She lived out loud, a life more exciting than many of us combined. Sad that she's gone, but what a bad ass way to exit.
It has taken me some time to post this.. I met her and hung out a couple times, while she filmed MB... she was such a great lady. I only knew her as a friend during the time of filming MB or speed fan but just a fan... Let me tell you this.she was fearsome and she was someone I trusted.. I still miss her today. (she is the only real famous person I knew) and I am humbled... Damn gal I miss ya.
I know your words can't begin to truly describe the magnitude of what being in her presence was like
Tragic. My hubby met her before and was bummed when we found out. So sad.:( When you live a life you love, and one that could be dangerous, this is prob always in the back of your mind. Just never know. Heart goes out to her family and friends. Losing someone you love is guy wrenchingly hard. 🌺🌺🌺
How the fuck is it tragic? Its insanely dangerous. Kids getting shot in drive bys are tragic.
juggalohunter100 losing a loved one is tragic. Not hard to understand.
@@Raphsody86 either these people are 12 years old, have been lucky enough not to have any tragedy happen to them so they cant relate, or are just flat out autistic.
of course its sad
I bet he was. People describe her energy as electric. She was like a little electron in human form. Non-fast was not natural her.
@@Mad_Axe_Man125I love how everyone just ignored you 😂
We all die, but not all of us live. She lived.... to the fullest.
Doing what she truly loved. May we all be so lucky.
RIP JESSE, YOU WILL BE MISSED,AND FOREVER A GREAT ROLL MODEL,WE LOVE YOU
A great role model? Yes, all little girls should drive recklessly and die before 40, brilliant. How about getting married and having a family and die around 90...
@@america1st721 how prescriptive...
Mentally ill people are not role models!!
I am sad. Jesse was such an inspiration to me. I remember her from when she worked on Overhaulin' with Chip Foose. She was a goal-driven, passionate woman in the Hot Rod Family.
Wtffff?!?! I would watch her every Sunday fixing up a car no way unbelievable dam RIP
I don't know this Oregon site but once drove across the Bonneville Salt Flats (on the Utah/Nevada border), where many land speed records have been set. What amazed me was how rough a surface it was - I was bouncing around at 50mph in a regular SUV and would not have wanted to go any faster for fear of losing control. I cannot imagine what it must be like to go multiple times faster on such a surface. It must take a very special person. RIP Jessi. You will be hugely missed but at least you did get to do what you loved doing, during a too short a life.
Arizona.
Rest easy, Jess. You Will Be Missed.
This is so sad!! My teacher showed my class the whole documentary where she was trying to beat the record it’s so sad she passed away however I’m so happy she was able to break the record
I have watch Jessie sent her days on extreme 4 x 4 this news is extremely tragic my prayers and thoughts go out to her friends and family members
at the end of the day its just a number which most will forget in a few hours. the family, the loved one's, the fans & all the rest much rather have you alive & healthy smiling that beautiful smile. it's just not worth it!
Yeah like they forgot how Jessica Dubroff died 4-13-1996 with pilot instructor and her father in a plane crash, and how no one remembers Chuck Yeager was first guy to successfully fly a jet plane faster than the speed of sound. Oh wait some people do remember.
@@hydrolito any of it worth a life? Amelia Earhart is remembered too but not for successfully circling the globe. she's remembered for trying. again, wasn't worth it.

I am sorry. I offer my condolences to the family. I follow her. She new about cars and jets and all the dangers involved. The automobile industry lost a talented young lady
she lived her life to the fullest and she died doing what she loved ... As for me .. Nah I'm good rather stayed at home don't need that rush of adrenaline

Ever notice that the first people to ridicule people that die taking risks, are people who stay indoors and never take risks?
It's ridiculous isn't it? Someone's daughter, sibling, and partner just lost their life. I wonder how these folks would feel is people were so cavalier with their passing.
When it involves your life it's different..
Ever watched someone die of cancer? Never getting off the couch doesn't guarantee a painless death.

Richard, I don’t think you have anything to worry about. You know, the caring part.

