- We are Saying Good Bye to the Sawmill. The sawmill has built everything on the homestead. Having a sawmill is almost a necessity living off grid to create the infrastructure needed to survive and live a comfortable life. We finally have the walls completed and will be starting the foundation of the Sawmill next. Its been a long time coming but the end is in sight. Kinda sad to see the old sawmill go. Glad it’s going to a good home. I’ve been with you from the very start and seen that ole girl help you build all the projects you’ve built. Hickory has no decay resistance and bugs love it, it won't last long in the dirt. Love the channel, especially the structures.

Good morning Richard and Jennifer, you both did a fine job on this video. I am really impressed that Jennifer actually knows how to pronounce FILLIT MIG-NON, I think maybe we were in the same GRADUALAGING CLASS. The new sawmill building looks good and hope it is filled with the new Woodmizer Sawmill before long. The Old Sawmill sure did a great job for you but the new one will be easier on you to load and operate by yourself. Have fun on vacation Jennifer.
