Genetic testing revealed my daughter has a snip variant to a gene that metabolizes choline. She has had focus and memory issues and was diagnosed ADD before we knew about the genetic factor. Supplementing with choline has been a game changer for her. We haven’t found the right amount yet, but keep trying.
The "Average" diet of most non-vegans is probably a lot worse than someone who has decided to adopt a plant based diet and done some research into it. Most folk live on ready meals and junk food. Meat vs Vegan is not the issue, eating healthy natural food is, regardless of it being either animal or vegetable.
While there are a lot of foods that vegans regularly eat that contain choline, those foods are relatively low in it, so vegans do have to be careful to eat enough.
Yes individual plant sources are lower in choline but we eat so many of those sources, we get enough from our diet. Choline deficiency is not documented in significant numbers in vegan people. Most doctors have never had a patient who was “choline deficient” and even people who eat animals typically fall below the recommended daily amounts because those amounts are based on insufficient experiments in a laboratory, so technically, there really isn’t even a concrete daily value, but those who know not how to vegan won’t tell you that part. Lol. We’re fine. I think the more pressing concern is meat eaters not getting enough fruits, vegetables, and microbial variety for the proper function of the gut. 🤷🏾♀️😉🍎🍑🍏🫑❤️
There are some reasonable vegan sources of choline: soybeans (214mg per cup), wheat germ (153mg per 3 ounces), soy milk (57mg per cup), broccoli (62mg per cup), cauliflower (50mg per cup), red potatoes (50mg per cup), peanuts (48mg per 0.5 cup), and asparagus (47mg per cup), collard greens (73mg per cup). Although some of these foods are light, they are low in calories. So, it wouldn't hurt to consume a sufficient amount. If you eat enough whole foods you're likely meeting your daily needs of choline. However, the problem is that most people do not consume enough whole foods these day.
Peanut Butter provides about 11mg of Choline per 2 tbs. that's 188 calories. We need 450mg per day so in order to get that from Peanut Butter we'd need to consume 40.9 servings which comes out to over 7000 calories! Obviously no one will eat only peanut butter, they'll eat other foods too, but you claim peanut butter is high in Choline. It is very low in Choline in fact. So far I haven't been able to design a vegan diet that supplies anywhere close to adequate Choline.
It feels like you are repeating yourself a lot, saying the same things in Diff. ways. I don't know if its because of some monetary thing , you need to make video 10 min. Nothing wrong in making a 10 min. video if you offer new info. This is just how i felt watching it. keep up the good work

don't think it's cleared up just yet. So far the only vegan source of adequate Choline I've found is Quinoa, and it will require 10 cups of cooked Quinoa to provide the recommended daily amount of 400mg. that 10 cups of Quinoa will supply 2200 calories which for me is too much. I plan to keep researching but Peanut Butter happens to be low in choline 11mg per 188 calorie serving means I'd have to eat 40 servings over 7000 calories to get my daily Choline.

the vocal fry makes this impossible to listen to. aaargh.
Sunflower lecithin in liquid form is great on salads, also available in capsules, highest source of Choline. There is soy Lecithin too but it's from GMO soy unless labeled as USDA Organic soy.
80% soy production is GMO soy and is fed to animals. the rest of soy is not GMO ,soy and not fed to humans. So stop worrying

Please don't say its a good source if it has less has 10mg of choline, that's like 3% of the recommended intake.
GREAT INFO, really needed to know. Thank You Amazing Channel LIVEKINDLY. I don't take supplements, I am going very good with Plant-based Diet and with vegan channels every day I know better how to be healthier and why, through natural food Plant-Based, the vitamin 12 I take it from the tap water, anyway I cannot keep water because house companies here poison it when I keep it for later.
Wow, do you really have to draw out every single word when you speak? Very difficult to listen to.
Exactly. It's unbearable to listen to people talking like this. So fake and stupid.
1 If you all haven't seen a documentary called.... Its worse than you think... By revelations of Jesus Christ ministries... I suggest you do... All praise and glory to the most high Jesus Christ
Peanut butter is versatile
choline help in brain
Whoever is behind this should not be making videos about health, because apparently they don't have a 3rd grade understanding of math. After filling the video with stock footage, they claim you don't need a supplement then say you can eat peanut butter sandwiches and get 11mg of choline. Tiny problem: you need 500 per day. So thanks for coming to get your brain and liver saving health advice, and have fun eating 50 peanut butter sandwiches a day. (Authors: please see Hippocrates' 1st commandment: do no harm.)
Dietary recommendation.
wait wait wait breastfeeding adult men?.. did i really hear that right?..
Stock footage much? ugh...
Oh that vocal fry is awful, I can’t listen to her fake voice. Ughhhh

Get to the foods, too long with the medical science.
To fix liver eat liver 😅
Eggs. So much you can do with them and the animal doesn't have to die for you to be able to eat them!

Best sources of choline are beef liver and egg yolk.
