    Very hard to do when your whole family flips out when you attempt to set any sort of boundaries after they have gotten used to ruling your life

    I've learned that telling people you appreciate their intentions just allows them to be more manipulative. Something like: Thank you for asking, but at this time I can't help you. I'll let you know when I'm available to help you. Or you could say: No. I won't do XYZ. Please don't ask me again. I appreciate you're a helpful person, but with that I'm not disposed to wait on you whenever you think I'm available. of course I'm going to come across as mean and offensive, but I'm not going to just let people walk all over me because they think I'm a nice person.

      I went through that with my maternal side and paternal side. It’s not hard. You just have to get sick and tired of being sick and tired, and not being able to say no or make your own choices. Is your life or something happens in your life out of your control, will they be there for you? That would be NO !
      I said that because they're only that you could control you not to support you not to be by your side, not to give you the lending ear not to show you any type of empathy or sympathy. They may curse you out and find it your fault and that will not make you feel better . Start working on that if you have to go to therapy go. What works for me? I had to detach. I wish you the best of luck. 🌹

      That statement is totally true. When I found my opportunity, I got away. Yes it took many years, but I did it.
