Wish I saw all this earlier. For mine, I replaced the amp with the Kenwood 5 channel (under the arm rest), with focal in the front/rear. Chose to run new wire, which was a pain. Kenwood sealed woofer in the back, along with headrest monitors and a flipdown monitor. took me a good 3 days. This vid could have saved me some time! its done though, and sounds good enough.
I have a '01 Sequoia that I love and even though I have no intention of trying this, I couldn't stop watching til the end of the video. Seems with an old vehicle, much safer to leave this kind of thing to the pros. Nice video!
These full installs are like crack, I'm addicted. Love a full install video. Can't wait to see which of your customers ends up going with the new Sony stuff that came out. The new speakers and subwoofer. That is the build I'm looking for. I am a huge Sony nerd for home audio and I am so glad they released HiFi car stuff because I know its gonna be ear-gasmic.
The 7.5" driver in the door is easily repaired with a new surround to the tune of $15. As long as it wasn't played once the original surround rotted, it should be fine. Shame to lose that larger driver. Would like to know what the options are just for replacing the head unit if possible. But I also have the limited version with the DVD entertainment version and different dash.
great install: for the fronts in this application, in order to have a simple drop in install, and not spend a full day building mounting rings, what front speakers do you recommend? Also, is it reasonable to reuse the factory tweeters, since they are probably sufficient? thank you!
Thanks for the vid guys. Would it be easier (and cost effective) for an installer to start fresh...just pull and toss the JBL amps and just run new wire from a new head unit to new speakers instead of patching/using adapter harnesses?
I remember when this SUVs came out I was probably 10 years old my dad first thing he like was the sound system but he end up buying Yukon xl that time. But always made me wonder how good the drivers where in sequoia
I JUST bought a 1st gen Sequioa on Monday and want to upgrade the stock system. I remember watching your videos for head unit reviews and have actually made great choices on previous vehicles because of them. I might just copy the exact same equipment minus the Fosgate as all seats will be used. How long did this install take and what is the estimated labor cost for this job?
Quick question. I have an 06 tundra double cab. Doesn't have jbl system. Going with 7 inch kenwood excelon components set for front and 7 inch coaxial in rear. I purchased a Jl Audio amplifier that is 75 watts rms per channel for midrange. Will the factory speaker wiring be sufficient? If not what gauge wire should I upgrade to?
I love love your channel. I have done a few of these and the door speakers foam/surround just crumbled in my hands. Horrible great install as usual Request: I own a 2012 Genesis sedan, do you ever get request to replace or integrate with aftermarket stereos?? There is NOTHING that can be found on it. Please help 🙁
I have about the same set up in my seqouia (previous owner had it installed) but couldn't get my rca's to work when i tried to add a subwoofer. What wires did you guys tap into to get signals for the rca. Can somebody help me? I"d appreciate it.
Toyota tech from Texas I replace so many jbl Speaker’s under warranty because the glue would melt between the paper and the frame of the speaker or the magnet would rattle.
Hey quick question here that I hope you can answer (brand related) I’m doing a speaker and head unit install on my dads conversion van and to make him happy I planned a full kenwood excelon setup but that comes with a chunk of money so I was wondering if the quality of skar audio is good too, for example keeping the suggested sub and using a 5 channel from skar and swapping components for them too. Would we get the same quality as an older company like kenwood or the same because the input source is the constant in this scenario?
I wouldn't do it.. if you were just saying wanted to go all kenwood excelon, then do that. Excelon is their top stuff. Skar is more budget build, I would say better for bass amps, subs. But I haven't heard their components- skar, probably best if you can get a demo sound comparison for both brands
I recone those. Never found a speaker I could put in these that sounds as good as the original. I’ve also never seen one where a recone wasnt possible.
He screwed it from behind. Remember that guys. Oh and also dont use the same ones in the bottom hole that you used in the top. Oh and some are 2.5 inches but if you're lucky you'll have the 6.5 or 7.5 version. Beefy beefy beefy...
Love the full build videos. Keep up the good work fellas.

Very informative video I feel like I gained so much knowledge I’ll never do those myself but it’s nice to watch

Thanks a lot!! I just bought one of these
Still waiting for that '01 Highlander base trim install... 🤣
I probably missed this in the video, but did you replace the amplifiers for the door speakers or reuse the original ones?
Hello from Tennessee !
Do you have a template available for that front speaker adapter you cut out of the plastic?
Thought thoz speakers came with foam for in front of the speaker too??
I love love your channel. I have done a few of these and the door speakers foam/surround just crumbled in my hands. Horrible great install as usual

Good day, What was the amp size on the fuse in the engine compartment?
Awesome job I have a 2006 Toyota sequoia and I’m looking to replace my radio. Where can I find you guys or where are you located?
I have about the same set up in my seqouia (previous owner had it installed) but couldn't get my rca's to work when i tried to add a subwoofer. What wires did you guys tap into to get signals for the rca. Can somebody help me? I"d appreciate it.
So you said you attached the yellow/red wires from the 2" to the new 7", do the other 2 wires that used to go to the 6.5" just not get used?
Wonder about this as well. This is the only part I'm confused about.
Toyota tech from Texas I replace so many jbl Speaker’s under warranty because the glue would melt between the paper and the frame of the speaker or the magnet would rattle.
No amp to those speakers? That radio is like 18 watts per channel
Do you have to change your amplifier ? Or can I just change my blown speakers
Where did you order your plug and play socket
Very informative

Any videos of any ram 1500
How can i get an install done by you guys
39:36 how many sun glass holders does he need? lol
6:58 I was hoping that I could use the factory wiring for 6.5" subwoofers in the rear doors 😡
What was the cost of the install ?
Stinger select is their weak sauce wiring kits.. have the cca power wire, not ofc. Budget system for the sequoia
I recone those. Never found a speaker I could put in these that sounds as good as the original. I’ve also never seen one where a recone wasnt possible.
Hi Guys! Anyone can help me to find the harness showed in the video? I don't want to cut the original plugs. Thanks in advance!
What harness are you looking for?
