This is EXACTLY what we need for all watches! The marketing/digital/promotional pictures from brands are seldom how dials look in real life. Thank you so much for your effort! I hope we get to see more content like this. Very helpful :)
The thing that is new and exciting about the Shades line is the colors...and you have done a great job at giving us an accurate representation of the colors! Most reviews spend too much time on other features, and don't show enough of the dial, or show it on poor lighting conditions. Thank you for such a good video!
Thank you for the effort of calibrating the cameras to get the authentic colors! Great video, the sandstone I think is the one that got my attention the most in this video since the coloring is subtle
I can't hit the like button enough for how good this episode was. Surprisingly I like the saffron the best. It flies under the radar and is best in all light.
We need more videos like this!!! Because seeing the pictures or in some room with a backdrop gives us a limited idea of how the watches look. Thank you so much.
Thank you for going the extra mile and giving us one of the most accurate look at these watches. I have see these pieces when it was being rotated through ADs and I can confirm that the video is extremely accurate and that it is not easy to represent the colours accurately. Out of all the colours, the green and gray is the best looking in real life in my opinion, but I will definitely get the red as there is nothing like it and it’s rare to have a red watch that is inoffensive and beautiful looking.
THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE.🔥🔥🔥 Thank GOD, this is THE FIRST, video review, showing ALL the colorways, IN DIFFERENT LIGHTING CONDITIONS! First time on your channel, SUBSCRIBED! Amazing Work!
Wow the colors are looking so much better now with proper filming. Thank you so much. I know what colors is best for me now! Safron is my choice the details of the dial look much better compare to all the other video on youtube. keep up the great work.
Thank you sir for your enthusiastic devotion in showing us the intricacies of these watches. Absolutely, you are the most informative. I also like how, sometimes, you let out your inner passion for the watches you reviewed. Case in point, the Speedmaster Man on the Moon video. I do not like the fact that my wife will be yelling at me for by more watches because of your videos. Much appreciated from the US.
finally Omega made a really beautiful steel bracelet, didn't like the old one, but this has to be one of the most beautiful bracelets ever! can't wait to see the green and blue one in person, could definitely be my next watch :D
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your passion with us … best in fact is to try them in real and compare the dials 1:1 in different light conditions… Please keep us posted!
@@WatchAdvisor I just picked up my new Omega Aqua Terra 38mm in the color Bay Green at the official Omega Boutique, the final step for me was that Omega added the frame around the date-window. A soon as I saw the update online I called the AD but still had to wait for today, until the first 2023 models were available. Super happy with my purchase, beautiful watch, perfect fit and a very comfortable, nice looking bracelet. This watch really shines in the sunlight!
Fantastic video as always, Alexander! Perfectly shot and edited, with your usual intelligent insights. At first, I thought I'd like the blue or green, but the saffron and, especially, the terracotta look fantastic in all lights. In the water (and I'm very jealous about your pool!), It's the terracotta for me I think!
Amazing review, thank you! Like you said, no having an on the fly adjustment is such a disappointment. If they had it, I would have bought an Aqua Terra long ago. Perhaps you can share with their design team. I'm sure the majority of people watching this review are thinking the same exact thing. Take care :)
What I would say is that the links on this bracelet are so small that it would be hard not to get a good fit. Miles better than the other aqua terra bracket
I thank you for color-calibrated the color of this vdo clip as it will be benefit to viewers to see the exact tone of each watch. I enjoy this video and watch it from the start till end. Again Thank you.
I have the 2023 Blue dial (date @ 6:00) and my wrist is about your size…16.5 cm so the 39mm Carrera is perfection for me. I still own and wear my 1969 Baylor so starting life with a Heuer and finishing with a Heuer. Great chronograph watches so I really enjoyed your review! Thanks
Hallelujah!!! At least I am not the only one. I would have bought one of these straight away if they didn't have that awful 6 O'clock date window. But that is a complete deal breaker for me.
I could easily live without as well, but Swatch Group brands tend to always sell their watches with a date window... A majority of customers still want it...
Congratulations Alexander for the good pronunciation "terracotta" I think is my favorite color even in the most difficult light conditions, it is always a pleasure to see your videos
Perfect sense to have calibrated images and different light conditions. I ordered the Terracotta in April, delivery in October. From your images, it seems a very good choice !