How devastating!! At least she went out doing something she loved❤️
hmm, but would you say the same about heroin addicts? they died doing what they loved
1StrokeBust that’s fucked up man
that's about a load of crap.
Yep that makes it all worth while, here family just needs to deal with the fact and be happy knowing she died doing what she loved doing.
@@gayhitler9900 What's f'd up is the aftermath the family has to deal with as a result of her addiction to danger and speed. Is what it is and sometimes the truth is jacked up and hard for others to fathom. is what it is.
I never heard of her before this story broke. She was doing something she loved. Rest in Peace. I'll be 59 a week from today. My life hasn't had all of the excitement hers had but I have enjoyed it, nonetheless. I can honestly say that I would rather be here at 59 reflecting on the last twenty years than have died at 39. I hope she is looking down feeling as though it was worth it.
RIP Jesse you will be missed from Canada you have a lot of guts girl
Oh my, I was just watching an old rerun of Chip Foose's Overhaulin with Jessi in it. She had always been my favoite girl on the various car shows she was in and I went to look for "whats she doing now". I had never heard about her crash and death and was shocked to find this.
RIP Jessi, you were the best of the best in your league and died doing what you love. Thanks for the memories.
Sal
My emotions are everywhere with her. It was in her brain. You could tell she couldn't stop even of she didn't want to. She couldn't live without that fix. And I know the emotional toll her lifestyle took on her mom took a toll on her. What a case study. Such a beautiful being. May her memory live on.
I loved Jesse since she first started on the 4x4 show, smart, good host!
Drive like lightening, they say you crash like thunder.
The first time I saw this car I felt it was repurposed baddly as it was originally a Starfighter and had no escape capsule that most every other fabricator has gone to with land speed record cars. This car was a deathtrap from the start. Serval things were inaccurate in the report as this was testing and not a sanctioned drive...
Any video of the crash?
Tragic loss😢
Not really. She brought that shit on her-self....
I respectfully disagree, Firefighters, Law Enforcement, All Branches of Military..... 🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒

I'M NOT SO SURE HAVING A RECORD FOR THE FASTEST SPEED AND LOSING YOUR LIFE IS WORTH IT. WHERE IS EVERYONE GOOD SO FAST ??????? RIP JESSI.
Greg Gallacci hey poopbut, this isn't about Everest!
Sorry for the loss. Jesse was a cool young lady. I loved her on overhauling. I am sure she inspired a lot of people.
I am very sorry to hear about her loss. I understand that a mechanical malfunction caused the crash, not something she did. I have a slogan that I live under “ You measure life in depth, not length.” She lived life to the fullest and my prayers go with her.

She was such an amazing person and she will be missed.
Nothing amazing about her.

I want to see the death video. Does anyone have a link?
I’m fascinated by it.
That's a young age to go but she did more in her short life than any of us will ever do!!
Wait what? There's a lot of people to open their home to children that aren't even theirs don't get me wrong it said that she's gone but she only drove fast how's that accomplishing more than what they did
@@briandelgado9866 Exactly
Waste a life for driving a machine fast? Nuts
4-13-1996 Jessica Dubroff 7 year old with instructor pilot and father take off from Cheyenne, Wyoming in over loaded plane and rain possibly ice on plane that was said to be 96 pounds over loaded taking off from high elevation about a half mile from take off plane crashed and all on board died, just past a farm house.
Why do they keep calling that a Car!
NoHeater because “jet” car....
Bc that's what it is, the power train is only difference. Jus bc it's shaped wierd doesn't mean it isn't a car... So bc Ferrari's and lambo's look wierd means they aren't cars? It's got 4 wheels, a steering wheel, brakes, windshields seems like a car to me just a really fast one
I don't know why Jessi's death has had such an affect on me? But I think her infectious personality shone through! TOTALLY GENUINE AND PASSIONATE! SHE CHASED A GOAL THAT TOOK IT'S TOLL! SAD FOR SUCH A SHINING STAR! R.I.P. JESSI! MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU, AND THOSE CLOSE TO YOU! I KNOW LOSS IS HARD TO BARE! AN ANGEL GOT HER WINGS!😥MUCH LOVE TO YOU ALL!!! X X X X
Probably not much to see in the crash footage, other than a lot of dust being kicked up for hundreds of yards. At those speeds it would look like a jet accident scene, debris scattered over a large area and not much recognizable left.
RIP.
R.I.P. Jessie .
Hey that was her passion and she died loving what she enjoyed doing!
Rest in peace, brave warrior.

