You're spot on when you say these people saying that Elvis "stole" black people's music are full of shit because they are. FACT: Nearly EVERY singer then & now has been recording other artist's songs for decades so to single out Elvis & not the rest is simply ludicrous not to mention outright hypocritical.

Elvis was my friend of 10 years. up until his death. How we met is a long story it only mattered to us no one else. I visit Graceland everyday they know me there. I get hey girl what's up i walk the grounds and visit with my friend it may be stupid to all of you that didn't know him on a personal level but i did. We will always have a connection death never kills love. i will love and miss my friend forever. We had a short conversation a few weeks before his death there were a lot of tears E. tried to comfort me he said kiddo everything will be okay but nothing will ever be okay again without my friend. If you ever get the chance to visit Graceland you should you will not be disappointed. love to you and your family from the one and only Memphis Tn.

He was the most gorgeous man ever born 😍 ❤️
He appealed to men and women alike. His voice and stage presence and charisma will never be matched, he was a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon. No one will ever come close to what Elvis was. He is greatly missed. Thank you for this reaction.

May I add, I was living during the Elvis years...from 1954 to 1977, and believe me ... he was the man and always will be, and because of his deep convictions, ...and genuine goodness toward his fellow man and vocal attributes and humbleness.

Elvis was the essence of compassion to his craft and fellow man. He is the symbol of what he was, and continues to carry that substance today. His life was of quality and performance, and continues to carry that legacy today. He wasn't just an entertainer, he is an example of what we need in this world. The question of his life style is, what he was to all of us, and may that example be to us all, and that is, no matter what nationality one is.... we are all in the world together. We are all in a world of suffering and poverty, and we all bleed the same, and I am happy Elvis was one man who realized this. We all are far from perfection, and though the rumors may say negative things about him, one thing is sure ... who in this world can say they are perfect and do no wrong. Personally, I believe Elvis was a good and decent man, and was given a God given talent that remains today. May his songs continue to comfort those who knew of him, and the negative individuals try to understand him. I would like to recommend the 1972 Elvis interview at Madison square Garden.... I believe he answered the questions we all can understand and appreciate, and know what he was all about during his short time with us. Personally, he was the ultimate performer and an example to everyone. Thank you to the person who has this channel, and gives us all a proper perspective to Elvis and who he was. Thank you also, to the person who has this site, you do a beautiful job, and thank you for sharing this truth to us all, and big shout out of gratitude who has this channel, and doing it justice about Elvis. ^5

What a great reaction. The haters are just completely ignorant and jealous. Everything Elvis covered from other artists was clearly a compliment to them. How people can’t understand that is beyond me. He is truly the greatest entertainer yesterday today and future.
First time seeing your video and I like your enthusiasm. You really should check Elvis live performance of Superstitious minds in Las Vegas 1970. It’s about 6 minutes long. Too many great videos to suggest 😊. God bless!

Fun fact. Do you know Elvis never heard how he sounded while recording until like 1970? I can't believe how well he sang and recorded with the older equipment! It's a wonder he didn't trip on the microphone cord the way he moved on stage! Can you imagine what he could've done with the wireless mics( the kind you wear) he was truly amazing. Also most artists sang from a booth to record, but Elvis refused. He always recorded right up front with the band!

Elvis recorded this one month after his separation from Priscilla became legal. They legally separated in February of 1972, he recorded this March of that year. So you can imagine the emotions it stirred up in Elvis. It has always been one of my favorites.

      is this hate or real?
Elvis started using drugs in the army back in 1958. Check this out In 1970 Elvis writes to President Nixon (the I am not a crook guy) and offers his services to help combat illicit drug use in the USA. Elvis mentioned that he knew a lot about drugs and was accepted by the hippies. He said he could go right into a group of young people or hippies and be accepted which he felt could be helpful to him in his drug drive. Nixon and Elvis exchanged pleasantries and agreed that “those who use drugs are in the vanguard of American protest.” In 1977 Elvis dies of drug overdose and drug abuse. Putting Elvis in charge of speaking on narcotic abuse is like leaving Dracula in charge of the blood bank. Hypocrisy: What is an example of hypocrisy? People who tell you not to eat candy while they chomp away on candy all day

