- Welcome to Hartwick Performance!
I want to say thank you to everyone following this build! I had no idea there would be so much interest. It has really kicked off the channel and I owe it to you guys for sticking around and being patient throughout this project. It was a huge risk for us to take, but was worth it!
This is the final part for the build, but not the end for the Godzilla. Can you guess what's coming?! Make sure you comment below what you think!!! AND stay tuned for more! We have lots of plans for this mustang.

Info on the harness and tune:
On the harness I had to swap the coil plug connectors, moved the exhaust bank 1 cam position sensor to the Godzilla's front cam position sensor, and extended the knock sensors. By doing this I was able to use the factory 2011 Mustang ECU and harness.
Huge thank you to Rob Shoemaker and Mike Veisz at Palm Beach Dyno! Getting this thing started was all thanks to them. They connected with me after seeing the other videos and helped me get this thing going. I got a tune from them and they told me what I needed to do with the harness. Couldn't have done it without you guys!
Another big thanks to my friend Deric Schmelzer at Assassin'z Custom Cars! He helped make the oil cooler, the manifold flanges for the headers to weld onto, and other parts as well. Couldn't have done it without you man!

The fact that you did all of this outdoors without a lift is amazing. Dude is totally driven to accomplish what’s on his mind. Kudos.
Dude must be a marine
@@jasonm9264 lol what
@@SolarBlackShine he is actually a Marine(if I remember right) so the dude who you responded to is just joking around
@@jonnydupuis2041 ph, I thought I saw him with an Air Force uniform
@@SolarBlackShine very well could be, I know he's some sort of military
I don’t know what UA-cam algorithm brought me here today but seeing this dude knocking out this out by himself is badass AF.
You gotta check out the previous parts of the build. Really really cool stuff.
Roger that!
I'm just amazed at how much fabrication you do yourself. Really neat build
I'm amazed to find a person who don't LS swap there Mustang. Mad respect.
@@FishinWithDrey why would you want to the gen 3 coyote can make just as much
@@spankthemonkey3437 I agree. No body should be crossing streams with their rival....
@@spankthemonkey3437 thats my point, im saying im glad he didnt swap his Mustang with a LS like the other guys do. And plus the Chevy LS is more durable.
@@FishinWithDrey that is to be determined in the long run vs LS durability, the godzilla should be just as much or better
I love how you didn’t make this 50 videos long and got straight to the point. Cant wait to see more.
heck with the 7.3 build, I want that Fairlane behind it!
As someone who literally just discovered your channel yesterday, the fact pt 4 dropped the day after is a treat! Incredible how you fab everything at house. You have a grown mans candyland type of garage. Keep on doin great work bud!
Nothing better than seeing a young man tearing into something like Star Trek into places unknown way to go young man
Thank you!
My thoughts exactly.
I enjoy your content but the Godzilla vs. Kong at the end was the perfect ending of the video. I can't wait to see the side by side comparison
Short, sweet and to the point, as you stated. ^^^
You've done a lot of research to make this happen, thanks for sharing the details.
It gives us older V8 guys a breath of fresh air when young kids are out there still keeping the legends alive. Very impressive that this kid does all this himself (as well as the wife). Keep it up. I think this Godzilla is going to be around a while, what do you think?
You have great knowledge and practical skills for a young bloke. You’ve got a bright future ahead of you!
Just imagine what this guy could do with a garage and lift! 💪
No kidding!! He’d be dangerous!! I absolutely love that you and your wife are doing this together! I look forward to my wife helping me on ours. I got lucky thethe second time and found a fellow female gear head.
Imagine that 7.3 in that lightning😍
I’ve been imagining that as well 🤔
Please mail me your headers and I'll build you a custom pair fully tig welded for free.... I seriously would do it to help you out, one vet to another
Very gracious offer Chris & thank you both
for your service to your country 🍻
Class act !
🇺🇸
That was very kind of you to offer to build him a set of headers for free, I know how much work is involved ,so thank you for just being a nice guy !
nah just mig them
Dude, you're a true inspiration... all this without a huge shop and lifts... my hat is off to you man
Props man
Definition of a backyard mechanic right there
As a machinist and fabricator myself I love seeing what you’re doing in your garage. Big inspiration man! Wish I was close by, I’d face your intake adapter for you just for fun anyway, can’t wait to see where this thing goes from here!
Definitely Boss Status!!!
Pressure
Thanks man! I appreciate it a lot!
That's got a different tune to it over the 4.6 mod motor or the 5.0 coyote. Very nice!
Reminds me of my youth , they were the best of times !
Only difference is the complexity of today’s engines .
The Godzilla powered Mustang sure is pure badass.