How tf did sumn in 1976 go 512 mph but in 2019 it can't be done
My exact question
Uhhh because millennials are doing it now and they suck at most things in comparison to the harder and less cradled previous generations. Have access to way more and do far less with it and that spans from music to cooking to pretty much anything lmao
@@unknownname1681 Uhhh because millennials are doing it now and they suck at most things in comparison to the harder and less cradled previous generations. Have access to way more and do far less with it and that spans from music to cooking to pretty much anything lmao
They went 763mph because a man was behind the wheel.
The sad reality is that who really gives a shit about how fast your car goes? Most of the world doesn't even know her or her record. Such is human nature, some risk their existence for little return, and some praise it as if it is something to be worshipped, it's not. It's actually a waste, an unnecessary reckless abandonment to the sanctity of life. Futile and meaningless.
The speed limit is 70mph for good reason, and nobody drives around in a rocket car. Grow up.
Im in chock, what a terrible waste
There will not be much of an investigation. If it was an aircraft NTSB would investigate it. The accident was due to high risk record setting in a 1950's jet fighter they knocked the wings off and bolted wheels on.
An no cage. Not a good idea
Sad😥!
Well, if you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.
And yet there's new stories and praise for her and her accomplishments. What will people say when you die? "He made a damn mean pancake"?
@@davidjothen6789 Some people are born with a mental illness which pushes them to do dangerous things that we as humans just shouldn't do. Jumping out of a plane for example, Free climbing buildings and natural structures without ropes or safety equipment, racing rocket cars faster then the speed of sound etc. All of these things, we have no natural business doing. Yet there is a very, very, very small percentage of people that have some sort of chemical imbalance in their brain where they can't hep themselves but do these dome things.
Ocean master, so you are now claiming she had a mental illness? That’s rich! I guess Neil Armstrong, Chuck Yeager and every iron worker that constructed the Empire State Bldg. was nuts! I suggest if you want to see a mental illness that involves a total lack of empathy, take a look in the mirror.
And “no natural business doing”? Please explain what is natural? Was spanning a canyon with a structure natural? Was the first open heart surgery or transplant natural? We do not go as a world or society without risk taking.
@@davidjothen6789 Yes, she was mentally ill. And so are your comparisons. I never said NUTS....your leftwing Wired Democrat brain said that. I said a mental illness...which is indeed what these people suffer from that have an uncontrollable desire to play Russian Roulette. You play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.
Her courage is inspiring, she has a warrior's spirit.
Oh man you're fucking insane
A true race hero RIP
She died doing what she loved. Too soon but accomplished more than most in her life. RIP.
Most will live longer than her to accomplish more than her.
That THING, a decommissioned F104 fighter,
didn't even have a cage! How the heck did it ever pass the technical inspection?
Seen a lot of land speed cars, they ALWAYS had a cage built into them. At least
2 people should be brought up on criminal charges, the designer, and the tech
inspector. The F104, or ANY aircraft for that matter were never designed with
crash protection in mind. ALL race cars, by any race rule book I have ever seen,
are supposed to, or they are not allowed to compete. This was supposedly running
under FIA's eye, how was it ever certified to run ???
I can't believe anyone would do something like that without a cage. Had there been a proper cage, she would likely still be here. WTF were they thinking?
@@ryanchristensen1799 I'd like to see proof on that claim. I saw a picture of the car after the fact and it was completely destroyed. I mean twisted beyond recognition. Absolutely nothing left of the cockpit. It would take some serious evidence to prove to me she burned before she was mangled. An even so. That speed with no cage? Simply not safe enough.
@@ryanchristensen1799 I kinda doubt that
