Hey Pallidus, thanks for the support as always I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to capture my stereo upgrade on my GS but I can tell you that I used the exact same Sony double din unit and it works great. If you need some help/pointers feel free to shoot me an email at theautochap04@gmail.com and I’d be glad to guide you through the process.
As always, thanks for watching! :)

Hi you did a great job installing the dd deck but I was wondering where did you get the cover for the front dash ? I also have a Sequoia and have some scratches and discoloration on my dash and would love to get that to cover everything as the color you have is the exact color of my dash If it's not too much trouble please let me know and keep up the good work.

Hello! I’m glad you found the video helpful. For the dash cover it was installed by the previous owner but I looked at the label which says it is made by a company called ‘Dash topper’. Here is the link to the product page -
      dashtopper.com/p-37086-custom-dash-covers-main.html#wsm-slide-278087
If you enter the details like the make and model you can then select the specific cover you want. The type of cover i have is ‘carpet’ and the color is either ‘charcoal’ or ‘gray’. I think charcoal looks closest, but unfortunately I can’t tell 100% which one I have as I didn’t install it.
Hope that is helpful. Thank you for watching and subscribing, I really appreciate it! 😀

Whatever I don’t show in the video, I just leave disconnected. Everything you need to connect I have covered in the video.
      Thanks for watching!

Did this keep the factory amp or did it bypass it?

This method keeps the factory amp driving the speakers. Thanks for watching! 😊

What did you do with the second smaller power cable that came out of the OEM radio?

    • @theautochap
      @theautochap  10 місяців тому +1

I show it at 6:07 in the video, you can just tape it up.

Can I do this with the ATOTO F7WE?

As long as it is a double din sized stereo, yes it will fit the adapter I used. The wiring may be different though.

Hi can you help me. I have the same radio brand & model on my 02 seqouia. My radio volume when I turn all the way up the noise is very low. Turns on you can hear the music but very low. What can it be? Thank you

Could be an issue with the head unit itself, also if this head unit has a smaller amp than the factory unit that would also lead to decreased power to the speakers

The low level RCA outputs shown in this video assume you have an external (JBL) amplifier. I think there should be other wires to use in the wiring harness if you do NOT have the JBL amp.
