I’m sorry but investing our US tax money (from the bail out) in Chinese factories instead of factories in the US was what turned me against General Motors. I was 100% GM guy. Now, I drive Nissan Toyota and Subaru and I’m not looking back. And all my “Japanese” vehicles were assembled in the United States; my 2019 tundra crew max four-wheel-drive truck has more US built components than the trucks from the Detroit, three, was designed and engineered in the United States as well - and no UAW garbage labor.

I have a '93 S-10 (last year for the square body) that I bought new with 281,000 miles on it. 2.8L V6/5 speed. 2 door, 2 wheel drive, long bed.
My 04 Olds Alero is getting up there too. It has 190,000 miles on it, and has given only a few issues. Idk what gm is going throwing I4s into everything, that can’t keep up with the weight of these vehicles

I'll believe it when I see it especially the Camaro. If the only V8 Camaro will be a 80k zl1, they should not even bother. Sales will be even worse than before. Nobody wants a 4cyl. Camaro. How many people do they think can afford a ZL1.
I'm driving a 4 cylinder '23 Camaro and love it. The 6 speed probably helps.

4 cylinders don't need a turbo. Automatic transmissions are for those that are too lazy to drive and just want to go for a ride. Take the bus.
I want a 2 door, 2 wheel drive truck with a bench seat, an 8 foot bed, a NON turbo V8 engine, and a three speed OD transmission, like the 700R4. Oh, and NO software, NO WiFi connection, NO spy devices, and NO driver interference systems.

@@HamptonGuitars I agree with the ridiculous prices of a new pick up truck so, a great alternative is to watch the Mecum car auction schedule and go on the first two days. You can find a great restored 60s 70s 80s pick up truck for under $22,000. and possibly when you resell it get your money back

I used to be a big GM fan, all models are junk now.
Talk is cheap! I worked for GM for two years and they are good at saying they are going to do things. However they never get it done. Don't expect to see anything until 2030 at least.
Yeah, I remember when the CEO joined Brandon pushing Electric vehicles and they put the absurd number of these vehicles they were going to make and sale and never even came anywhere close to meeting the numbers. I have no idea why this women still have a job she should have been replaced a long time ago

My interest was only regenerated by EVs. Burning stuff is just old fashioned, or else I would be pining for the return of coal-fired locomotives.

Still driving my 2000 Camaro V6 5-speed manual. Was thinking about buying a new one but they stopped making them. If they come out with a new Camaro in 2025, I would check it out, but I’m not paying $50 or $60 grand for it.
My '23 base model Camaro with a 6 speed was $27K. Two items on it I didn't care about added $1,000 but they knocked that off.
GM continues to disrespect their customers ! Camaro buyers should wise up. GM will desert you , strand you again.

@@BoDiddlydodah American all GM 6 models what I saw give F grade, poor leaderships from GM Ceo Mary Barra in company with garbage engines that failure to 2.7 turbo engine suck just reminds me old chevrolet vega with 2.3 engine worst case, other things 2.5 turbo engine suck just show poor quality. Can understand that.
The real question is whether that Camaro will be available with a manual transmission. It's beyond sacrilege what they did to the Corvette.
NO manual is a given. Younger generations cannot understand or appreciate them. I don’t believe GM has ANY gearheads on their payroll !
No mention about fixing their V8 engine troubles. The 5.3 ltr with failing valve stem seals, or the 6.2 ltr, that shatters their rocker arm needle bearings, allowing them to float through the engine, reducing them to so much scrap metal.
6.2L eating main bearings my 24 silverado 6.2 trailboss Z71 shit the bed in may with 2207 miles on it ..seized up tighter than Biden in a press conference .been waiting for a back ordered engine since ...

@@toddprater14 Look for a reinforcing plate, for the mains, and keep it spinning. I put 869,000 kms on my 6.5 turbo. It didn't end up pulling 30,000 lbs of hogs, so it lived.😱🤣🤣🤣😎

The Volt plugin hybrid drive train should have been tweaked for pickup truck duty. 6 years ago. Instead of wasting time trying to design a battery electric pickup. A grade school kid could have told you a battery won't store the necessary energy that a pickup often needs.

Volt was one of the best cars they’ve ever made. Cancelling it was a hard blunder. They invented the PHEV and abandoned its owners.

GM still not offering a family sedan, except for the 4 door sedan pickup trucks and SUV's. It would be nice to have at least 2 out of 3 of an Impala, Malibu or Cruze equivalents.

People don't want turbo. The Honda Accord is selling poorly because it has a turbo 4, people are going for the non-turbo Civic instead. Chevy is making a mistake by going to turbo 4's.
Speak for yourself. I have several 4 cylinder turbo cars and love them. I built my first turbo car in 1976. It's the way of the future.
I'd buy a turbo Honda but refuse to purchase anything with a CVT transmission.
I, for one, can attest to that ... I just bought a Honda Civic with a 2.0L normally aspirated engine.
I wanted nothing to do with any Turbo engines.

Sudden flood of small turbocharged engines are a huge NO factor. Since I currently and proudly drive an astoundingly trouble-free small Chevy, this should trouble GM. Though 12 years old, it is a trusted coast to coast cruiser.

I have the '22 Bolt EV 2LT and love it. After 15K miles, i am just as happy now as the day I drove it home from the dealer. I love the awesome acceleration so I can maneuver thru traffic like a hot knife thru butter. I use our Cadillac XT5 SUV for trips longer than 125 miles. For less than 125 miles, the Bolt easily does the entire trip without charging. I just come back home and plug it in. I won't trade it for the PHEV because that is just dumb. I don't like going to gas stations or getting my oil changed. I just drive baby drive.
Bring back the older type vehicles, without all computer crap, i loved my 97 chevy blazer. It was a highly reliable car, easy to use 4x4 switch and was great all season.

If the people at the Chevrolet division were smart, they would bring back the C-10 pickup with no frills. They need to bring out a good, plain work truck.
The only options should be a heater, air conditioning, AM/FM radio, an automatic transmission, four wheel drive and a 3 liter V-6. The standard equipment would include cup holders, rubber floor mats, a 2 liter inline 4 engine, a floor shift five speed manual transmission, rack and pinion power steering, 17 inch steel wheels and a bench seat. It should come in only one version' standard cab only.

I welcome the Camaro back even if it is hybrid gas and electric. It's interesting how the Avalanche has returned again. Nevertheless, still no replacement seen for the departed Malibu and Impala. Both models had customers with the rental car agencies.
From a recent Tesla convert, this is a HUGE mistake. Still have my Lexus GX460, but it is really the Tesla that puts a smile on my face every time I drive it!

93 Silverado 275,000 when I sold it, 3 transmissions, one water pump to many alternators to count, one starter numerous solenoids. Guy who bought it, got
50,000 more before rebuild of engine. South Texas truck so zero rust. GM SHOULD HAVE IMPROVED THESE ITEMS, Instead they cheapend up everthing.

I think General Motors is going to do a lot better than Ford. Their cars are more attractive, and tough looking. And thank goodness the Camaro is back. Always my favorite. I wish they would bring Pontiac back so we could have the Firebird
