  • Really bad weather was forecast and we wanted to improve our day to day living.
We built a deck for our awning and start the deck of the bell tent but rain stopped play.
We finish the olive branch cutting clear up and update you on the veg bed.
It was a case of 2 decks and 2 storms !

Lots of wood for next winter. Nice work on your pallet floors.😊😊

Famous last words….’hopefully this will only be for one year’…we’ll keep watching and see. Looks very comfortable. What a great job on the awning floor.

I do say that with a touch of doubt lol. Will depend on whether we concentrate on rebuilding the right hand side of the house first or male the left hand side liveable....! Thanks for watching its much appreciated. J

Wow, that is like the weather we have in East Texas sometimes. Great job on the decking under the canopy.👍 I hope the garden survived..♥

Hi Frank. Yes the garden has survived thanks but if the plants had been bigger I think the wind would have thrown them around a lot more. Thanks for the comment. J

We are in the middle of a heatwave here in Adelaide Australia. A week of 39 - 40 degrees C. We would love a little rain - maybe not as much as you”re experiencing! I love your idea for the apple tree planters. Looking forward to those. ❤

Thanks Kathryn. Yes you've had a bizarre 12 months of fires floods and everything in between ! Hope you've not been affected. Barbara is in charge of all things garden so she will keep everyone posted ! Someone else suggested a wild beehive so that might be an option for a couple of them. Will need to research it. Thanks J

Guinness has a new comfortable astro turf shelter 👍. Bet you two slept well after levelling the ground for the pallets to put the bell tent on, hope your family member is enjoying the better weather now. Keep up the videos.

Thanks Michael. Yep was a bit of a mission to built it inbetween the storms but the tent is up and my dad arrived yesterday. His first night was comfortable! Thanks J

With some TLC, those apple tree trunk pieces would made lovely natural hives. Love your channel. I was in Central Portugal last week, and except the few sunny intervals, it was grey and cold.

Your awning looks top notch! Great idea and keeps Guinness happy, that's the main thing! Do you have to register your caravan (matriculate??) Like you do with cars in PT?

Hi, thanks for the comment. It's made a great difference for our day to day living. As for the caravan yes you do have to matriculate it if you plan to tour around with it. We won't be so it was a one way trip from the UK. It will stay on the land or if we do sell it would have to be put on a trailer to be taken on the road. J
