Considering the MVP curse it was for the better he didnt win in 09 Mahomes only MVP to win SB since 1999 (Kurt Warner) Besides Saints faced Colts in 09 Drew Brees was insane! Something like 30/39 While peyton threw the costly pick 6
Bret Favre was da real MVP of the season and I'm not a viking at fan da vikings wasn't winning before Favre got there and they started losing after him drew Brees played good but not better than Favre
2009: Peyton had no losses except when the organization stupidly sat him 2011: Aaron Rodgers had the best season of quarterbacking I've ever seen 2018: mahomes was him
@@jameswinslow8540 he was great. No doubt top 5 all time QB. But in 03, he was gifted that MVP...he had Wayne Harrison and James while Jamal Lewis and Preist Holmes had 2000 yards and carried weaker teams to division titles...back when RBs still could win MVP lol
It’s really about how the player is to the team. They take many things into consideration. The colts have sucked hard since manning and luck left. Shows how much one position can be for a whole team.

I think leading a team to Super Bowls in 10 out of 21 seasons, which averages out to going to the Super Bowl every other year, and winning 7 trumps the best season stats and winning 1 or 2 Super Bowls.
I'm not a charger fan but I loved LT he will always be my second favorite running back behind Eddie George, Eddie George wasn't as good as LT but Eddie George ran the way I would want to run the ball
That 2009 Manning comparison is a bit misleading. In the 15th game they rested their starters in the second half and in the 16th after one quarter because they started 14-0. That was probably Brees’s best chance to win it though.
brees has what i call sam howell syndrome the team is losing in all the games so they have to throw the ball every play and he ends up with a million passing yards and a 8-8 record that’s why he didn’t win mvp
God loves us all so much that he gave his perfect son to die for our sins and raised him from the grave to defeat death. Through faith in JESUS we can be saved and reconciled to GOD. please repent🙏♥️
I'm sure nobody gives a shit, but I am the exact same age as Brees. Also less interesting I was born in the city where the sheriff got most of those MVP's.
Do y’all think Drew Brees should of won MVP in 2009 (or whatever other year)?
2009, 2011, 2018
Yes and 2011. He was robbed those 2 seasons.
yes
Nope Peyton and ARod were clear MVPs he screwed himself in 2018😂

2009 a.k.a.the last time where week 17 matchups weren't against your divisional rivals.
I know I’m biased… but I will DIE on the hill of Drew Brees being the second greatest QB of all time (as of now)
Brees 100%should have won MVP in 2009

I think we all know why Manning got the edges in some MVP races....his name is Peyton Manning
Yes but peyton manning was nasty too.

For 09 it was just because Manning and Brees had similar stats but 14-0 is better than 13-2
The MVP is a popularity contest in the NFL and NBA. Brees was breaking records under the radar.

It is absolutely horrendous he never won one yet some how somebody like Dak was a runner up people really dont know real franchise changing QBs

2009 manning was 14-0 the starters didn’t play the last two regular season games.
Drew still had better numbers though

Huge Saints fan here. 2009 should have been a MVP year. 2011,Rogers had a season for the ages.
Great video
Brees is the true GOAT imo
I think it’s him or Manning tbh

MVP is be QB of the year.
Imagine saying Rivers was infinitely more valuable than Manning, at any point of their careers. Not sure there is anyone that will agree with that one

You’re completely right! I should have mentioned that as well 🫡
Nah bruh…2011 should’ve been the year but media voted Rodgers on some BS
Dude Rodgers lit 🔥 shit up that year he had to get it 🤷. How you not gone give it to someone who had a 40-11 TD to pick ratio .
Really stressing that Pay-tin
Peyton Manning has one of Drew’s MVPs… That was basically pure theft
I do not remember the Chargers beating Peyton Manning in the playoffs
Who cares now. Tom Brady ran it so there wasn't much left to go around.
Hate the way this dude says Payton and Peyton
😕

bro should have gotten mvp in ever season bro got 5000 yards
Even in 2016 when nola missed da playoffs??
2016 brees was elite just a bad def
What about Stafford then?
A lot of 5 yard checkdowns that went for 30
If you watch his career highlights, you know that's not true. In 2018... that year it definitely was
I'm sure nobody gives a shit, but I am the exact same age as Brees. Also less interesting I was born in the city where the sheriff got most of those MVP's.
He wasn’t as great as everybody made him out to be
in ALL honesty as of 12-99 i DON'T like purdue AT ALL including the elite drew brees
Brees was overrated another Eli manning
The reason is simple. He only played lights out indoors. On grass he sucked ass. Cope harder Aints.
Cry harder we have a trophy you don’t
@ a Lombardi?? Yeah we have two and didn’t have to take out players on purpose to get them
