I've watched a few engine room tour videos, and this one was the best. Your engineers gave good explanations. And I could hear them. Much better doing the tour when the ship's main engines are shut down. Really excellent work, all three of you!
My late father would have appreciated this episode. He was a Marine Engineering Mechanic in the Royal Navy. Everything from shovelling coal to reactors in his career. The guys did great on explaining the key components of the engine room and you did an outstanding jon on the editing KSN. Greg 🇬🇧
Hello karanvir, Great video! My son also works as an engine cadet. All my relatives used to ask, what is your sons work inside ship...i don't know how to explain....but this video of yours has explained the details in a very simple manner. I have shared it with all my relatives. Thank u Karan. God bless u and take care.
Great job I was a mechanic in the US Army great job explaining the engine room and what each Personnel job was and responsibility people think these machines just move by themselves, without mechanics nothing moves on Land, Air, sea. 👍💯🙏😉
Retired Merchant Navvy engineering officer after 36 years service, the last seventeen as Chief Engineer. A very well done engine room tour by very fine officers it would have been a pleasure to sail with.
As a mechanical engineering student there was a lot to learn from this video..😍 A big thanks to KSN and both the engineers for this video and great engine tour..👍♥️
Hello karnvir, I like the way you take the initiative making such detailed and long videos during your working hours on the ship. I am a merchant Navy aspirant, and I hope you successfully become a captain and gain your first million asap for you great work!👏😊
I agree with the other positive comments and I must say, it looks like you're shooting in 4K now. And I like the interview approach and hearing your shipmates contribute.
Loved this episode, once you sign back on, could you do another "day in life of a deck cadet" video? Would be interesting to watch now that this year I'll probably join my first ship as a deck cadet 😅
Heyi karan, i was eager to watch this and i had watched it entirely KIRAN,, DHAWAN && Obviously (YOU ) the director of this have done a fabulous job bro, all the topics which i wanted to be covered The cost The working The size The parameters The safety everything The rock music behing when the machinery was showcased was amazing & IN THE END The engine time lapse have made a feel of ''Cherry on the cake'' Bless you !!!!
Very enjoyable. Good with the input from the engineers. Your videos are so much more polished now. The content is a wonderful insight into life on board. I love mechanical things. And ships engineers certainly have a very varied skill set. More so than probably any other engineer out there. You can't phone a friend in the middle of the ocean to pop round and help out. I would love to learn the workings of a big ship. But working in the engine room below deck when the engines are up and running is super noisy and super hot. And the ship is moving. Not for everyone or me. Worth the wait for this release.
Another great video! Lots of explanations! Thanks to the engineers for helping make such a great video! I really enjoyed looking at the main engine and the spare parts that are on hand for repairs!
Even I want to join in merchant navy and after watching your videos my excitement of joining in merchant Navy arises more and more,,, Great job man❤️ keep going
A very good information for engine cadets moving up to the ship for first time, knowing those locations of m/c. Very well covered. Should have included stern tube part too.
It's easy to tell which of KSN's videos I've already watched. They all have thumb ups. That's one clean and organized engine room and surrounding spaces. No doubt a well run ship.
@@KaranvirSinghNayyar I hope you have a long a happy career. On your ship and here. JeffHK whom I liked a lot has disappeared and Chief Makoi isn't putting up episodes like he used to. But the KSN channel is just as gratifying. Glad I found you!
Really enjoyed the enthusiasm of this video, great people 👍. The magic of the Workshop, very true. Thanks for sharing and stay safe all. Regards John from the UK 🇬🇧
sir thanks a lot to upload like this kind of video by seeing this video i though lot from you of Engine room. before this when i was a kid i though the ship has a fan that just run by fuel now i known about this all from you thanks a lot sir FROM INDIA
As I’ve said before the scale and complexity of each system and subsystem vital to the vessel’s daily operation is so interesting. I’m sure there are a lot of sailors who might read this and be like what’s so interesting about this. It’s only an engine room.
K I'm glad you tour each ships engine room that you are assigned. This engine room was short but very tall. Very good tour. The 3rd and cadet were great.
Aaj toh maja aa gaya, really.....after ages i felt that its my domain, my area as an engineer.....we did mechanical workshop, carpentry, generators, motors, bench vise ....really mast mast !! Thanks a ton for this engineering video.
That was really fascinating. You showed us where the ship's heart beat is...and it has so many layers!!! A mechanical engineer's paradise if you ask me!!! Towards the end there was a fresh water purifier shown. Is this the one where sea water is converted to fresh water? I would really love to see more of how it is done. Really enjoy all your videos. Never seen anything like this before. These parts are usually closed off for general public even if they happen to travel on a ship.
Thanks Karinvar. Reminded me of my passages on container ships between Europe and Australia and being shown "the bowels"the of the vessel. We were even taken to "the Citadel " in preparation for rounding the "horn of Africa" . Quite a amusing story I could tell, but not in a open forum!
It was one of the best engine room tour I have ever seen on UA-cam, but I have one request that if you can make proper videos on a each system/machinery because there are not many videos like that on UA-cam, I know that you are not from engine side but that will be very helpful for the aspiring marine engineers. Thank You
Your videos so addictive and I keep watching watching and I feel I am myself over there and forget myself and then I realise I am in office 😅BTW lots of love to you brother keep inspiring ❤️
A very interesting video it was taken so well that it kept me glued to it till the end , specially the beautiful explaination was very informative.good keep posting more
Thank you guy's , that was amazing to watch , what fascinating place , the scale of that engine is unreal and yet Karanvir you say it's small ? damn I would like to see what you think big is then .
Well done video...and yeah - engine rooms can be very noisy. Also - the coffee pot is one of the most important pieces of equipment on board...especially when working long hours. 😜👍
