did the same 2 days after i bought mine 2 skar sk-mini amps 8"x11"x2" both 4channel 400 watt and 500/1 subwoofer amp, i have to shallow 10's in a ported skar sub box ,done trucks and cars stereo's for years, sound freak,, as you can use any good quality amps and speakers, make sure you pic a good head unit, many will say my cheap 50 deck sounds great,,but if you have a chance hear the sound quality of a good head unit another car or truck and then the 50 dollar one. most do not compare, in my sequoia i have a Mechless deck Alpine ILX-W650 sounds amazing.
Of course not. We use abs plastic to make fuse mounts, and utilize the battery tie down strap to make amount / sandwich plate to secure the fuse in place. Keeps it serviceable without letting the fuse holder flop around the engine bay. Don't be an idiot and screw your holder into the battery (I'd assume thats common sense?)
@@ProvoBeastAudio I didn’t think you did but you have to admit from that angle it looks like it. Thought I would bring it up so no one else would make that mistake.
I have the same setup in my 06 Sequoia. You can find an adapter at crutchfield or sonic electronix. It will allow you to still use the factory amp and speakers
Yes. If you keep the factory radio, just will need a line out converter. If you have a aftermarket radio, it’s all irrelevant since the radio itself has rca outputs regardless if you have the factory amp or not.
@@ProvoBeastAudio I am having trouble setting up my amp with my factory jbl radio, I have tried multiple output converters and no luck. I know it’s from the converter; amp, sub, and rca cables are perfect, is there a specific line output converter I can get? Thanks
Why not use the wiring from the existing amp, or did this sequioa not have an amp... sorry didnt watch the whole video after I noticed that you were running a completely new "hot" wire.
Yeah I'm a bit lost on this as well. It seems as if they already deleted the factory JBL amp or they're bypassing it and just running the wires for the sub only.
The sub was added later, and most amp and sub installs really come down to the installation of the amplifier, as the sub in most circumstances are plug and play.
Parts used linked in the description of the video!
You sure made that look easy
Made it such a easy process for me thanks
Thanks for the vid

I have a question my 05 sequoia
Has a factory jlb system I wanna has a subwoofer and amp in the back. Can I do this the same way you are doing it
What’d you find out. In the same boat with mine right now
Well what’s the answer??
How did you run the wires to the back? Was there a need to remove the middle row? All under carpet? Trying to gauge the time consumption
Did you actually screw the fuse breaker into the battery at 7:08?

I have a 06 Toyota sequoia with a built-in app underneath the council I’m trying to hook up my double den but I can’t find a harness to Connecticut
I have the same setup in my 06 Sequoia. You can find an adapter at crutchfield or sonic electronix. It will allow you to still use the factory amp and speakers
So is it possible to retain the factory amp to the doors and then hook rca to the subwoofers?
