I was in the same boat as Ray back during Lockdown 2020.
How I discovered Elvis is on the long side so I won't bore you with that story, Miss Helene.
But yeah. Like Ray I HAD no idea what I was getting myself into. I'm not the kind of person to care about celebrities either. I could care less about celebrities.
But Elvis? Elvis is different.
I binge watched 5 documentaries about the man and his acts of generousity and his love for people and for music.
And I can't even hate on the haters. Because if it wasn't for them in the comments sections I would have never bothered to take the time to do my own independent research.
So after all of that, I have come out of that experience caring about Elvis and feeling protective of him.
Elvis is different. You just don't listen to Elvis and watch him, you are signing up for an experience every time and every time it's new.
Or at least it feels new.

I've always said Elvis is attractive to women & men (straight, gay, bi, trans), young & old, dog, cat, any mammal. When you think this is 4 years before his death and he is still looking great . This is a great blues number.
I am 60 now but it seems like yesterday when we were watching this live. We were kids so we had no idea this performance was watched by over 1 billion people that night. Never before. Never again. Only Elvis could do that.

I started to love Elvis when I was 12 years old. Here in the UK they were showing all his films and concerts around the 10th anniversary of his death 💔 All my school books where covered in pictures of Elvis along with my bedroom walls which were covered floor to ceiling in posters. I used to get the mick taken out of me but I never wavered. I’m now 47 and still adore Elvis. I’ve probably watched him preform a zillion times but I still always feel the same, mesmerised. He was so special.
