But I’ve been looking and looking for this pattern and could never find it. And here you are, Mr. Domestic, showing us how to crochet this wonderful hat. When I need a bright spot and some silliness...and a video to watch, I turn to you. You make me laugh and smile. I crocheted a baby blanket in 1981 and then never crocheted again. My grandmother taught me that stitch! I made a blanket that is bigger than a king size bed! My grandmother didn't have that much matching yarn. So I made the blanket of many colors. You just brought back some great memories! Thank you ♥️🙏
Thanks Mr. D for such a neato beginner friendly hat. It can be used for gifts or donations for the homeless. Also your kids could make these for their friends or relatives and they'll know they have given a really great gift when they see it being worn.
Oh my goodness ive been looking for an easy enough pattern to make a hat but all i find i feel are for too advanced for me at the moment. I've done this stitch before and think the finish looks lovely so i'm definitely doing this. Thank you for sharing :D

I was just watching a girl who "van lifes" and she was showing a burning man video where she had a crochet shirt she was going to give away, but someone gave her some sort of badge for being pathetic. But, anyway she sells and gives away hats that look like yours, so I googled half double crochet back loop hats and here I am. Great fall project is what I really want to say. So, what crochet hook do you use and what type wool? I'm fairly new to crochet. I've made a couple baby blankets and tried other stuff, but I usually don't have the correct size hook or wool. I'd like to start this project right.
