@@kyusogakisame. Shields are insane, being able to block attacks completely is very powerful , not only for you and your health , but your armors health and durability. I can craft dozens of shields, but dozens of sets of iron armor are more expensive. Of course iron farms are a thing, but I'm talking early game when I don't have the whole "two netherite pickaxes fully enchanted one with fortune 3 and the other with silk touch inside of the ender chest inside my inventory" setup yet. A couple planks and a piece of iron and I get better damage resistance than netherite armor. I can't survive a creeper explosion unless it's "specific armor enchanted with blast resistance" but one iron and some planks and suddenly I can live through that. To be fair though, I can't walk through lava with an enchanted shield.

One of the reasons people love you so much is because of how you TALK to us, the viewers. it's way more refreshing to have a much more calm video where it's almost like a podcast with gameplay, i prefer your videos over other youtubers because you're insanely genuine with what you do, nothing's essentially scripted like every other "100 days in hardcore survival!!", where they're always over the top and super energetic, and that's good! your calm gameplay and deep talks just keeps the attention far more

1:20:33 part of it is that not everyone deserves to see you upset. To see your vulnerable side. Especially on tv. In certain situations, vulnerability is important, but in others, you have to put up a mask. Now some people it is an insecurity, but others, they’ve just learned that being vulnerable and honest to some people isn’t worth. Not everyone deserves to see all of you.

32:26 I love bundles for exploring man. It’s so nice when you have like 3 of 8 different types of seeds each taking up a lot of inventory slots, you can just shove it in a bundle, have it take up only 1, and still have room left over. I mean you even say not 5 seconds later how your inventory is so full. You could’ve shoved all that food in a bundle and freed up some inventory space.

I think an interesting thing to think about from a business perspective around series based content is retention of existing viewers vs new viewers. With a series yes it requires more investment to get into for a new viewer but then once a viewer commits they are much more invested to the series and more likely to keep coming back.
Its part of the reason why the hermits can make series content for 10+ years and pull good viewership, because they have a captive audience that they have built slowly over that time.
I think a good mix is healthy and I really like your idea to make the series very easy to get into. One thing that could be neat is a Red Dead Redemtion style journal where you go over what you did last time and include a few visuals of those things.

I can only be myself near people I really trust. So if there are people around me that I don't trust, completely, I will pretend that I am fine. 20:49 It's the 3D vines from the vanilla tweaks resource pack that's causing the lag. You can delete the 3D vines from the resource pack without needing to go to the vanilla tweaks website and select the features you want all over again by opening your resource packs folder, opening vanilla tweaks, assets, minecraft, textures, block, then finding vines and deleting it. If you'd like, you could also delete 3D glow lichen (which is found in the same spot as the vines) as that can cause some lag when in large quantities too. Hope you found this helpful!

Also, if you're tree breaks all wonky, as long as there's still leaves attached, the falling tree mod still works. Absolutely love that mod. Idgaf if people think it's cheating, it saves so much of my time and still uses the same durability on an ax as you would if done manually.
Okay sorry this is a long one 😂but I did download your Adventure+ mod and I was so frustrated I wasn't getting any XP from the trees, so TYSM!! There's also a bunch of mods on it I wouldn't use because it seems more geared towards people who make videos, and by disabling them, the textures are all wonky and fresh animations doesn't work. Idk if it's possible but if you can make one geared more towards players only without the camera mods, I'd really like that 😅

Great video! I'm also glad you're switching to more Survival stuff instead of Hardcore since the Stardew video ended prematurely haha.
I was just wondering how you were able to get the textures for stone/cobble/dirt and all to bleed into each other? Is it just with Continuity, or a resource pack on top of that? I'm using your modpack Better Adventures+ but it doesn't seem to be working for me haha

I feel like when it comes to minecraft content creators you're the first to really strike inspiration to pick up the game again and try new things and stuff. It's super cool to see, you really make minecraft seem fun and new again.

I have been trying to limit my screen time recently but always make an exception for your videos. I think that there’s nothing wrong with playing both sides, like a once a month or so do a video of large scale world that has a long series for your dedicated audience would probably drive a more dedicated fan base but also frequent videos easy for newcomers not only drives engagement, but also allows the potential for newcomers to become long term fans. Of course only if that is what you want or expect from this channel. Love the channel so far, just the “upfront-ness” is so refreshing. So many UA-camrs try to shy away from the fact that this is their job (not to get into the psychology of that) but the genuineness does not go unfelt.

I cannot express the excitement that went through me when I opened UA-cam and saw not only a *fresh* Flowstate video, but also it's *2 hours long* .
Also, I 100% support the move to regular survival. It's way less stressful to watch lol.

I had started making my own channel last year and I had begun to get the pressure of heavily editing my videos and formatting it perfectly to the standards of UA-cam, but then this video reminded me of why I had come to UA-cam, and the importance of authenticity. Your last handful of videos, along with 'Minecraft Content Needs to Change' really helped. Thanks for this clam and genuine gameplay video!

I like the idea of an episodic series with the episodes being 2-ish hours long. I personally enjoy the 2 hour videos, they are excellent to play while I work and fun to watch in general. If you do decide to start an episodic series it would be fun to watch the progression over time. All in your time of course. Amazing content once again!

I love each and every video you post. No matter the length. (the longer ones are my favorite). but no matter, its always so relaxing to watch these videos, listen to you talk about relatable topics and its even better that it isn't hardcore anymore. It brings out more opportunities with the world. Keep these videos coming and don't ever stop. This is your dream and its a hoax to ever give up on your dream. Live on brother and keep bringing out the good in people and helping others, including myself, tread on in life.

Idk why people would say “I’m so tired of you doing these survival videos over and over again”. Because you’re Flow state and that’s what flow state does. When I want to watch survival Minecraft with talking exactly how it’s been I watch flowstate. And when I want to watch something else I watch something else

Thanks for the video. Edit : About the rent stuff, Personally i live in Turkey and its quite harsh. Rents are stupidly high. Economy is crashing down with the populations happiness. It's quite hard to live in a low-middle class family like mine, but Turkey in general finds a way to still find fragments of happiness through tough times which i am amazed for it.

Was about to comment a lengthy paragraph but accidentally refreshed my page so now I cannot comment about what things were discussed. However I did want to reply about the parasocial aspect of videos and how it's great that you've set out the boundary. There are more thoughts and details I had but I won't go into detail, glad to see you considering a series though I do think it would be more for those of us who are dedicated to you or your philosophy (which is good!) whilst your singular videos are more a good way to draw in general views. I think it's hard to balance between the two things of what regular viewers want vs what casual viewers or people who aren't too invested in the channel itself want. (Though it doesn't apply to all people.)
It was nice seeing a lot of exploration and time taken in this video to enjoy being in a survival world. I certainly enjoy the chillness it brings and how it's more of a ideas and general thoughts video where you can discuss things that come up.

I love the survival idea! Maybe it isn't for everyone but I would watch them all. Also I downloaded your mod pack and found a way to deal with the extra trees that hang around after breaking the axe. Place four saplings to make a large tree immediately next to it, once the tree grows and the logs are touching, the logs count as one tree again! It'll probably still break a stone axe quickly but I got them all this way
