My Dad kept this song recorded on one of his favorite cassettes. When I was 13, we used to throw newspapers at 2 in the morning. He'd pop that cassette into the van's cassette player, and he'd sing along with the song. Rest well, Dad

That's actually a really sweet memory and story. For some reason it kinda choked me up - as this song plays. My memory of this song is riding in the back seat of my brother-in-law's car while I tagged along to ACTION PARK in Vernon Valley NJ from Long Island in this exact year it came out. Just staring out at the NJ windy woodsy scenery (creeks and lakes etc everywhere) - and some of those depressing run down small towns on the way - wondering what people did all year to entertain themselves in that environment. It seemed like this song was on a loop, and must have repeated like 4x in the various radio stations we got.

I heard this at walgreens for the first time since I was in middle school (around 25 years) I was sick as hell going through heroin withdrawals that day coming from detox, this song was playing and I heard it and I was trying to figure out who the hell this was but I was going through so much I couldn't make out the lyrics, just that distinctive guitar. Yesterday I heard it FINALLY in our showroom at work wrote down the lyrics and you tubed it. I've listened to it about 50 times since then. I haven't touched heroin since 1/26/14. This song reminds me of that horrible detox day, such a great song made a few minutes bearable.

I probably have not heard this song since then. Never realised this was Poco. 89, that short transitional era of the very late 80s to the very early 90s (92) was an interestomg era but also the end. Music really sucked after that and the radio did no better at keeping up with real musicians or continuing to play nee material from well known proven artists with the exception of last ditch attempts in 93. The next wave of artists and sound was absolute crap!!! And then came all the Rap and Grunge. Music has beem so bad for the last 25 years! Not that this song rules but there was still a decent context in which it was played and the 80s vibe was awesome!
