My warm breath didn't work so I tried wiping it with damp microfiber cloth. I was skeptical at first but voila. My tv screen is as good as new. Thank you for sharing.
@@litofernandez7760It's pretty unanimous, everyone uses distilled water! If you had an old TV you didn't care about it as much you could certainly try that and see if it works better! Just cuz no one's tried it or doesn't talk about it doesn't mean it couldn't be even better!

I was wondering if I could just use a damp microfiber. I have been buying the Windex electronic wipes, and in my area it seems like they're getting hard to find lately. Thanks for letting me know. It will save a little money too.
When using distilled water and a microfiber cloth to clean my TV screen how do I prevent streaks? Or what would be the best way to get a streak free TV screen?
@@CleanWithConfidence I've also got streaks left over from when I tried to use an electronic screen cleaner wet wipe. Will I be able to use distilled water and a microfiber cloth to completely remove those streaks?
@@CleanWithConfidence still dirty screen, or dirty microfiber cloth. What i like to do is buying brand new ones at the dollar store, preferably the ones sealed inside a plastic package so nobody touched them prior to opening the package. Also i like separating the microfiber cloths that i use for anything in the house, and the ones i use ONLY for cleaning or dusting off screens. I bought one a few years ago with a really soft side that i use to dust off my TV and monitor screens. This is one thing i prefer on CRT TVs and monitors, it's a glass, it's very difficult to damage normally and very easy to clean, not fragile and prone to scratches like now...
I tried tap water and distilled, damp rag but it still looks dirty when it dries up. I tried drying it with a dry cloth after wiping with the damp one, but it still looks dirty when it dries.

What hurts electronics isn't the water itself. It's the minerals in the water. Distilled waterremoves the majority of these minerals by turning water into steam and then back into water. Using your breath rund the risk of getting saliva on your screen. @Junn-bi9jt
Was terrified to try the cloth/water method I thought it would leave water streaks but it’s looking brand new thanks dude

Depends on how hard the tap water is where you live. Here in Northwest Germany your screen is gonna get streaky.

Plain water doesn't work if you have a well. You'll leave water spots galore that are difficult to remove when fully dry.

This video is good, but you do not want to use tapwater because it contains base chemicals in there that can scratch your screen as well