That sounds sick! Im glad UA-cam brought me here
I want to do the EXACT same thing to my 2014 V6! Using your videos like a template, you’re doing something seriously great for the community out here
Very talented young man right there.. 👍
PUTTING THE PUSHROD BACK IN THE MUSTANG MUSCLE IS BACK love Fairlane or galaxy in the back and also the lightning
Think Godzilla will win. Awesome job. You and your lady friend. Both of you should be total proud of your work and efforts.
All that work and no left over parts. Nice.
Oh man, it's torture to wait to hear it making thunderous roar !!! Please mate, go easy on us fans and lovers!!
It’s coming along nicely.... look forward to seeing how it progresses 👍
Dude you are like a freaking genius. Don’t ever sell yourself short. Excited to see it run against Kong.
😲Wow Godzilla 💨vs. King Kong 💨🏁🚦Man I can't wait 👍 Awesome Job
I love to see people still rocking the work themselves.
Just started watching your videos. All I can say is Wow, you’ve got some incredible talent.
That Kong intro gave me legit goosebumps.....
Its seems overwhelming, the amount of work you do on your own. True car guy. Honestly I'd probably be stressing to pay someone to do this build for me because I dont know how to get this done.
you would pay 10-15k......this aint something you pay someone else to do unless you kanye
If you can get the vehicle that is over 30000 bucks, you can give 15000.
And let the other engine go for the funds.
This is a bad ass build! Can't believe you can do all that in your driveway, great work
Function not finish I give you props for a all outdoor build.
The young woman made this video all the more pleasing.
Hell of a job on this swap!
Need to dig around your channel for vids on that Fairlane now.
Of all the car channels I've been subbed to, I've been the most excited for this specific update.
Awesome, that means a lot!

I still think GM LS7 is far superior to this Godzilla engine and the GM LT1 is smaller, more easy to swap, lighter and better OHV than Fords OHVs.
What Ford should ve done is make a 6.2l DOHC 32v V8 with Di and PFi.
550-560 hp, 460-470ft pounds torque. That wus ve been amazing.. this 7.3 is neither efficient nor as powerful..
Its just a giant v8
@@1989rs500 The LS7 isn’t better. Smaller cam core (50 mm VS 60mm for Godzilla), smaller diameter lifters (lifters have always been an LS weakness), LS7 doesn’t have canted valves while Godzilla does. Oh yeah, and the LS7 can’t keep valves either.
@@1989rs500 And while I agree I would much rather Ford evolved the 6.2 Boss (which the Godzilla is loosely based on, they share bore spacing and journal diameters) into a PFI/GDI DOHC 4V aluminum block variant of 6.8-7.3 liters that would have easily dominated the naturally aspirated world it wouldn’t make much sense to build a ~700 HP high revving N/A V8 for the Super Duty which is what the Godzilla is for.
Maybe the rumored 6.8 for is a variation on the Boss instead of Godzilla, it’s feasible since they share bore spacing they can likely go down the same line for machining.
@@BC08
But reliability made 505 hp and 500 ft pounds torque and was powerful enough to even win 24 hr Le Mans.
Also even today this LS7 lives strong in Corvettes beating and hanging on with Manual 5.0s
So great the hotrodding tradition lives on even today with all the complicated systems and computers! Great work!!
Now everyone slapping “Godzilla” on every freaking build!
That’s Ford’s name for this specific motor dude.
This is awesome!! It’s nothing like saying “I built it myself”. Keep up the great work.🤘🤘
This is the ULTIMATE DRIVEWAY BUILD if I've ever seen one.....and I haven't!
I'm doing a Coyote swap into my 2003 Ford Ranger and this has given me the motivation to UA-cam it's engine swap and competitions sound quality build. I'm not bragging in any way but just to be competitive you have to buy certain speakers....my 4 front speakers total $2000 alone. So it's intense and I hope others will like it. I was not going to film it until I saw these vids.
Moving on.....(lol)....
I believe your girl friend is your camera "person". If so.....OMG!....she is so good! She follows and goes right to where we need to see. These amazing camera angles plus your very informative descriptions and explanations make me want to keep coming back for more!
You better believe I'm sharing this outta of this build in my car audio Facebook group....
"Simply Sound Quality.....SQ for Dummies!"
I'm one of the founders and I know there are so many car guys and gals on there that would receive the same contagious motivation to finish so many projects. It's kinda like this...
"Hell if he/they (GF credit lol) can do THIS, in his driveway, with minimal help and tools, and FILMING IT FOR US, then I can finish that sub enclosure or the doorpanels (aka various car audio projects)!!!"
I'm sorry this is SO long! I just felt I needed to let you know you're an asset to the DIY community in so many ways and so many platforms. I hope you are able to read this and truly feel the motivation coming from me....after 4 spinal surgeries in 4 years....3 fusions and 12 screws....4 broke last year and were replaced last August and I'm still healing. So I need to watch amazing things like this video.
