    Hoping to shoot tomorrow 🙏. We had white stuff 3 days ago & it really dropped the temps. Tried to warm up today but the wind cuts right through u. Yesterday our high under 🌞 skies was 20* F under freezing 🥶 !
    In 18 hours on our Sunday I'm looking forward to shooting my Nika ET-12/C1 Cornerstone setup with those Pinals Archery arrows. Yesterday my Pandarus Icepoint arrows with 1.75" vanes & 100 gr points showed up all installed @ full length. B4 i goto sleep tonight i will try to remove the points so i can cut down the arrows. That will be after I put together my new arrow cutter. My next dozen of Pandarus arrows r coming hopefully in another week but these r being sent as bare shafts with the vanes & points coming in a bag. I am looking forward to those 3 different size points that im getting a 24 pack of. By then I should have a good idea on what point weight these arrows need to be for the C1 as well as the N3 limbs which r @ 44 lbs @ 68".😮🎉
    Keep the great videos going. Your production value is top notch. It would be nice to see if some of the guys on TradTalk that know of u r seeing the content u r producing. I guess time will yell. Take care.🎉

      Cheers Joseph. Lots going on. Sounds like you are getting your equipment setup. 2 degrees Celsius was cold for me. In fact, my body didn't like it, and my shot routine went to pot. Still got a gold and Silver medal for the competition.

      @@brookvalleylife724 I heard about that I think a few days ago. Did u do better on the short targets or did u have an advantage over the others on the long ones? I've realized that on 40*F days that r sunny that I can shoot OK. But if it's 37* F with a dewpoint of 14* that I struggle which is part to not shooting enough & my left shoulder collapse in the cold. I would rather stay positive & not wreck my form. 'Live to play another day' is my motto. Another good one us 'setting myself up for success. '😜

      @@josephtreadlightly5686 I did better on the short distance, however looking at how I was shooting (got a video of it) it looked bad.. My bad shoots hit the 10 and y "good " shots hit 8 and 9????? I go on the Ted Lasso saying "Be a goldfish" 🤣 As I said I think the teps on the day didn't help but it coes down to technique which I a working on to make a better shot.

      @@brookvalleylife724 it's tough in the cold. Now that I'm a day younger than the Superbowl I've noticed the last couple of years that humidity isn't relative. Just like organic is to natural. Natural is real & organic is a corporate buzzword. We had several days with a below ZERO F dewpoint in January this year when the temp never got below ZERO. But I've had many days in January with overcast skies with a dewpoint like @ 33* out ice fishing over the years when it felt very warm, especially when the barometer was dropping & the snow starting falling. I'm no 'Goldfish' but a fish in the weather under 2 feet of ice is much different when the conditions change & the barometer risers. When that barometer rises I've seen it go up 20 points in 10 minutes which is usually a wind direction change & it's effect on is that the fish usually go into a coma for 48 hours. That's how I feel about weather. The temp & dewpoint is all that matters. It's very similar to how my body reacts to cold weather. If the temp is 35* with the dewpoint much below that I'm better off laying in bed.

    That
    ToPoint Unison
    is one sexy looking bow. Hands down better than the first two bows reviewed.

    I much prefer
    [so-called] semi hooded
    limb pockets on ILF risers.

    • @Australian_Made
      @Australian_Made 6 місяців тому

      ... for me,
      it's about the look
      ( not actually about the function
      of the limb pockets, per se )

      I put a great black sweatband for helmet wearers DIY into my limb pockets. It's made by a European company called Optrel. But the headband like everything else it's made in China. They come in a set of 2 in a pack. You take one & cut both ends. Then u carefully cut a half moon out on each end & install the half moon where it slides on where your limb bolts are. It's a custom fit on my Nika C1 & N3 limbs. With my new gray Nika ET-12 they fit into the limb pocket perfectly. I keep them snugly attached to the limbs when I don't have the limbs on a riser. The Optrel model # is 5004.073.🎉

    I just sus'ed out my Kinetic Heat Riser
    and it has a Made In China sticker,
    So when Kinetic commissioned Win&Win to fabricate it, Win&Win commissioned A CHINESE factory to fabricate it.
    Win&Win definitely get CHINA to do much of their manufacturing.
    So do Hoyt / So do Easton.
    ( China has a severe LACK OF employee's safe working conditions, compared to USA and EVEN Korea TOOO ).

    • @Australian_Made
      @Australian_Made 6 місяців тому

      There are Chinese factory owners who are WILLING to accept the manufacturing jobs
      which USA and Korean working conditions and rights and protections
      would NEVER tolerate in their own countries.

    • @brookvalleylife724
      @brookvalleylife724  6 місяців тому +1

      I believe that WIN&WIN and possibly Fivics both only produce their top end equipment in Korea. Everything else in China. I checked out Elong?Nik'a manufacturing and they are getting new equipment and have a small but very good set up (safe too). As for the others, I cannot say but some companies are looking after their employees.

    Good review thanks. I do not like that finish on the riser as it reflects the light all over the place.I accept the chinese gear has improved but frankly would still not buy any of it for a lot of reasons. No backup ,quaility of finish and frankly no intention of helping there economy when home land should be the one that benefits.

      Not only has the Chinese improved their equipment, they produce a lot of goods for the big name brands. The big names are producing their top end stuff in house still but are still making a lot of money by getting stuff built cheap in China and selling at one hell of a profit. For me, I will take the budget option that works just as well. This might piss some people off but in a place where we already have to pay extortionate amounts for shipping, and wages are not that high, any saving is worth having. If we want to expand the sport then everything needs to be available to everyone. Archery is a whole world thing. And yes there are other reasons that will stop you buying from certain places, but that is a personal thing and up to the individual. Just to let you know I am ex-military and know very well what certain places around the world are up to.

      @@elizabethfiorella4109 Yep the riser does look great in this colour. Just wish that the limb pockets were not open, as I prefer the "hooded pockets, buts that's just me and it does make the riser lighter the way it is.
