It was good idea for me to start GAMMA shortly before they released this update.... my luck. Hope they fixed artifacts durability (and maybe busyhands bug when charging artifact melter) because some of them - like Wretched - annoyed me immensly while making Compass.
The **New addons** 10 - 9x39... & 15 - ylyxa's... are pretty cool!
AMB-17 is a killer machine, love it. I even hope that AM-17(5.45x39) would be added in the future with option to suppress it.
I need addon where you can fold and unfold the foregrips when you press the underbarrel button for the weapons that have the foldable foregrips. For example MP7 & SR-3M.
I want so bad a SR-3MP variant in the game!
Very good and welcome game development. My take on the LMG ammo is that.. if you craft boxes of 30 by using 10 casings.. if you disassemble the boxes of 30 do you generate casings?
I think the amount of powder, bullets and casings you get from breaking down ammo are RNG based.
I'm pretty sure it's RNG based on the total in the crafting recipe, so say a recipe takes 10 casings for 10 bullets then disassembling 10 bullets can give you anywhere between 1 and 10 casings depending on RNG and maybe perks from that disassembly achievement that raise the baseline chance
I cant find the new rifles and lmgs in the debug menu can someone explain if thats a glitch or something also same with the furniture mod
I have a weird gray tint after installing the latest update. Any ideas how to remove it?

I think the ADAR is going to be a big change to the early game if you can get one. Having a “B” Type repair kit, 30 round semi-auto rifle in an available, capable caliber (especially if you can score an early gunsmith kit), and that can mount a good variety of magnified optics will almost certainly help tip the balance of power to the player.

Question for y'all, how big of a difference does it make for gamma to be on an ssd vs hdd
it's really just load times when moving between maps, if you don't mind waiting the a HDD is fine, and that's a general rule for all but the most modern and poorly optimized AAA games like starfield cyberpunk and the new Alan Wake game

In vannila anomaly with bas MG ammo cheap and easy traide on Yantar.And so PK/PkM absolute fire power.
With this patch I got a massive fps increase. Normally I'm around 60-70 and sometimes it goes as low as 45, but I got what looks to be an average of an extra 30 fps on top of my normal almost everywhere I've gone so far.
On an unrelated note. To this day I'm not a fan of how much resources it takes to craft ammo. The amount of casings and bullet tips you use on every recipe should be normalized so that the resources you put in match what comes out. None of this 30 casings for 13 bullets and other such nonsense. Powder amounts I think are fine, if you are making stronger ammo it's reasonable to take into account that you're packing more powder into the case. I wish I knew how to change this on my own because I would, but I don't know where I'd find the file where this data is kept.
Agreed on this. I hope someone does a proper addon for ammo crafting as this one is really bad right now. In my 300ish hours of playthroughs I can't remember when I used full auto since looting 50 bodies gives you 40 bullets and crafts you 60
Grok optimized a lot of the BaS guns that had way too demanding textures, which caused stalkers that carried them to massively tank fps, specially in areas like Rostok with a lot of stalkers in them!
@@doublet3n672I've been following the development of this update because many changes were really exciting so I thought I could add to your comment: it wasn't Grok who optimized the guns, it was a developer that recently started helping with GAMMA called Burn. He did optimize textures aswell but he mainly optimized the models, as the old Xray game engine is not supposed to handle high polycounts. BaS weapons were optimized aswell, but guns with models brought over from EFT were the ones with the most performance impact, as EFT has extremely detailed weapons and so a lot of triangles. And lastly, the latest SSS update allowed GAMMA to not need reshaders, while looking and performing better than before.

With a gun smithing kit, I never ran out of ammo with the lmg M249 in 5.56, I gave Hip the pkm and we were unstoppable
5.56 tends to be the most abundant late game rifle round by far, monolith always use G36s and M4s in my experience
maybe someone fortunate enough to upgrade their mosin to be able to use pp ammo will benefit from that upgrade.
Does anyone know how to have continous laugh/excited animations when applying a new scope on a new rifle?

LMGs kinda suck in FPS games in general. Even in Tarkov, it's a meme weapon. It's super heavy, super inaccurate, they waste good ammo and the fire rate is nothing compared to modern smgs.
After this update, NPCs weapons are floathing above their hands. Do anyone have this issue?

My damn instance disappeared after my game updated now I keep getting fatal error
Has anyone been having a ridiculous amount of crashes (maybe) since the new update? Could just be me and my ancient pc but its been a little over a year since i last played gamma and i never crashed then, now im crashing atleast once every 30 minutes. (No problem with the install, followed the discord guild to the T) also not looking for a fix which is why im not asking in the discord, just wondering if others are having issues. Not looking for a fix because ill be getting a new pc soon so if its just me, and i assume is, its because my almost 10 year old pc thats in the process of dying

You have to update the launcher to 6.0 and then download the update
I hate with a passion how the upgraded fully val is more accurate than the VSS it makes no sense. Rd 9x39 saying it’s enhanced perfectly machined, less accurate than the val 😭

Fun fact.. this update broke the game :/
did a regular update, tried to run the game and it just crashed to desktop countless times, without giving me any error.
Deleted Anomaly and Gamma, did a fresh install and again, just crashes to desktop (and yes, I am talking about vanilla run, no added mods besides the ones already contained in GAMMA, no additional mods enabled besides the ones enabled by default after the installation).
Anyone else has this issue or knows how to fix it?

You need to unlock the run via an armour upgrade

Nosorogs get a sprint option under the last upgrade tree iirc, which uses the Utility kits

new bloodsucker model is kinda cringe. Looks like a model from some cheap asset-flip 5$ game.
PKM are anything but worthless. That SVU is pretty, yes. But it eats expensive ammo with really low capacity magazine and shit ROF. What are you gonna do if you get pushed by bunch of Monos in exos etc.? You are quite literally fucked.
PKM on other hand eats ammo that is cheap as fuck to make, drops anyone in around 2-4 shots to torso AND YOU HAVE HUNDRED ROUNDS IN MAG. You dont have to be afraid to push, ever. Not even Nosorog will stand in front of it and literally dont melt.
The only downside is the retarded gun parts mechanics not being made for guns that shoot alot because you will notice that after mag or two your parts are all down like 10% each.

please remove the furry/alien for most of the video, me and several others find it pretty annoying and distracting. Use it sometime and more subtly like when ur saying something directly to the viewer but not while generally going over things or info :)
