Joe is Elite in every way that matters. His ball placement, his anticipation, his game knowledge, and his toughness are things that QBs in their mid 30s don't even have down to the level he has shown.

Burrow went to two AFC championship games. Bengals were trash the years before Joe B got there. Cincinnati is my hometown so I know how hard it is to win there with that ownership. If Joe B were with a more stable franchise, more seasoned coaching and a better defense no doubt he would have an even better record. He is literally saving the Bengals from themselves. Will miss playoffs this year, but he will be back in short order. So no, it wasn’t just one year.

QBs should have their own award at this point. The last MVP that was not a QB was 2012 RB AP. There are tons of great talent that impact a teams success and winning culture outside of the QB who touches the ball every offensive play.

Dak beat 1 team with a winning record all season and piled up numbers vs bad teams. Similarly, Joe Burrow has beat 1 team with a winning record. Joe is Elite in every way that matters. @nicolaswalsh5651 Last year, Lamar Jackson won MVP because he played the hardest schedule in NFL history and ended the season with the best record in the NFL. The Ravens played 14 games against an opponent that was .500 or better. They won 10 of them.
The reason they gave it to Lamar was because it was clear that the guy with the stats, Dak, had those stats due to a significantly weaker schedule. Dak beat 1 team with a winning record all season and piled up numbers vs bad teams.
Similarly, Joe Burrow has beat 1 team with a winning record. While Lamar has played the 4th hardest schedule in the NFL this season. Allen's schedule is 21st hardest.
Dom case for Lamar is he could have 0 turnovers this year while also acknowledging he has turnovers the other team should’ve had. So you can subtract but can’t add to try and build him up