Thank you!
Thank you so much!! My wife is my camera/editor lady lol! I’m glad these videos are reaching and giving others motivation to do builds. I would have never imagined getting this much support! Comments like yours keep me going man! We read this together and are truly grateful for your belief in what we are doing. We hope you are able to heal fully and keep doing what you love!
... get them video's flowing brother!!! Great work! 👍
Intelligent, inquisitive, passion, perseverance....
_I know you guys get tired of it, but thank you for serving our country..._
I'm a GM guy, but you did a kick ass job! Awesome build man. Can't wait to hear this bad boy rip!
This might be the coolest current project on UA-cam
Thank you!!
@@hartwickperformance Thank you! Takes a certain mix of skills drive investment time and desire to share to end up with something like this not to mention shared on UA-cam! Thank you! Look forward to seeing more!
You are incredibly talented at fabrication. I wouldn't consider trying any of that work. Major props for the quality of your work. God bless you & your bride.
These Godzilla swap in your driveway is awesome! You are doing an excellent job on your mustang. Can’t wait to see it up and running.
You do amazing work brother! Thanks for posting an update. 🌴☀️🍺
Thanks man! And no problem, hope to be getting more videos out faster this summer!
Haven't seen anything this cool since they announced the new bronco.
So glad it started up. I can’t wait to see this in action.
Outstanding man! So curious to see the final product and see the performance #'s on the build!
that black mustang looks and sounds just like one we have in plano illinois
Heck of a build! Good luck with wrapping it up and getting that last 80% done.
About 99% of this video was greek to me, but appreciate the skill needed to make this happen. Great job!
This thing sounds like a beats, The Big G will annihilate that other piece of ....
Great channel, awesome content 👍👍🇦🇺
simply good ole fashion hard work. great job sir.
been watching this for quite some time and so happy to see it running, this things gonna be sweet
Brother, it is fantastic to see a modern Ford pushrod in a modern Stang. Thank you for this, you bring back great memories of Fox Bodies back in the day with stroked out 302 Windsor’s, stroked out 351 Windsor’s, and the occasional psychopathic Big Block transplants.
💪😍🇺🇸🦅
What a modern boss 429 should be. 🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥
Great work and keep up the good work! Balancing a real world job, life and hobbies like this can’t be easy
how to you only have 25k Subs. I dont even know this couple but im happy for them. This Young man is taking the world by its balls
Dam sweet ride bro.... thank you for sharing with us... can't wait to see it Venomize the Demonology
Ok that end music was awesome
Man those 2011-2014 Mustangs still look the best

@@trillrifaxegrindor4411 Im an SN95 guy but nawl lol
Yea I think the same.
I like everything about the car except the rear. But with a little modding, it can look perfect.
I can't wait to see the first shakedown pass! It sure sounds pretty darn good regardless!
I like how he said the tech part is confusing. I’m confused just opening the hood of my truck! Well done
This is good stuff young man! Great inspiration for what can be done without a car lift and a big shop ! Keep the good work.
Good job 👏man......I will stay tuned 👍😉👌
There's no quit in this kid!
I had to go back to this because I’m putting a 7.3 Into my 2015 mustang gt and was running into the control pack issue😅 you rock man!
Massive props to this young man doing all of the r&d with limited resources out the gate. Sounds cherry 😎
Not a Ford guy but I approve this build lol definitely badass!
Lol tht lil villain intro to when kong arrives 🤣🤣
Great job can't wait too see it run the streets
Great update Patriot, keep em coming . . .
Great job! It’s going to be a killer ride
THAT is FANTASTIC work!!
I glad this came up on my feed. Great job man!
Love it Good job and thanks for your Service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I tripped on to this channel, and had a Deja Vu. I was in my twenties, in the navy, and my best friend had a lift just like yours in his boatyard next door. I used it to shoehorn a built 327 sbc, with an M22(couldn't afford a M21)Muncie 4sp. into a B1600Mazda pick-up. My stuff wasn't as new as yours, and didn't sound quite as nice, but really good to see people out using what they can to build something original! Super impressed, dude. Even though I worked on chevy's and had a good supply, I've always loved the 302 ford. Would've fit in the Mazda easier, being narrower, however, II used what I had, kind of what you're doing. Looking forward to finish and the Godzilla vs Kong video.
I was thinking of Gene Wilder yelling IT’S ALIVE! when you started it up. Or THE MONSTER LIVES! Nice job, glad to hear it running. 👏👏👏👏
Man's take on a home project king cobra mustang💯💯
I know where a King Cobra is. I might go have to pick it up ha!
