For those who's asking the name of the song starting at 5:08, it's by Cody Francis - Honey Take My Hand. We use all of our songs from EpidemicSound website, unfortunately this song is not available on UA-cam.
Very nice song especially from 6:24 till 6:30. This song melody made that moment feel quite sentimental. Made me think "this is the taste of the moment"
OMG, Ive been searching for this song by listening to the lyrics and wrote in Google search engine, and nothing came out. So Ive download Shazam, lucky I found it, then i read comment, Im like wow, wasting 10 minute for nothing. I should read comment first 😂
I love Kuching, the food and the people. My wife from Kuching, my daughter born there, i even got married there. Been going to Kuching almost every year. Glad you girls enjoying and promoting it. My favourite is also soft shell crab and kolo mie. Can eat it all the time. Enjoy your time in Kuching!!!.

Hi.. Kek lapis lumut cheese in direct translation is chesse moss cake.. The green colour is the moss, in the old day we make it with tea instead of food colouring.. Yes kek lapis is originally from Indonesia.. But Indonesia kek lapis is more plains n no colour.. N some of it taste like spice.. N we are more to color and different flavours .. I mean lots lots of different flavours.. Btw my favourite topspot restaurant is ling long, number 2 from the entrance .. Much more cheaper.. Glad that both of you love kch.. Have fun n be safe.. 😘😘😘😘
I remember when Indonesian Kek Lapis were popular in Sarawak. The cake usually more dry than Sarawak's Kek Lapis. Also they tend to have strong spice taste, usually cloves taste. BTW, the cake you guys ate are Kek Lumut(Moss Cake) with cheese layer.
AlexSDU Indonesian kek lapis is the kek lapis berempah (spicy with cinnamon n cardamon).. thinly layered.. They don't have it like ours. I love kek lumut cheese though... Anything with cheese..
the reason why this is one of the best vlog is, the consistancy of the camera. not shaking too much like the other. btw, youre already in a state where there are so many spaces to work, where usually ppl around wake up as early as 4am, preparing to work, go back, have dinner with family, then sleep early at night around 9-10pm. you'll get used to it after a long time 😂 im not saying all of them, but majority of them will do the same as i said. i miss sarawak soooo much. A state where i could concentrate on my job, and responsibility to my family. 😘
Amazing video. Kuching tradisional layer cake, sightseeing kuching south and kuching north (the background music really nice relax and feel romantic), and the food Make me feel like I want to have Midin tonight. Hello both of you. Your video is getting better each time I watch it. So many informations and nice views. You helped me to "visit" my own country with your vlog. So nice. Thank you so much.
Those seafood/vege normally goes well with hot steam rice, they normally cooked in slightly heavier seasoning. What I suggest is, get know to some of your FANS from the local town, ask them out and eat with them, then you can try small portion but more variety of food yet save on budget. I am from Ipoh btw and I love seeing u gals touring around Malaysia. p/s: you have not yet try the KOLO MEE, also the famous noodle dish from Kuching next to Laksa, only if you gals take pork.
Finally you guys make it at Top spot, okay next adventure please visit to Lubuk Antu Resort , it's an jungle resort with clear water , fish , flowers, monkeys , birds ....so on . It about more than 200 kilometers from Kuching city . But on your way to Sri Aman and Lubuk Antu please drop by at Serian mini market for lunch or go to Serian water fall ( Lancan Pool) .

Perfect choice of stall (no.25) perfect perfect perfect choice of foods! Thats what i always ordered there.. midin belacan, oyster pancake, buttered prawn, salted egg crab.. shisshhh... m starvin!! Ure missing out sweet crab meat corn soup.. thats the perfect starter.. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 next time try kek lapis india! Its like the normal kek lapis but its layered with cadbury chocolate.. btw love your videos!
I loved how professional misha shoot the videos and editing it. The scene on the bot with music especially low angle on the river and behind justina facing the sunset is remarkable
Guys u should try to visit Rumah Asap Tabuan Dayak, is a place serving local authentic native foods with very reasonable price and great environment with live band singing.
So, have you already been to the Kuching Fest by now? You should try and go there (When it's not raining because the weather hasn't been the best these past few nights)
Indonesians tend to reclaim everything from indonesia.they goes crazy if they dont have it and start to claim it from indonesia.its a thing to laugh here in malaysia everytime indonesians trying to claim everything ..i mean everything 🤣🤣🤣.so we believe pizza , pan cakes, kfc etc are originated from indonesia 🤣🤣🤣
Razali Tamam yeah i know right bro . indonesian claiming everything . even kek lapis from sarawak they claimed it . and all kuih and foods from malaysia also claimed from them. dont know why their attitude just like this
It's because the majority of Malaysia & indonesia have the same ethnicity, hence we share the same culture for thousand of years, both are acknowledged as Nusantara. Can't deny the fact that there are some Indonesian that consistently trying to spark some tension between both countries but there are also Malaysian that are easily butthurt by their comments and blame the whole country, that's just wrong. It's not like it's a crisis on the national level. It's just a stupid argument to get into in the 1st place. Culture does not belong to a country it belongs to a race.
Midin is a species of fern found in Sarawak. It’s not the same as the common once back in West Malaysia; less leaves, crunchier and thicker and maybe will give you some sort of aftertaste 😬
Fact #2 is not entirely right. You can get Sarawak lek lapis here in peninsula as well. Like there’s no Sarawakian here living and working in peninsula? Come on, I bet you can get Satay Kajang there in Sarawak too. Malaysia is so diverse and we’ve come the long way since the Chinese, Indians, Arabs traders.
I had fun watching your vlog promoting of my hometown. The omelette which you had are known as "orh jien" a local hokkien dialect. There are many different types of "orh jien". You can opt for teo chew orh jien or the fried orh jien or the crispy orh jien which you guys had. My personal favourite and recommendation would be the crispy omelette. And yes.. you should visit kuching food festival. It usually coincides with the borneo world music festival. That is when kuching is at its peak with festivals, tourists , etc.. Make sure you go with extremely empty stomach coz it would be food food and more food.. cheers

Topspot has becoming a tourist eating joint (im scared it might get overrated in near future)... a good seafood for me is at Muara Tebas area(outskirt of Kuching City). try SeeGood for a change, at off Ban Hock Rd, in city area... or Rock Rd Seafood (can be a bit pricey for some)
SeeGood is actually a very good place for seafood. I like to have the "Hong Boi" there which is basically small deep fried fishes which goes very well with beer. The owner of the shop (an aunty) is hospitable too.
hey girl! Nice vlog you have here. apparently, you are enjoying sarawak so much! and it is a pleasure to us. btw may i know what song on the minute of *5.08 until then. it is really soothing yeahh .
You have to find the right spot to have a good local sarawak meal...otherwise it just not taste what you expected...some just fancy restaurant but bad meal...im sorry too tell you this..but i love my hometown