When people say they loved Elvis, nothing could be more sincere. He was like a member of the family, impossible to explain to people who never felt this man. He was flawed, like we all are, a human being, believe it or not. He was «well intended», for lack of a better word. When he died, even non-Elvis fans felt bad. Imagine 50 superstars incorporated into one person. Then you will have some idea how his death was felt by those of us who loved him (and still do). He was the Godfather of music, humble to the core, never hurting a soul, only himself.

Elvis was a rebel. He did his own thing. Everyone was inspired by something in life and made it their own. Unfortunately Elvis never got the opportunity to travel much because he got caught up with the wrong greedy manager. If only he had gone independent. The greedy got him on drugs and destroyed him. Gone too soon. ❤

Hey! Ray I'd like to add that Elvis Presley loved soul and blue's music he even went to a all black church! The black community loved having the little white kid there because of how he reacted during the church service the way he would dance along with the music.... from then on through his life he was inspired by a lot black artists music!!!.... No matter what you hear on UA-cam or anywhere else Elvis Presley definitely was color blind he was not racist...and I must say you Ray!!! Brother Rock!!! Great videos.....

That's where his body shaking came from the black and pentecostal church he was raised in. When they feel the music,it goes through the whole body! It stayed with him his whole life. That's why he stood directly in front of the drummer, he wanted to feel the music. His singing style was what he grew up with, gospel, country and blues. Out of that came his own style. He didn't steal from anyone. Also when he wanted to record a cover song, most of the time he got permission from the original artist, unless it was very old song. Then he made it better and made it his own!❤

It’s hard to believe he remained humble, kind and ever so generous. He just handed gifts and money to strangers who needed help. He was so spiritual that the dichotomy of his life confused him. He once saw a pastor and burst into tears because he believed in God and an afterlife so much and read the Bible so often that he wrote notes in the margin. But the life he led also had so many temptations that he felt God wouldn’t forgive him for certain things. Deep inside he was such a kind man, but still a man. A human being like all of us with the same foibles and goodness & yet people sometimes took advantage of him because he seemed larger then life. Some of his friends, after his death became so depressed and devastated they had to seek help and medications. Their lives were so intertwined with his that they found it so difficult to move on. Especially since he died so young and sudden. It was almost like he became a martyr to people. He is now at peace and finally at rest. ❤

My sisters x husband went to an Elvis concert in the 70’s.
Elvis threw his belt into the audience and sissy’s X caught the belt.
When they divorced my first question was “did you get Elvis’s damn belt!!!!!”
    Nope. Nope. Nope.
    Lollll
    Anyways
As for the hater who thinks Elvis stole his talent from black people, well he is not only a hater, probably had parents who bought him up with no common sense and is most likely jealous of the extreme talent and fame GOD placed upon Elvis.

The video on there where the girls were kissing him is from The Love Me Tender live 1970 video that whole song he spent kissing the women in the audience right in front of their boyfriends and husbands. He even got off the stage and went out into the crowd and we're kissing the girls out there. A grandmother brought her granddaughter up to him and said this is my granddaughter and Elvis kissed her. I have a DVD with, like, 6 Elvis interviews, from back in the day, and in almost every one, they ask Elvis where he got his sound, and his answer was always the same.... He got it from hangin' out with the black men, on the corner, in Memphis, where he grew up, in his teens, cuz he couldn't get enough of their sound---their soul and blues.
Another favorite story of mine, was when I SAW/HEARD Michael Jackson, with my own eyes/ears say he got a couple of his dance moves from Elvis---namely, when Michael stood on his toes, like Elvis did, when he sang "Hound Dog" (the proof is right here on YT. Even his moonwalk wasn't original - again, see black man, right here, on YT, who originated it). I don't feel it's stealing when someone says exactly where they got it from---besides, I've always heard that when someone copies you, that's the sincerest form of flattery!!
Whatshisname sampled "it's a hard knocks life" (was that CeeLo Green? I can't remember)---that comes from "Annie", back in the 80s. Someone copied "Mr.and Mrs. Smith"; Chris Rock named his show, he said, because there was "Everybody Loves Raymond", so he said "Everybody Hates Chris".... Nobody had a problem with any of that---HELLO?
It makes me angry enough to spit nails, when someone calls Elvis a racist!!!

