. the narrative, the personal thoughts, the actual building itself, everything worked so well to enthrall me. this felt like sitting down during the autumn cold, staring out the window dreaming of something bittersweet.
it was great to watch you have fun and build something for just yourself. and you’re so right at the end about the strange poetry of having this be unsharable, like it’s this whole, small, intimate story inaccessible to all but you.
loved this video!!
Thank you for that, have a good one
Lmk if you wanna co-lab, I don’t have a Chanel, but I’m pretty good with redstone, even in older versions
Hey! Those bedroom curtains look great
🥹
This absolutely can be my dream house. You did it so well that I took a screenshot because if I ever have a house in the future, I want it to look like this.
22:32 wow that was the most poetic ending i have ever seen
I'm new to your channel and WOW! I love the creativity and the detail you put on the build! It really sets the vibe so well! You got a new sub :D

Id love that!
4:10 THX reference 😳
18:33 manny you can do a Reno on it for a video wile telling us new viewers more about the original video/series it’s from
Love the house!
WAIT WAIT WAIT, plant GUY 20:43
It says They/she/he on her bio.
10:44 You know what would be perfect here?
American: “GARAGE”
Sniff: “GREENHOUSE”
the cottage is already very american without the garage, there really was no need for one

Cause thats how i feel sometimes.
I LOVE YOUR VOICE AND HOW YOU WORD THINGS, SNIFF ❤❤❤

Banger video as always
I like the poetic idea of it being lost. I’ve thought about a mod where if you die you spawn in a random location in Minecraft’s massive world. I know the majority would hate that, but for me it would be a kind of semi-hardcore. You lose easy access to your grand builds but for me there’s something magical about knowing they’re still out there, just really really far away, and one day you might be able to travel back
I can’t believe I’ve lived my life this long without seeing a single one of your videos!
#1. YOU ARE ADORABLE
#2. You’re so easy to listen to.
And #3. You are freaking talented as all hell! I’ve played vanilla Minecraft for over a decade and I could NEVER! You are literally like an architect but in Minecraft! You should be hired by mojang to make highly detailed maps for minigames and such!!!!
