I agree I'm so sick of soil that I started transitioning my plants to just nutrient water and I'm in love. Idk why I didn't do this sooner! It's just so easy to take care of my plants now. Also it's actually really easy to clean moss you just boil water and put the water in a bowl with the moss and let it sit in the hot water for a bit and then you have clean moss ready for the next plant 😀
Hi, I have 5 ficus plants, 2 ruby red, 3 ficus tineke. Yours is a tineke. I let mine almost dry right out and keep them in a south facing window right next to the window. They seem to grow pretty fast. I didn’t get any plant chores done while watching your video but I didn’t manage to roll up some joints🤗😊 I love your plants 💗
I so wish I had a south window! I feel like they need really strong light to thrive ugh. But thank you so much for the advance! And haha that's hilarious 😂💨
Unless the plant is a rescue that needs every leaf it can get lol, I prune ugly or dying leaves. I didn’t when I started out, but now I very much invested in my plants being aesthetically pleasing, as long as their health isn’t jeopardized. (I just removed 10 leaves off of a large Peperomia this morning).
Don't mind me just bingeing all your old videos. I got a tineke ficus recently and I find the leaves will get soft when it needs water. I water when the bottom few leaves get soft. 😁
Totally love those kinds of shows, but WOULD NEVER go on one of them. I would be too terrified of how I would be portrayed. What did you think about Iyanna and Jarrette?
Right!! I feel like they only show such a small portion of what actually happens. I think they're cute buuuut I know I could never get over being a second choice!
I have a Ficus Lyrata (Fiddle leaf Fig) and surprisingly, she is doing amazing. Going strong for 3 yrs. now. I keep her in my east facing window. Oh, and I had a Ficus Benjamina (sp?) and she did great too. All over the house actually. Never had issues with humidity and never put them in my Milsbo, I didn't need too. I killed her because I forgot her on my back porch when winter came :( ugh. But anyhow, I know they can be a bit finicky, so I think I got good, strong, genetics. That makes a big difference. Ok, thanks for the video. I love watching! You're great!
I've heard they're tricky so I've always been too scared to try one out, but that's amazing that yours has been doing so well for so long! And thank you for watching 💚
Ah I know 😭 Basically I filmed three videos on a day when my mic decided not to work, but this was the last one I was going to post, the audio should definitely be better going forward!

Right! Soil makes everything so much harder and more messy 😂 And okay that doesn't seem too bad, I think I'll try that next time!
Ironically I repotted my compacta while watching this video lol
Haha that's so perfect!

Haha yeah we're definitely on the same page with that! As long as it won't hurt the plant I'm pretty quick in chopping ugly leaves off 😂

I wanted to repot some plants but I thought the rule was to wait until spring. Should I wait?
Execelent job
Thank you!!
My tineke just put out a new leaf but the plant as a whole is very tiny
It'll get there one day!!
i would enjoy your videos so much more if your audio was better