love your reactions to Elvis you prove every time what the world may have forgot, this man's impact on the world was truely incredible. We feel every word of a song he sings in our soul, his phrasing and that cry in his voice when he is telling the story just can't be matched.

It's one of my best memories to see my mom dancing in the isles screaming " Elvis"! Lol. I was only 14, God bless mom, dad and Elvis! Ty

Hey sweetheart, and Frederico, I first want to say Thank you for believing in this beautiful man of ours, Elvis was a man if all people, and like you said , their are people who hear rumors and run with them, so I appreciate you going down the rabbit hole and learning the facts . There's too much hate already in this world, we need to live as one, you are always cracking me up sweetheart,, and I think I would do like you , get an abstraction to ease the nerves. I wish you had got to see ELVIS in concert,, I saw him 3 times and the first time I was only 11 years old, and I remember that day like it was yesterday, on April 8 1972 in Knoxville Tennessee, I remember what I was wearing, the hour drive from my hometown in Greenville Tn, an hour drive that seemed to never end, but to this day it's still the best day of my life. I saw him 2 more times in concert in Atlanta Georgia, also magic, yet that first time is exactly in my mind forever. I try to keep up with your Elvis reactions, may have missed a few, but if you want to see a powerful performance by Elvis, watch Bridge over Troubled Water in 1970 and It's Over, another beautiful , powerful performance by the man who changed the world in so many ways, I course you should react to Elvis singing a Gospel song, like Where No One Stands Alone, there's a version with his daughter Lisa Marie Presley joining min virtual, she's got a great voice as well. Keep on TCb in my friend, we're all loving you and Frederico. TCB 1935🕺🕺🕺⚡⚡⚡⚡👑👑👑👑🔥🔥🔥🔥🎵🎵🎵🎵🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Elvis did not steal black music in dark days when dark skinned people were considered less, Elvis who grew up with the people of black music in the church and on the streets brought this music to the front of the world stage. His only "sin" is the fact that he is a fair-skinned guy. The authorities didn't want Elvis to sing, they replied that he was bringing destruction to the arts, etc... and degenerating the younger generation into a "bad culture" Elvis fought against everyone and continued to sing his music with the well-known footwork that made this whole package a deep voice, a handsome guy and body movements explode on stage and women just swooned over him and rightly so !!! 👑🗣🎙

      it is not his music.
in order for it to be his music.
      he must have written it.
since could not read nor write music, it will never be his music.
it will only and forever be songs people wrote for him and songs he sang.
did you learn nothing in school?

    • @SuperLiorr
      @SuperLiorr Рік тому +2

He doesn't have to write down the words to a song for it to be his music, nor does he have to be the one who organizes it. But he was definitely a partner in the creation of the music in the studio, the performance and the way the song was presented on stage, no one will take that away from him because he gave a performance!!! The best learn from their lives, you didn't learn it at school yet... 😉

El just laughs most of the way through it and uses the line, do you gaze at your bald head and wish you had hair! Youll love it.

I think that priscilla was so young and didnt understand the concept of how a star performed, and what they had to do in front of the public to keep the crowd co ming back for more, but Elvis loved her and just wanted ed her to understand him,if she could have just stood by him through all that ,and not been jealous of his profession they would have had a amazing life together but she blew it and up til his end,he was always there for her and witb her, thats true love