Thanks for sharing Alexander, I would be more than happy with any of the colours but the Terracotta would be my 1st choice if I was to consider a purchase. I've loved the Aqua Terra range for years and have an old discontinued white flat dial GMT with blue applications model that for me fills the gap for me. These all look great but I think a small lumed marker at the 6 below the date window (ideally colour matched) would be perfect.
Excellent video. I really appreciate the effort that was put into ensuring accurate color reproduction for the benefit of the viewers. If only Omega was that dedicated to delivering to their customers. And to that end, I've got a couple questions that you can pose to Greg Kissling. When Omega redesigns hardware, do they redesign with customer feedback and customer priorities in mind? If they do, why the hell would redesign the bracelet on this model Aqua Terra and NOT include micro adjustment? It's just inexcusable. Customers want it. Customers will pay for it. Not including micro adjustment made it a waste of a redesign.
Omega have just started heavily promoting these watches on social media, and they now appear to have a frame around the date window on their website!! 🎉🎉
@@WatchAdvisor Hey Alexander, do you think that OMEGA's newest development of CALIBRE 9920 will also take place in watches like the Aqua Terra and would you wait for it?
Thank you as usual Alexander for the perfect images and the super detailed review. When these first came out, I fell in love with the colors and in particular with the Saffron and I thought to sell my AQ for one of these, but in the end I changed my mind mainly for the caliber. In my AT I have the 8900 caliber that has the jumping hour features that I think is very useful and much more interesting than the quick date adjustment. A 39 mm AT with an adjustable bracelet and the 8900 caliber would be my perfect option.
This is exactly what I was looking for! My local AD don't have any in stock so couldn't see them in person but now I'm dead set on getting the saffron after watching this video.
Truly next level that you've done the calibration and excellent proof how important it is. Your previous omega AF 38mm video, the Atlantic blue was my favorite but it had a hit of green that was different from the bay green and it was what I'd choose. Now with your calibration I can see that Atlantic blue is more "dull" and not for me. Would love for more of this kind of precision! As for the watch itself, it was so close. Love everything except for the lacking in the fly ajustments. Would be curious to understand what goes into such a decision to not have it because omega 100% have the skill to make it and make one to fit the new look of the AT. If you live in any sort of place with daily temperature changes this watch will never do. You make changes all the time a heck of alot more than you'll ever make use of 150m of water resistant....kinda looses some of the versatility omega seeks

Great review as always. No one does reviews better than you! And it's a very nice watch indeed. I like the Saffron best. But with 38mm it's on the small side. Please ask Gregory if they will release 41mm versions with these dials soon.
They should arrive now in February… that’s what I heard… Blue or green? Try them on your wrist and compare them 1:1 in different light conditions and the then let your heart decide, it won’t lie…

Good morning Alexander. Thank you for another first class video. These are all wonderful watches. I just wish that Omega could combine this case and dial options with the 89XX movements, for the time zone option. I understand that this complication needs space, but surely if Tudor can produce the Pro at 39mm, Omega could too. I don't know the dimensions of the 89XX movements so I don't know what's possible here. But this case with the time zone facility would get my money... Have a good weekend everyone 😊
Welcome to Watchadvisor! Thanks for sharing your passion with us! Not sure yet? Try them on your wrist and compare them 1:1 in different light conditions… then let your heart decide, it won’t lie… Please keep us posted!
I have to agree with the critics. The dials are certainly lovely and the movement is of course superb, but they failed with the bracelet. First the polished center links are widely disliked, then there's the inexplicable lack of any adjusting mechanism, and finally Omega's pigheaded use of a 19mm lug width. But thanks for the very useful video!
I love how they didnt use the same colour as the dial for the date aperture. Using the same colour would give a feeling of some odd blank space on the dial.
Thank you for the video!! It's good to see the true colors of these watches! Pity that Omega gave up matching the date wheel color with the dial, the date frame is not as nicely finished as the former models..
Your presentation make me doubt to choose among: blue, green, silver or safron. But good job for effort to calibrate the camera to show the right colour for us. Thank you.
