- ENGINE ROOM Of Emma Maersk
Emma Maersk has the world's biggest 14 cylinder Marine Diesel Engine till date . Along with that the longest shaft tunnel !!!
No wonder she is a mighty ship & I am going to be taking you around this beautiful ship's engine room . FULL TOUR .
I know you all are really curious to see this side of the ship where the heart of Emma is situated ( Producing 96,650 Horsepower )
Also onboard we have 5 generators producing 5600 horsepower each .
Along with that a shaft generator too ;)
The name of the engine is - Wartsila Sulzer 14RT - Flex96C & legend has it that there are no more plans of making an engine bigger than this .
So you are going to witnessing something historic

Finally, you’ve showed the video that we were eagerly waiting for...thank u so much ❤️
Your welcome !!
Exciting to see that mighty engine. Great video. Thank you 👍🏅🙂
Great...being ex marine engineer....i can certify that you have more than sufficient knowledge about engine room as deck officer.
So happy to hear this . Thank you sir
Some 3rd officers may be in doubt of where the engine room is located actually :'D
Truly impressive. I saw one of the cylinders in another video and it were much higher than a man. And this engine have 14 of those. I really like that Maersk have announced they will transition to ships running on emission free green hydrogen and methanol on their future fleet.
Really love your vlog, your accent and eager way of explaining your world. Makes me happy! Thanks! :)
That engine room is truly amazing! Very informative and nice to see how clean it is kept. Thanks for sharing!
Welcome
Marvelous bro
Thank you
Waiting for your next video bro
Upload soon bro
Epaulettes on boiler suit. Seen after a long time.
You have good knowledge of engine room for a 3/O.
I also worked for mearsk long time back. On LPG vessels.
Best of luck for your future.
Thank you nikhil . Did some background research while making it
It's aways great to be topside, up on deck for the beauty of the sea and the excitement of entering new ports, but the engine room is still the most interesting part of a ship.
Absolutely on point
Karanvir, what an amazing video. Never knew there was so much involved with the ships engines etc. You certainly know your way around your ship. Love your vlogs. Thank you very much.
Thank you
Thank you for letting us see the engine thats one big thing and the spanners wow ,you are always smiling and happy

Nice video. Thanks!

I have never seen an engine with this many cylinders or horsepower in anyone else's UA-cam channel! Your are the king of the vloggers, my friend! The other ships are bulk carriers, but the vloggers are all engineers. They are first or chief engineers. I love seeing your views from the Bridge. Thank you so much, Karanvir! I love the Indian, Sri Lankin and the Philippine crews!
I am so happy to read this comment . It's my pleasure to show you the ship from my eyes !!
@@KaranvirSinghNayyar You are doing the world an amazing favor, Karanvir! I look across the bay from my house now at the Port of Oakland, California and now I think about all of the different crews that are on board all of the different kinds of ships and I wish that I could meet them all and learn about their life stories. There are container ships mostly, plus bulk, chemical and oil tankers. Thank you to all of the crews from around the world that move all of our goods and services. These You Tuber's channels allow us into your private worlds that we knew nothing about before UA-cam!
Its amazing sir
Thank you
Kudos. U are so much organised.

The engine is so powerful and such sky high torques you could chain the heaviest train locomotive up to it's fly wheel and the engine will lazily whirl it around like a hammer throw.

Holy Shit! ECR has changed completely compare to what they where in the 90s when I would sail with my dad
Definitely alot more advanced yes
Brother, please make a video on rough weather as we want to know real facts how ships actually roll and pitch and also please tell how sailors mentality change during those times.. Pls do make a realistic one...lots of love from mechon
Yes I will cover that
@@KaranvirSinghNayyar thank you sir
The ECR has become wayy morer compact compared to the older vessels! No more of huge electrical switch boards or analog control panels. Just computers 😃
Plzzz officer make a video of what are the machineries and equipments on bridge....in detail....so we marine engineers able to gain more deck machineries knowledge....🙏
I really enjoy all hour videos. The engine room tour was fascinating and awesome.
Two questions, why do you need so much electric power, with multiple generators?
What does the propeller shaft motor do? Does it slowly start the shaft turning to reduce the strain on the engine?
Thank you for really interesting videos
Regards
Chris.
Your welcome . Multiple generators are needed for the reefer capacity of the ship .
Shaft motor I will confirm from the engineers
@@KaranvirSinghNayyar
Thank you so much for you quick reply. I had not considered how many containers are refrigerated.
Wishing you calm seas and safe voyages.
I look forward to your answer on shaft motor.
Best wishes
