    GODZILLA - KING OF MUSTANGS
    This is part 2 to the 2011 Mustang going from a 5.0L Coyote to the new 7.3L GODZILLA. The engine is in the car, but we had to do some fabrication along the way. The Godzilla is another step closer to running in a street Mustang.

      You know.. I never really understood that mentality. What’s the difference between ME assembling a block with aftermarket parts.. and a licensed mechanic assembling my block with aftermarket parts? The parts are the same neither party forged them or what not, the only difference is I don’t have the experience and expertise that the mechanic has.

    • @lamboferruccio

      @@lamboferruccio that applies to both, if I have the funds I could buy any parts and put them in my car, it’s a matter of it working. That’s why the bought vs built never made sense. The parts are the same, who cares if I paid someone else to put it together because I knew I didn’t have the knowledge or ability to do what I wanted or needed. Like, not everyone can do fabrication work, or they don’t have the space or time to work on their car themselves.

      If you can't make SOMETHING, you're a waste of space... Most people contribute absolutely nothing real to the world these days. Can't even change a tire, let alone weld. For the longest time, I thought it was normal. Everybody can shoot, ride/drive, fix things. Mostly hung out with my cousins when I was younger, we all competed in everything with each other. Then, I start meeting other people, that really can't do anything. I'm like, what did you do growing up?

    Very nice work, sort of reminds me of myself. I once rebuilt a 68 Mustang hardtop 289 car and converted it to 428 Cobra jet. Even though Ford had built a car with the Big FE I didn't realize how different the factory big block cars differed from the small block car. To even attempt this is quite the job but you are getting it done and explaining it a very understandable way. Can't wait to see it run.

      @Lurchone1 3 роки тому

      Yes, been there. We pulled the 302 and dropped in a 390. I remember trying to get the engine down into the bay, onto the mounts and a friend was standing on the intake while we used pry bars between the inner fenders and the manifolds. I think the car was tweaked a little from a previous accident but it was still a tight fit. We marked the contact areas, pulled the motor back out and peened the contact areas to make a bit of room. It was fun to drive when it was finished.

      There's no Ford big block. Or small block. There are Windsors short or tall deck, Clevelands/335 series 351m and 400 tall deck cleveland, 385 series 429/460 to 514(crate and maybe some crazy Holman & Moody stuff), etc, F.E. 352 360 390 410 428 427, F.T. similar to f.e. but for trucks, 331 391, yada yada, M.E.L, Y blocks, Mods again short or tall, Coyotes, even Godzilla. But no BIG, no small. Only GM was that unimaginative, and gyp you out of displacement by underboring, so adding weight while decreasing displacement and not even tightening the package size. And some weird short deck bid blocks if memory serves, and eventually a tall deck cause they couldn't compete with the massive 385 series bore spacing, had to squeeze more cubes somewhere... Chrysler, a bit. But even they had more than just BIG small. And yeah, carcraft did the boss 9 conversions, and apparently got a sweet deal on a bunch of f.e. blocks. They're tight, but 390-428 bolt in. F.E. blocks would be more an intermediate, anyway. Best of both worlds, not as big as a 385 with big splayed valve heads, more power than lesser displacements, all else equal.
